  1. In case some of you haven't seen the MegaHouse Klan Klan
  2. Yeah, I always thought the officer pod was the coolest one of them all. Why o' why do I always like the mechs that no one wants to produce as a decent toy. Are we going to be mocked by only having the Matchbox one that is so out of proportion its ridiculous? Yet, I own 2 of the blasted toys! That goes to show how much I really like it. I wish I had modeling and painting skills, otherwise I would have built a nice model years ago.
  3. This brings up a question I had. Has anyone put out a Zentradi-Japanese-English dictionary. Who is actually responsible for creating the language, and did this pesron give the same treatment to the Zentradi language as say Star Trek with the Klingon language? Would it be possible for someone to actually learn and speak Zentradi, or is there not enough of the language created for one to become fluent? I know the original question was a newbie one, but it got me thinking.
  4. All we need is a Super Dimensional Television, then we could watch any episode we want past future or present.
  5. Looks good. Similar to the one in the previous Minmay figure collection, but a much better sculpt and colors IMO. I am a bit surprised that they are not first doing Frontier characters.
  6. http://www.hmv.co.jp/ If you do a search, type Macross Chronicle (not Chronicles). It should list all that they have to order and pre-order.
  7. Got a reply from HMV regarding holding an order. Quote "As for your inquiry, it depends on the delivery option you choose when placing an order. We can either send the order when we receive all the items in your order or we can ship the items already in stock by splitting your delivery to two times. Although your shipping fees will be revised, this option will cost you the delivery charge twice." So, as I suspected there doesn't seem to be a time limit on how long they will hold items. If you want to wait and send the entire order complete they will do so. That's it for me then. I will simply pre-order a batch of issues do the "ship when complete" shipping option, and try to be patient and wait a couple of months to get my batch of issues. This seems to be the most economical way for me to get them. I suppose I won't be buying any more art/sketch books for a while, or at least until the Chronicles is complete.
  8. Wowwawowee! Dose girls are haute! They(the girls and the costumes) seem pretty kinky if you ask me. Somehow they scare me for some reason. I'm just glad she didn't have the bayonet on the gun.
  9. Sorry for creating a confusion. No, HLJ does not have them for sale. I was just trying to use HLJ as an example of a website that has a policy to hold shipments for 2 months and ships regardless if it is complete or not. I will probably get them in batches of 4 to 8 at a time to save shipping I suppose. Also, I don't think I could wait any longer then that to get my hands on them.
  10. Why does bottom cleavage always fascinate me more than regular cleavage?
  11. Is there any confirmed info on how many issues will be released to complete the set? I think I'm simply going to pre-order all available issues from HMV and "ship when complete" to save shipping costs. I determined they charge your credit card when the orders ships. I sent an inquiry to HMV to ask them if they will actually hold until issue 8 is released. I will let you know their reply. I ask because HobbyLink Japan, for example, has a policy that they will ship in 2 months whatever is in stock even if you ask to hold the entire order. It will be a long, long wait, unfortunately, to get my Chronicles. I already go nuts just waiting for the next episode to be released and subbed. I need to just order it and forget about it so that I can be surprised when the shipment gets to me.
  12. Alto needs to end up with both of them. That's the fantasy at least. He is a bit of an a**hole for the reasons that were mention in this thread, and from my experience the douches end up getting what they want. What I always find funny is that many anime love stories have a thing where neither side can simply come out and express their true feelings to each other. But then we wouldn't have comical situations and the like.
  13. I have always wanted to see someone do a Minmay dress that lights like the one she wore in the opening concert scene in DYRL. I always think it would be neat to incorporate more gimmicks into the costumes. For example, if someone rigged a Ranka wig that has the sides hair lifting up like it does when she is excited. Maybe you could rig a device that sprinkles glitter stars when she does her patented hand sign or something. I wonder if anyone would do a really cool Ranka cell phone that makes the funny sounds when you squish it, or even one that plays mini-CDs from the mouth. If someone ever puts out a cool cell phone toy I will definitely buy it. Perhaps doing a DYRL spacesuit that completely lights up. I would love to see a Zentradi battle armor costume, or dare I say a power suit from either Zentan or Meltran. I guess I'm just a dreamer at heart.
  14. Is it possible they would ever put out a complete chronicles book that is hard bound or something after all issues have been published. Have any publishers done this for other anime?
  15. yeah that's right. Alto must be Even Steven because it all balances out for him.
  16. Yeah, I agree that it highlights a character flaw. I think she is shown this way to contrast her from Sheryl. Ranka is less mature and is from more humble means, while Sheryl is more put together, wealthy, and has an assistant to help her. It makes her success story all that more compelling.
  17. Agreed, I think this sequence is just a more detail shot of what happens during a fold. That is, she is traveling through another dimension during the fold process.
  18. Thanks, it seems I didn't have the proper codec nor was I using the proper player. Now I can watch in peace instead of frustration.
  19. I'm not sure if I am using the correct viewer to view some of these files. The subtitles are always overlapping when there is dialog and song lyrics occurring at the same time. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
  20. Well, I seemed to have gotten into the game a little late. I should have checked here first for the latest scoop. (Scoopeda!) I saw the first issue on ebay and judging from the pics they had of what was inside I decided to buy it thinking it was some sort of single issue magazine special about Macross. It was $9.99US, but the SAL shipping was only $6.00US. So, in the end I suppose it wasn't to terrible. Today I ordering the binder and issues 2 and 3 from HMV with the option to hold shipment until the entire order is complete. Shipping all together is $13.92US, Total cost to me for all 3 items is $41.87US OUCH! I am now curious to know if they will charge my credit card right now or wait until time of shipment to accurately charge the shipping cost. I am thinking it would be better to pre-order future issues several at a time and use the hold option to combine the shipping. I'm still not sure what my cheapest option is: Buy it for cover price but high shipping from HMV (what's the shipping cost for single issue by itself I wonder?) or Buy them all off of ebay for higher cover, but lower/slower shipping. Any advice would be appreciated.
  21. Hey, thanks a bunch for the info. I had no idea about the Perfect Guide. Gunbuster is one of my favorites, but it's hard to find good art and sketch books in the US. I thought I missed the boat since it seemed all the books were published a long time ago when it was first released. I was still a kid at the time, so I never had enough money to buy anything. On top of that there wasn't the internet at that time to find such things in the first place. I would be lucky to find anything at a comic shop or via mail order. If I ever see the General Products book I will jump all over it. Thanks again.
  22. If loving Macross to the point of goosebumps is wrong I don't wanna be right!
  23. I am interested in books that have content for Gunbuster. The cover of the Studio Nue Entertainment Bible part 2 has some ships that resemble the Exelion and/or the Eltreum from Gunbuster. However, I thought that Gainax did Gunbuster not Studio Nue. Is the cover of part 2 depicting something else, and I have mistaken it for Gunbuster? Am I missing some key info to make sense of it? From what I read Part 1 contains: Macross Orguss Gunhed... What else does Parts 1 and 2 contain besides Macross? http://macrossworld.com/mwf/style_images/m.../attach_add.png
  24. Keep in mind Asian clothing sizes will seem to run small for Americans. I would recommend going at least 1 or 2 sizes up. If you wear a Medium in a US T-Shirt, I would go with a L or XL. I wouldn't mind a "Yuk, De Culture!" if they made one. LOL! Actually, it's pretty easy to have a T-shirt made with any picture. I wonder if I should try to make a custom shirt someday with whatever Macross logo or artwork I want.
  25. They are getting harder and harder to find. I wish they would put out a re-print. The only one I was able to get didn't have the film sample. The poster is pretty cool. I had it framed; although, the the poster came folded obviously. There are still crease marks. Are they any tricks I could do to get rid of them or minimize them. It is quite expensive, so I would honestly recommend it only for a die hard fan who has to have it. I personally enjoy collecting the books related to Macross as much as the toys. If you just want to have a cool book of sketches and technical type drawings I recommend picking up a Kawamori Design Works book brand new for around $30 online. There are also other art books and "entertainment bibles" floating around quite cheap if you like technical type sketches, etc. A lot of the books tend to repeat themselves regarding content, so you wouldn't necessarily be missing out on so much by not having the Gold Book. The Gold Book is a good example of not hesitating to get something that you like. At least for books, a lot of this stuff comes around only once or twice. It's not like in the US were books are printed year after year. If you see a newer sketch or art book come out don't hesitate to get it.
