Just received a set of 1/48 Super/Strike parts from misterryno and wanted to thank him for the excellent transaction! He kept me up to date on the delivery of the parts with delivery info and messages and all items were packed very well and received very quickly! Thanks again, Ryan!
And a HUGE THANKS to you too mate for a very speedy payment and great communication. THANKS!!!

Maui wowie! Got my VF-1A with Super Strike Parts today and I see what all the hype has been about! This this is smooth as butter! Beautifully sculpted! Just plain goregous! Can't wait to get home and tinker with it!

Shin,
THANKS ALOT FOR THAT!!! I will be fixing mine or maybe just wait for my second one to fix it. THANKS!!!
-
too sleepy to do it properly, but here's a quickie battroid-shot:
DYRL-pose!!!
HELLS YEAH! AWESOME poses mate!!! THANKS for sharing them!
-
Wow! Those are very cool!
I do agree somewhat. I guess I'm just a big fan of teh fixed pose hands.

Okay, I'm not talking about towers, but when U.N. SPACY SDF-1 Macross and the Zentraedi 425th Bodol fleet have agreed to peace. Remember?
NICE!!! I did not remember. THANKS for that!
BTW...what figure is that in your avatar?

I guessed right then! I mainly thought it was because so far, the 1A with looser shoulders has had no reported breakages. Thanks for the diagram man! Therefore, it is in our best interested(1S owners), to find a way to get the shoulder armor off, and loosen the screws.
Too late for me .
Until I get my 2nd 1S. Now I know...and knowing is half of the intergalactic battle .

Now...George Sohn said on collectiondx's SDCC pod cast that the Robotech chunkies will be made depending on demand. Well....just showing the VF-1D will not drive up demand, showing that and the DYRL trio would have(Strike, ELINT, Super O).
I'm with you on this...of course...you should already know that. I am a lover of the Chunky.

While I think the MPC is a better toy than the first 1/60, the new 1/60 blows both away. The 1st 1/60 was an ambitious design but flawed. The new one is excellent, except for the shoulder hinge.
QFTW!!!

In a sense Yamato is brilliant.
In a sense you are brilliant for deducting how brilliant Yamato is.
-
so is this thread only for 1/60's then?
No....just lately that's all we wanna show off.
-
I think their pretty cool. They remind me of scaled up Yamato V.2 1/60 Hands.
-
Which Optimus Prime toy is this?
That's the Hasbro "Battle Damage" version of the MP-1EDIT----> My bad...shoulda looked to see if it had already been answered.
-
it's amazing how with time and technology things get better and better....I can't even fathom in 10 more years, what will the VF-1 toys look like... yeah, you can bet your ass that in 10 more years the we'll still be getting more VF-1's, hahahaha
......and they'll transform on their own.....
-
alrighty, then!
pls do bear in mind that my old 1/48 Hikky-1A is still somehow retaining it's ghetto-lined (#2 pencils ftw!) self so it kinda stands out a bit from the shots, while the 1/60 has yet to find any pencil near it.
so...
enjoy!
GREAT comparisons once again! THANKS!!!
-
Now, for a taste of things to come!
MORTALLL KOMBATTT!!!
Also....nice comparison chart mate!

Did they ever have the ad for the crappy boardgame Upwords in the US where you can clearly see MACROSS spelt across the board. (I personally doubt it was an accident). I am trying to find my copy of the ad to put on Youtube.
Taksraven
HEY!!! I own that game ...and it is crappy...

Looking at my 1/60 last night I was so, so tempted to just try and pop the arm off since the shoulder joint appears to be a simple ball/socket affair. I almost gave it a tug, and then I realized that my life is filled with ironies and I would probably break the shoulder hinge clean off while trying to snap the arm back into it's socket. Maybe I'll just brace the hinge and sit down for an hour twirling the arm in circles until it loosens up.
It would happen to you would'nt it...

Hey misterryno, Are the FP's a greeny green color or more a Luftwaffe Grey-green color? Kinda hard to tell by the pics....
I couldn't tell ya mate. I believe Toons owns one...but I do not yet.

Thanks. Actually since I gave it to him he has left it in battroid mode in a single pose on the corner of the coffee table in the living room and it is not to be touched. He plays with my 1/55 Cannon fodder constantly righti in front of this one and whenever I try to get near the red custom he yells at me not to touch it. It is part of his collection. So basically he has decided that it is a display piece. I have asked him if he wants me to transform it for him and I picked it up and he freaked out that I messed up his pose and that the blaster was in the wrong position. For now, no fear of further chipping. It is pretty ironic.
That is awesome that he wants a display piece. Equally awesome that he yelled at you. . Just kidding....or am I.

Not crazy about the color of the FPs but nice to see they got the skulls on them instead of the kite.
That is a HUGE plus with me. But I also dig the color more so than that of the 2001 reissue.
Yamato 1/60 VF-1A/D/J/S v2.0

Ummmmmm.....we are on topic.
So the VF-1S Hikaru will be out before the 1D? That's cool with me. The Strike Hikky is the one I was the most anyways. Besides of course the VE and VT. I have determined...with how popular the v.2 1/60 line is. Yamato will milk it. And we will all buy in to it.
