  1. Each plane has its pros and cons. But i think the YF-22 looks the best. I don't suppose I can order that with conventional controls?
  2. THanks for all your replies on taht topic. I guess I'm an advid model kit builder but I'm not a very good painter hence i always try to opt for the kits that require the least amount of paint or no paint to look good. That's why Gunpla is more me, isn't totally accurate but at least there is enough paint and with some black-line marker it can look really good. I've never built a Hasegawa kit before so i had no idea how much pre-paint it had etc.
  3. So the question is, if Ozama uses the reaction bomb/missile within the city, wouldn't that just irradiate the entire city with nuclear radiation and hence make it unlivable within the city?
  4. Speaking of Hasegawa kits, does anyone know if their kit of VF-0s with reactive armour is any good? I'm tempted to buy it but I've also read that Hasegawa kits aren't the greatest quality or easiest to assemble. I've been building Bandai Gundam kits for so long that I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. Anyone have any advice?
  5. I'm also interested in seeing what Bandai can do. Honestly when the VF-19 and VF-17 came out in 1994 for M7, I was thrilled to have them. Sure they weren't totally show accurate but at least you could easily transform them and toy around with them. When Yamato came out with their stuff, I hopped on teh bandwagon but was sorely disappointed because their transformations were somewhat complex and the quality jsut wasn't there. I had a VF-11B and the very first day as I was toying around tryin to transform it, the leg jsut cracked at the joint and that was it. The YF-21 didn't do much better either, I'm always so afraid I'll break it and the snapping into place for different parts just makes it look like it is going to break. I had to buy another YF-21 as insurance in case it broke. Bandai can do a very good job, they just need to apply their skills. While Macross has always been 2nd fiddle to Gundam in the old days, right now is a new world. The youngsters of today will decide whether Macross sinks or swims. If they like it, I am sure the toy companies will put corresponding effort into it. In any case, here's hoping for some toys soon. I don't want to wait that long. I'd like it corresponding with the show, capitalize on the hype.
  6. Hi everyone, About the artificial gravity on the colony ship jsut as Sheryl stepped on board (the boob scene). It said the gravity was being brought to 0.7g. But wouldn't that be too low for gravity? Isn't earth normal gravity 1g? If the colony was running only on 0.7g that would cause all sorts of weird problems for the colonists. i.e. body mass etc all get affected, joints dislocation etc?
  7. DOes anyone have a clip for the VF-9 transformation that has been mentioned a few times in the thread? In fact I don't even recall ever seeing a VF-9 in action. Anyone have some hi res pictures of it? Thanks
  8. Yup I agree with this comment here. In the real world the F117 was actually first designed and flown before the B2 bomber. Somewhere in the 80s was the first usage of the F117. I think when M7 came out, at the time the F117 did indeed have the most recognizable "Ahh that's a stealth fighter" shape. However that shape is not exactly the best for an airplane or aerodynamic. I once read that if the fly-by-wire was off and you lost electronics, the F117 basically flew like a ton of bricks.
  9. I'd certainly love to see a "GBP-1s" version of armour for the VF25. Hope it comes out in toy form, something playable.
  10. I've only seen 1 pic so far which is that newtype scan but it aint that much fan service and Ranka Lee looks way way too young. Is it just me or does Aruot Satome look like a girl?
  11. Whew finally managed to finish reading this entire thread. You guys sure have a lot of interesting news. Personally I found if very odd teh first tim the Valks transformed. It looked like it was splitting apart into separate parts unless you look really closely at the rails. I can't quite see the VF-17 you guys keep talking of. the VF-17 is the one Gamlin flew in M7 yes? The one that looks lik a stealth F-117 fighter? I'd appreciate it if anyone had a decent pic of the VF-17 in MF or a VF-171. As for toys, Yamato toys have proven to be highly detailed and accurate but their stuff blows when it comes to durability and playability. And I have a VF-11 minus 1 leg to prove it along with a VF-1A. Their stuff just doesn't handle well if you transform it a few times. That's where I think Bandai has a leg up, however it is also true that the M7 Valks look cruddy comparatively speaking. All I can say is whoever gets the license, I hope can produce something that's highly detailed but yet durable.
  12. Mr March, what's your website again. I know you had mentioned in much earlier in teh forum but i can't find it anymore. thanks
