That is even smaller than the main carriers at that era (Guantanamo ^400 m, Uraga ~550 m). I think the Quarter is 1/4th size of a New Macross class (1,500 m), so the Quarter should be around 400 m). Kinda small I think, I wish it was bigger, maybe around 500m-800m would do. Judging from the deck shot from ep.6 I think the front "carrier" arm itself is around 300 m.

First, welcome to MW VM Tech. DYRL is actually a movie set in Macross Universe (they even make a DYRL remake in Mac 7). So I can say the cast in DYRL is actors (not the real one since they probably are having fun with a blackhole at that moment). I fact, DYRL triggers many Minmay fans (like Basara) to introduce singing as a culture shock to stop a war/fighting. One song to end the war, this is portrayed clearly in one of Mac 7 movie: The Galaxy is Calling me.

I believe Miyatake did the design for ships and destroid in Macross series. SK only deals with the valk mechanics.

The twin hull ships is similiar to the Human Alliance warship from Heroic Age. I quess those ships are inspired by Zentraedi design. Maybe the Galaxy Fleet is consist of an entirely new lines of ships since their home port is Eden. Macross type ships and it escort ships are probably unique to Earth shipyards (aka Factory satellite). Deculture, these new ships/mecha are driving me nuts, I need more info about it. For a TV series I think the animation quality is acceptable, what matter most to me is the story (and the mecha action). If you guys want them to improve the animation quality, then support them by buying the DVDs and CD
