Yeah. The show was one of those things I WANTED to recommend to a few people, but couldn't bring myself to actually do.

Apparently the squeaky wheel gets the oil. I bitched about WreckGar, then went out and found one. Exactly one laying on a shelf. Actually, someone walked by, picked it up, looked at it, and set it back down. I saw it as he set it down, went "Oooooh..." and walked over. I love how his head is kinda cocked to the side with a dopey grin. ... But now I have to buy a Ratchet so I can have WreckGar leaning down into Ratchet's face. "I am only good for one thing. GARBAGE!" In the meantime, he can just stand there while Blitzwing buries his face in his hands out of embarassment.

Actually, Sky Girls wasn't half-bad. Far better than you'd expect, especially given the basis of the show. ... Or so I've heard. Obviously I'd never watch something that looked that dumb. ... What? Why does nobody ever believe me?

Gee, that would be awesome... IF THEY'D EVER STOCKED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE! I HATE YOU TARGET!

Yeah. Galvatron's design makes it pretty clear there's abandoned features and that he was intended for a larger scale. As-is, he's a pretty sad 'bot next to the rest of the line.

He did it to save EVERYONE 2 keystrokes. His educational campaign may extend the life expectancy of keyboards worldwide.

I saw 3 WreckGars once. And didn't have the cash for one. ... Yeah, it remains the only sighting.

It's a little-known fact that the Love Hina comics were a biography from the future. My anime's been made. Everyone loved it. ... Now to figure out where my harem got put...

It could've been an ACTUAL Minmay song, sung AFTER Space War 1, that was used in DYRL because it became THE Minmay song.

*sigh* I may have to get Jetfire. I'm a sucker for the Blackbird. Even a Blackbird with a robot hanging under it and a gun strapped to the nose, which in my opinion just shouldn't happen on a leader-class figure. ... Now, if they wanted to be REALLY awesome, they would've modeled him after a YF-12 and had the gun go in the missile bay. I admit they lose a bit of marketing potential there, since the SR-71 IS the best-known. They probably would've called it a SR-71 even if it was a YF-12.

That and the original talent was still available, and of the same mindset they were when they made the original. I think I found the biggest contrast between classic Macross and modern Macross. Global and company have a collective forehead slap when they find out the Zentradi BELIEVED that kung-fu movie about people shooting magic energy from their hands and whipping giants with it. It was just so absurd that no one should have been taking it seriously. This is the real made-up world, and things like that just don't happen. Fast-forward to the present and hey, we have magic song energy! Not so much in Frontier, but ...

And stuff like Cosmos makes me wonder why the GoBots take so much crap. http://www.toyarchive.com/Gobots/Regular/Pathfinder.html

Consider it done. Zeta Gundam is exempted. Considered, and vetoed. G-Fortress mode is a clunky mess with no cohesive theme. It's not as blatantly sloppy as the Wing, but it's still a sad excuse for a transformation. . I do, however, find the separated partial fighters a reasonable attempt. Arms and legs aren't just left hanging loose, they are given purpose. And they aren't hideously ugly! Though the Top Core Fighter, or whatever it's called, would look better with the arms folded away and the wing/tail fins brought up to where the shoulder plates rest, as well as giving the shoulder plates purpose. Could even use the shoulder plates AS the tail fins, which would make robot mode's shields lay flat, so they'd look better! Everyone wins! Had more effort gone into making the combined G-Fortress a cohesive fighter, and hiding the arms in Core Top Fighter, it would've been awesome as a sort of Legioss/Tread counterpoint(only transformable combined, instead of only transformable separated).

Ya know... the space helicopter actually looks awesome. And a bit like the Gundam X. I like how the thrusters on the blades are arranged in chopper mode. Lot of designers would've put all 4 facing backwards, or all pointing in the same way(powered prop spin yeah!). I think they flubbed the robot mode, though. In that pic, 3 point one way and one points another. As far as lamest transformation goes... The Logan at least TRIES(and I think it has a certain charm in robot mode. Sorta like the Acguy. We need an Acguy plushie.). The Asshimar turns into a flying life saver. The Psyco Gundam turns into a giant BOX. And the Wing Gundam turns into a... a... "Hey, if I lay down and hold my shield over my face, they won't notice I don't actually transform!" Ya know what? All Gundam transformers suck the worst. Blanket statement. Should suitable objection be raised, I will consider exempting the Zeta from this charge.

Doesn't matter. Anything that can make Shockwave look THAT awesome deserves some credit. The Prime linked earlier looked pretty slick too.

Don't forget when the bridge bunnies took the spies to the disco!

Grendizer.

I can't get both slots to engage. I dunno if I have the wings angled wrong or what, but they physically will not engage. I just hold it up there while I flip the rest of the armor around, then let the front shoulder armor hold it up.

There's a few glaring errors it'd be nice to see fixed, though the traditional animation VS digital production makes that a huge undertaking. One that springs to mind is...there's a head-on shot of Kakizaki in his Valk cockpit, engine exhaust trailing behind him in one of the episodes. And they stacked it wrong for one cut to that shot, so the exhaust is the top layer instead of behind everything but space. The episode isn't one of the bad ones, and the error is ... well, not subtle, but not obvious either. It took me a few viewings to figure out WHAT was wrong, though I could tell something WAS wrong. But yeah... Macross is not Evangelion. Macross is not Gundam. No one will reanimate the series, nor even just the bad episodes.

The original? I like the Mk2, myself. Possibly because I'm strange. And everyone else just looks at me and goes "The Ray? Why? The original's way better!" when I say that. And then I am sad.
