This is not Gundam boy, not Gundam. The main story in Macross is always the drama and love triangle, the VF, war and aliens are just the spice to heat up the situation. Not really (point to Black Selena from Nadesico) . VF with melee weapon is good, we got gunpod bayonet, pinpoint barrier punch, and now a progressive knife...I mean PPB knife. As I recall, one of the destroid even have a baton for close combat. I bet the Konig monster will rock in close combat since it lack of CIWS.

I like the modular transport ship on epi.9. Somehow this ship manage to survive the Vajra. The VF-171 mainly use the side cannon instead of the gunpod, probably the gunpod is stored in the legs like VF-17.

Since Alto blew up one of the VF-27 Purple 1 leg, he must return to galaxy for repair, unless he got some spare part smuggled into Frontier, or he cannibalized the other VF-27 for spare part like what Heero did to his Gundam I want VF-27 toy
