Macross Δ (Delta) - Mission 6 - READ 1st POST

Yup. I like the dynamic of the group as far as the story itself, but the songs with the entire group are kind of meh to me. I hope that changes in the future.I know with Frontier there was a point where I didn't think they were going to top my favorites. Then the movies came out. -
That's what I think as well. Just ideas. I hope they are not just something done for display at the toy shows. They will be instant buys if they get released.

I can visualize Chie Kajiura singing the ending song to Delta, as I think the upbeat tempo and tone of the song fits in well along with the M7 ending song, Dakedo Baby. It's my speculation that, perhaps, they wanted to do an ending credits similar to M7 and they wanted a song that had a similar upbeat feel. Of course the Delta song has a more contemporary sound. That's to be expected. I guess what I'm saying is that in a way, to me, it seems like a natural progression of the M7 sound 20 years later with regard to their more J-Pop songs as opposed to the M7 J-Rock songs. At least, this particular song (the extended version on the single). Not any of the other Delta songs of course. -

Maybe he spent time in simulators I would speculate, but in the show it seemed it was his first time in a real Valk when he jumped in one to save Ranka. He seemed nervous at first. -
I'm curious if people are always getting a stand with Roy? Are they in more bountiful quantities then we think? Is it still too soon that stock of them hasn't run out yet?

It's her rune that makes it great. The song is chock full of rune-y goodness. -
Ha ha! His skin tight flight suit feels like he's wearing nothing at all. Stupid sexy Focker.

Finally, the extended version of the ending credits song Rune ga Pika to Hikattara. I like this song. The rest not so much so far. The ending credits song captures the spirit of M7 IMHO. I'm thinking that's why the ending credits animation looks inspired by M7 as well. -

No way, it's totally legit. He got it from MaciLeaks. -

Might I ask what method did you use to straighten them? I was going to dip the tail fins in very hot water to soften them. I am weary of using direct heat. -

Yeah I wasn't feeling this particular song either. Oh well, I guess they can't all be hits. -

I think it can be mounted underneath. Here's another pic looking at it from another angle. Yes? The real question is did Mirage have a similar loadout? I could never get a good view of that area on her particular valk, so it's possible I suppose. I didn't think Hayate had the gunpod. Where does it go when in battriod mode if it's not being held in it's hand? Edit: also I don't think the bottom gunpod is the same as one that would be mounted on the weapons rack on top. From googling pics it looks like the bottom mounted gunpod is smaller then one that would go on top. I don't know, maybe it's the same one. There's a pic at taghobby showing the gunpod underneath. http://www.taghobby.com/1-0/1-2/tomytec-2016%E5%B9%B48%E6%9C%88%E7%99%BC%E5%94%AE-%E6%8A%80mix-series-mcr10-1144%E3%80%8Amacross-delta%E3%80%8Bvf-31j-siegfriedhayate-immelman%E6%A9%9F-fighter-mode-4000yen/ -

Ah, I see. I thought you were simply listing named planets in Macross based on the title you put on the list in this thread. It did seem like a glaring oversight if that was the case. -

I added some pics in my original post about it. I was able to get free shipping from toysrus.com on orders over $19. It doesn't seem like it's for a limited time either. Looks like a new shipping strategy they are doing to be competative. I mean I can live with the size, lack of detail or lack of certain features due to the price, but the plastc and die-cast metal being warped and sloppy paint is just not right. -

Yeah, I just got mine in today. Pretty disappointed by the quality. It's a decent enough size, but my top tail fins are seriously warped down. They should be straight at about a 45 degree angle. They're curved down almost horizontal on mine. When I looked at the plastic packaging I can see that they probably wouldn't even fit if the top fins were at the proper angle. The paint apps on the missiles is terrible. The main front lights are wrong, my right light piece is not even glued on correctly. The omission of the hydraulics for the cargo ramp is very conspicuous and glaring IMO. Even for the size they could have done something. I've seen it done on smaller toys. Sigh, with just a little more follow though and a little more QC this would have been a great little die cast toy. Oh well, hopefully the other ships will be a little better. Edit: I decided to add some pics of the problems and I thought why not show my latest Nausicaa acquisitions these last few weeks. Seriously warped top tail fins. I'm tempted to heat them up and straighten them out. The larger lower tail fins are die cast, yet they are also warped and bent out of shape. Sloppy paint on the missiles. I can't tell if all that goopy-ness is plastic or excess paint. Now for some cool Nausicaa stuff. We have the Nausciaa and Moeve prepainted model by Cominica Gunship by Formania Ohmu in it's calm blue-eyed state by ensky. The Ohmu is a pull back toy. It's kind of neat as the different sections move back and forth as well as the front mandilbes as it rolls across the floor so it looks like it's crawling and alive as it moves. -

Don't forget good ol' Earth. -
They're certainly last on my list of go to shops. I think they were the only ones offering the Roy early on. Later I think another shop was offering them.

It seems to me that Mikumo does spend a lot of time by herself. I'm thinking she's involved in higher level agendas apart from the normal duties of Walkure.- 273 replies

Like maybe an in scale pilot molded to sit inside. That would be really awesome.

Oh, yeah I forgot about that. I need to rewatch it. Lol!Regarding the Hayate/Freyja excursion, really there's no way he could have just taken it out for a joyride without someone being alerted and confronting him about it as soon as he started to take off. Besides, didn't he use the excuse of a training exercise, and isn't Freyja supposed to ride with him during missions. The scene honestly seemed a little shoe horned in to provide a nostolgic musical scene and provide some drama afterward.- 273 replies

Max had eyes for Millia during the video game. That's why he chased after her. It's only Milia that had to be convinced by Max. The DYRL scenerio was more mutual.- 273 replies

I like the inclusion of a scaled Zentradi warrior. I guess one would apply that to a piece of clear plastic and glue it to a base piece of plastic.
