Very easy pass. VF-4 Arcadia, VF-4!
-
Ok, after transforming it battroid and back, some impressions.
1) My copy is incredibly stiff, to the point where I want to put a tiny amount of lube in the die cast parts and loosen some screws
How about warming the die-cast parts with a hair dryer, do you think it can make it flexible?

Good luck Graham!Am looking into possibility to get replacement wings for the two of you with broken wings. Small chance, but stay tuned.
Sucks when you have a broken wing on a 300 dollar toy knowing there is a bunch of spares at the factory.
Mine is coming from Nippon Yassan, fingers crossed.

No, I made better stickers using ultra thin 3M sheets. What are you referring to? Did you make custom waterslide decals?
Another option is to use the decals of the 1/48 Hasegawa, though some marks may be too big for the 1/60.
-
I still have a few of my custom stickers that are better than the factory. You might want to try them.
-
We will see more variations of the YF-19, that is why I did not buy two. I expect Arcadia to lower the price by 80 dollars, not including missiles and fast packs.
-
Is there a safe way to remove the Made in China printing? I would think a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol would do it, but I'm afraid it might damage the plastic.
The lettering on the wing is starting to bother me too. Isopropyl alcohol will take it off easily.
-
By the way, still in stock at HLJ. Those of you who have doubts of spending too much, will regret later not buying this one when it was available. That happened to me with the VF-4, hope Arcadia reissues it this year.
-
Arcadia nailed the definitive YF-19. Sadly, it cost a bit much to have a pair. But, I will be waiting for a Ravens scheme or any other fancy version, coz this valk looks great in any color.
-
I just got the message from Nippon Yassan that the product is in stock.
It's time...this is the most expensive valk I have ever bought, better be good.
-
The toy better be good or I will sue Arcadia this time
-
The box is ugly once again. They could've recreated a fight scene using the toy or adding pictures of the anime characters. The box does not justify the extra bucks I'm paying.
-
Such a small but complex triangular piece that Bandai did not want to make replacements.
-
I have not bought a pair of the same valk in years, but I will eventually buy another one. Hope Arcadia releases a new paint variation pretty soon.
-
I had the VF-19S in my cart. Even though it was gone on the sale, I still had the chance to pay but I let it go. I am felling guilty of spending too much on the YF -19
-
I regret not buying this one when it was US$300. At that time, I thought it was too much for a toy. Now the trend is higher prices but better aesthetics on the toy. A nice example is th upcoming YF-19.
I'll wait for Arcadia to reissue the VF-4G, no rush.
-
At least we had the chance to get parts for the Yamato VF-1 shoulders. And Yamato offered free shoulder parts for the defective Megazone Garland in the US.
Too bad that Bandai does not care to do the same. It would have been perfecf to add free shoulder triangles on the armor set.
-
I have to say that thanks to this issue I could get another VF-171 very cheap. First time in years that I got a pair of the same valk.
I have one in fighter and the other one in battroid. The broken triangles were a pain to glue but they are holding fine. Both toys make a great display together.
-
Hope Arcadia reissues the VF-4G while we wait for this one.

I remember using Japantodoor.com for bidding on Yahoo Japan, very easy process. I think I paid a considerable comission but I wanted the item so much, I didn't care. I received the item from Japan to South America at no time and was very satisfied.
-
Chronocidal thanks for the heads up. NY declared my package worth €8! Damn that's cheeky. Customs will know it's bullshit but funny nonetheless, and NY did it without me asking.
Yeah, NY declare the toys ridiculously low. I would be more comfortable if they make an invoice with a value of US$20. That price would be reasonable.
-
I would take it easy and buy only one. Like Yamato, Arcadia will milk the mold no doubt, so there will be other versions.
-
Interested on the armor parts for the vf-17 Nightmare but I think is a bit high even if shipping is included.
Arcadia YF-19 coming in 2014

This was "loco"! but glad it turned out the way I wanted. It stays fine without glue, so I can still transform it.
I will later paint the landing gear and add the stickers.
