  1. If this thread is going to become an inane parade of the freakshows of life, I thoroughly approve. Taksraven
  2. Not that that was a bad thing..... Taksraven
  3. What show were you watching?? Taksraven
  4. C'mon. Take of the rose-coloured glasses. Larry made his fair share of shite too..... Taksraven
  5. You are soft. I hate ANIME in general. So there! Taksraven
  6. I don't need news stories like that to make me aware of my superiority. (Hows that for arrogant!) Taksraven
  7. I have always wanted my own "Robert Cop" Check out the rest of the site, it rocks. They used to have some Robotech and Macross stuff on it but I don't know if they still do.... Taksraven
  8. Thanks for that. Eric Idle, one of the most underrated Pythons. Taksraven
  9. Saw the trailer for "Clash of the Titans" in the cinema last night when I was waiting to see "The men who stare at Goats" (Good to see Ewan as a fantastic type of Jedi in it) Clash does look impressive. I think that they should give out Academy Awards for trailers, since its clear these days that the work that goes into them rivals the actual production of the film itself. BUT, I wouldn't award it to the most entertaining trailer, instead I would give it to the trailer that brings in the most business for the crappiest film. In other words, the trailer that makes the most shit film seem to be good and subsequently brings in the most box office. Taksraven
  10. Yeah, when I first heard about that I cried for days and couldn't sleep for a few weeks. DAMN YOU, TOMMY!!!!! Taksraven
  11. LOL!!! Taksraven
  12. Maybe since the X-9 is the experimental prototype, they had to scale it larger so it was easier to work on?? Taksraven
  13. I think that the whole "Destroy Earth with the Neutron-S missiles" that was seen at the end of Robotech was just the writers trying to make the series seem more "hardcore", especially with the mention of "Scorched Earth tactics" etc. Since they knew that "Admiral Hunter" was never going to appear in Mospeada, they just made the decision to have him apparently giving the orders. It was a botch-up anyway. Taksraven
  14. I will celebrate the 25th anniversary of RT with a few observations. They are mostly obvious, but who cares. If it wasn't for Rt I would not have discovered Macross as soon as I did. I would have discovered it with the release of Macross Plus and "Clash of the Bionoids" in the mid 1990's. Would these shows have had the same impact on me by that stage, who knows. Taksraven
  15. Couldn't be bothered. New SW now really seems like flogging a dead horse to me. Taksraven
  16. The one thing I thought about the Jedi when they were at their peak was that they would be a more "military" sort of organisation. I thought that Yoda and Obi Wan dressed the way they did in the original trilogy 'cause they were going pretty much incognito, I didn't think for one second that the shabby robes were traditional Jedi getup. That and the fact that he was referred to as "General" Kenobi in A New Hope really made me think that the Jedi would be wearing uniforms similar to what the Imperial officers wore in the original trilogy. And I was disappointed. Taksraven
  17. You mean that its easier to bait Rutger Haur fans than Blade Runner fans? Get outta here..... Taksraven
  18. Gee. I think that the prequel trilogy ruined the whole SW mythology! Who would have thought? I didn't like Jar-Jar either! Who would have thought??!! NEXT!!!!!! Taksraven
  19. LOL, games being called "important". Taksraven
  20. What we need is somebody to take some choice Bendo quotes and remix them to a backing track, then they could have a feem toon for the RTLAM! Taksraven
  21. Looks fannish to me, but I know nothing. Taksraven
  22. The times that I have been howled down about being "rude", "dirty" or "pornographic", and now we are supposed to have a thread about this series of films that I consider to be "violence porn"? I can cope with a lot of horror films but this series and the bloody Hostel films which seem to be dedicated to torturing people so we can enjoy the results. (Yes, I know its not real and I don't have to watch, yadda yadda) My point is that if these forums are supposed to be relatively PG, then shouldn't there be an addition to Number 2. of the prohibited behaviour: to include stuff about graphic violence? I know that there are times when we might get fairly extreme discussing violence, but its always part of a passing conversation, not in a thread dedicated to it. I know I'm not a mod but I hate double standards. (No offence, Pizza) Taksraven
  23. Which reminds me of .... Taksraven
  24. I really enjoyed Sirens (but not because Sam Neill was in it), but it wasnt a good film. Since you don't live in AUS though, its not likely that you have seen Sam in his most roles . Taksraven
