  1. You sort of mashed the titles together. There were TWO PCEngine CD games. One was MAcross 2036, the other was MAcross: Eternal Love Song.
  2. Educated guess: Not Macross, though it was likely inspired by Macross to some degree. First, the title looks to be "Strategic Variable Fighter Rafaga". The logo doesn't look like it says Macross(I'm going by looks and what little english is floating on the page, as I can't actually read japanese, but the fact that Macross only has 4 characters and the game logo has what looks to be 6 is a dead giveaway). Second: The modes are labelled fighter, spinner, and soldier, as opposed to the beloved fighter, GERWALK, battroid trio we all know. Third: The mech doesn't really look much like a Macross design. For example, doesn't Kawamori usually do something with the wings in battroid mode instead of just leaving them hanging out into midair?

    yamato sdf-1?

It's unarguably smaller than Pluto last I heard. And people are still raising a fuss occasionally about Pluto being a planetoid. And what is a toy line without the title toy? Actually is not a planet or planetoid, it is the folding system from the Macross! OF COURSE! It's so obvious, how could I miss it?
  4. Macross Plus is hte same story, only one is stretched out a little longer. Which is the better version is personal preference.
  5. At it's heart, it's still a Supervision Army vessel. I jut don't see why the Zentradi would have a factory capable of producing enemy vessels, but not their own ships.
  6. You can get virus updates free. They slap them up on their site for all the world to download. http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html
  7. There's at least one more. they ran across it on the way to the factory sattelite.

    Planetoid. Not planet.

    VFX2

Only if it's modded. Console manufacturers love their regional lockouts.

Man, a 1/48 SDF-1 would be about 75 feet long. Even in "crappy" 1/60 scale, it would be about 60 feet long. That thing wouldn't even fit in the garage. You'd need a warehouse! But you were just joking, right? Yes. I realize it's hard to tell sometimes. ... Now if it was 1:1, THEN I'd be serious...

Wow a 1/60 or a 1/48 SDF-1 Macross THAT WOULD BE HUGE!!! probably we can store it in the garage instead of the the car Just joking, they should make a Movie version of the Macross! I think we'd be storing the garage in it, actually.

Only if it's in 1/48. None of this 1/60 crap.
  16. Bah! Shockwave is a reissue of a Astro Magnum. All those early TF's are just reissues from other lines. But nostalgia means I'd rather have the TF one.
  17. Well said. Outside of nostalgia G1 largely sucks. Some of them are decent, but TRU is smoking crack to charge what they're charging normal price... sad part is that some people must be buying it! Nostalgia goes a LONG way. And they aren't even reissuing the GOOD stuff. If they reissue Shockwave, I'll be all over it, price be damned. Heck, if Megatron came to the States, I'd grab it, just to annoy some soccer mom.
  18. WHOO! SHAKE THAT ASS! Nice work. ... But don't they run on hydrogen? The only thing being exhausted should be water. </spoilsport>
  19. lol! I had forgotten about that 'argument." 1/48 detractor: "How do you sleep at night?" 1/48 owner: "On a gigantic pile of money, surrounded by many beautiful Valkyries." Heehee. Don't forget "Valkyries are boring, gimme destroids". And "GIMME 1/48 Q-RAU! 1/60 IS LAME!"
  20. Is there room to hollow out a hole and make the head hinged? Or is that more effort than you wish to spend to make it look not poopy and half-assed?
  21. They're going off the TV story. Essentially. They just use the DYRL art style. Which doesn't matter, since HG's claim is htey own Macross, not the original TV series.
  22. You don't need to understand Japanese to be able to play the Japanese Macross PS2 game. Graham Yeah....but sometimes you need to know your mission objectives. I kept failing in one of the missions cause I don't know what happened or what went wrong. You played as Kakizaki.
  23. The Orguss Valkyrie is an easter egg in Macross, not a Valkyrie-type mech in Orguss.
  24. yeah,, waayyy better than Subways. Heh, Subway came to HK about 18 months ago, opened up two branches, but they only lasted about a year before they folded. I ate there about half a dozen times. Their food was ok, but I found all their sandwiches actually tasted pretty similar Unfortunately, HK has a serious lack of diversity in US style fast food as McDonalds rules everything here.......yuk de culture! We have like nearly 200 branches of McDonalds. I mean literally anywhere you are in HK, you are no more than 5-10 minutes walk away from at least one branch of McDonalds. We also have KFC and Pizza hut and a few Hardies (like maybe 3 branches left) but that's it All the Jack-in-the-Box, Wendys, Burger King shut shop and left down a long time ago....... I'd love to see a Taco Bell opening in HK and also Jack-in-the-Box return, as I loved their Ultimate Cheeseburgers. What were we talking about again........oh yeah, Macross Graham I pity you. McDonald's has the crappiest food around. Even if other nations get higher-grade food, it's still probably poop in a bun. I recommend you start sneaking out and altering the signs to say MacrossNalds.
  25. Its dodgy that Hasbro showed the Takara versions on the boxart instead of their own. The Prime, Sideswipe and Smokescreen were all the Takara versions shown on the box. To be fair, between the burns and choppsed smokestacks(more battle damage? )it's kind of hard to think you're getting the japanese version just by looking at the front of the box.
