What do you mean? A lot of films have an extremely long time between initial development and actual production. I was reading the other day how Wall-E was first proposed back in '93. And if you want to make a good film you take the time. (actually, a lot of films are overwritten as well, how many movies have we heard of going through umpteen billion scripts before shooting begins, and often the writing process continues while a film is still being shot......) Taksraven (IMO, Waspinator RULED Beast Wars, followed by Dinobot MkI, then Rattrap. That show was so funny but serious at the same time, the perfect formula)

More honesty.... THE PUPPETS OF THE ORIGINAL TV SERIES HAVE MORE ACTING ABILITY THAN THE CAST OF THIS FILM!!!

Ok, I fixed up the Fight Club one, but I think that the others are fairly legitimate. Lets face it, if people did know some of these 'facts' about the film beforehand they might not go to see them. The Ronin one in particular pissed me off when I saw it, along the lines of 'Whats the effing point!!!!' I could do the same to similar films like "The Others" or "The Sixth Sense", but I am not nasty. :lol: Taksraven

OUCH! Nah, I think that a little bit of love, energy and manpower went into the creation of Southern Cross, I think that it was just a little bit too 'out there' for a lot of anime fans. I have to agree with the belief that if this show had not been taken up as part of RT it would truly be forgotten now. Taksraven

It got a video release in Australia back in the 90's but I haven't seen a copy for ages. (Not likely to see it again either the way most of our video rental shops are trashing their VHS stock, *sigh*) I did hire it when it came out but I remember little about the show. Taksraven

Yes and no. I couldn't really care about how canonical the movie series is, but what I *really* miss that they managed to get right with a show like Beast Wars was the quality of the writing. I think that the movie (esp the characters) was underwritten and weak. Yes, I know that is all we are likely to get from Bruckheimer and Bay, but I still think that a great opportunity was missed, especially with the budget they had. Taksraven

Low budget should never really mean suckage, it should just mean a lot of harder work with the potential to still make a good product. I apply the logic that usually its a case of the higher the budget the lazier the filmmaking. (Star Wars prequel series, anyone?) Taksraven
