  1. Hikky's on my desk...

Enjoying a much needed break from work this week and finally got a chance to get the 1/60 VF-1A out and fully examine it...WOW!

This little mota-scoota is pretty neat! It has probably already been said, but if you're the type that likes to play with your Valks no worries with this one. Everything is tight and clickity and locks into place. Anywho, here's few pics of it along with the other Hikaru fighters with the exception of the v1 1/60 VF-1A. And yes, that's a busted up VF-1J with armor lying on my desk. Never let the cleaning lady near your toys.

    Awaiting payment from Molly Maid...

    OO

WOOT WOOT!!! Are you excited to finally get to play with the 1A? MORE PICS MORE POSES!!!!

Damn cleaning people. They don't care about what happens to peoples personals. <_<

  2. It sounds like I'm gonna need to get one of these... I'm totally tapped out right now collecting JP G1 TFs tho, haven't even gotten the new 21 yet... hopefully a 1A CF comes out, and I'll grab that. Wonder how long a new GBP takes...

I am uncertain myself when a 1A CF will come out. IIRC the 1/48 CF did not come out till the 2nd releases. Now a GBP....prob. shortly after the 1J Hikaru.

  3. : / well no word from LAF on shipping of the VF-1A...my stuff still says CC Pending....dammit, I'm getting antsy.

I looked at the page yesterday and it no longer says that "this item will be in stock...." on the bottom of the page. So I am thinking that they got their shipment in. Then again....if you have not gotten your payment request or payment taken out yet...maybe he has not gotten the shipment in yet.

  4. And I agree. The canopy itself is perfect on the 1/60. While the rest of the nose section is perfect on the 1/48. Personally, I feel the rest of the "body" of the 1/60 feels and reminds me a lot of a Hasegawa. The arms fit perfect, and dont hang down like the 1/48.

But I still love them regardless. Either purchase you can't go wrong, IMO. And I will continue to purchase the 1/60's. I was thinking about maybe finding 2 more of the 1A's to simply repaint into a Max and Kakizaki, but right now I don't feel like spending another 300 to obtain them. I'm kind of more in a model building mood. Or maybe picking up a 0S/0A and doing a "Fighters of Roy" tribute.

    We'll see.

That's one of my favorite things about the v.2 1/60...how the arms are held up in fighter mode. You can do that with a 1/48....just not as well and it is harder to perform. I also thought about getting a couple of 1As to repaint but I believe that they will come out with Max and Kakizaki versions. I will be dropping the extra dough for sure if they do come out with them. I'd like to see the 0S/0A "Fighters of Roy" tribute....that would be damn sweet....make sure you take some pics!

  5. It makes about as good a firetruck as it does an axe.

    :o ...No you DIDN'T!?!.....

 .......unfortunately you are sooooooooo right. I was sitting here watching an episode of TFA and all of a sudden here comes good ol OP "rollin out" with what?!?....the back 2/3s of a fire truck.....I was like "WTF  ....they better come out with that as a figure" but did they?!? Nooooooooooo........ <_<

  6. I think the ultraviolent coating is based on the colors. Hikaru's has a reddish/violet/violent coating, while Focker has amber/yellowish coating. If Max's turns out to have blue coating then we have our answer.

That's quite the deduction Holmes. . Really though...I didn't think of it that way. Makes me wonder if that's how it was really meant to be. Makes me wonder....if you're secretly working for YAMATO! ARE YOU!?! ANSWER ME.......AREEEEE YOOOOUUUUUU!!!???!!!

  7. Hey all....just like the title says. The items I need are listed below...

Strike Cannon (I have a recast....I would like an original....CANNON ONLY)

Clip On Missiles (recast or original is fine. I prefer original)

Tiny Minmay (recast or original is fine. I prefer original)

PM me if you can help please. THANKS!

EDIT-----> I just realized I messed up the secondary title. Original only for the cannon.

  8. When you want to respond to more than one post, click the icon that looks like this . . p_mq_add.gif . . . for each post you want to quote. As you press them, they should turn red and look like this: p_mq_remove.gif

Then, go down to the bottom and click the t_reply.gif button.

At that point, you should have a reply window with each of the posts you selected already quoted.

See.....I tried that.....but the quotes that I selected did not appear in the window. I will try it again another time.

  9. Jesus..

    What is this Nazi Germany?

DO NOT POST MESSAGES! THIS MESSAGE BOARD IS FOR NOT FOR POSTING MESSAGES!!!

Half of my posts on this board and every other are short one liners, most of the time when I ask I question all I need is "YES" OR "NO"

I dont need to read a f'ing book in every post on every topic.. THATS ANNOYING.

I think most of this "mod" team needs a enema IMHO.

:lol::lol: QFTW!!! Sorry....but soooooo true. I will prob. get banned for this.....but it seems that they would have to ban all of us.

  10. Same if they were to go back and reshape the whole front nose section on the 1/60.

I totally agree with you here. With the 1/48 being the size it is....it's just too "flimsy" for me to mess with too much.

the ver 2 1/60 has big gaps on the legs and under the nosecone that bother me.

In which mode? I'm looking at my fighter mode but I am unsure of what you are saying.

Also, is it me, or is Yamato actually molding their 1/60 VF-1's in a greyish white? At first I thought mine was bone white, with a hint of yellow, then bright white, now, the more I look at it, it has a dimmer tint. If there really is a grey additive, then I am happy since this thing will not yellow! Plus..grey>white

While comparing my v.2 1/60 1-S Roy with my 1/55 1A Hikaru and my 1/55 1S Super Hikaru the V.2 1/60 is fo sho darker.....but the 1/55 1A I am going to have to say is "pure" or "bright" white. Not many companies made many valks that bright.

  11. Well, wouldn't you know, they showed up today. 21 days is a bit, but not bad considering how difficult the 1/48 waterslide decals are to come by. They were packed well and arrived in pristine condition too. I'd give him a shot!

    B))

    OO

I will agree with you there brother.......water slide decals are like snow in hell.

  12. ...and you were banned from this forum for how long? ;)

I think Mods who annonymously give members insulting titles fit the 'annoying guy' profile more than someone who's just a super-fan.

    Ooooooooo that's me!!! I'm a SUPER-FAN!!!

That being said, what is it that you guys like about the Chunkies because them being so stout?

    OO

In answer to your question brother.....my answer is closely matched by both Miriya and Shins....it's not that I don't enjoy a Yamato valk....it's just that a Chunky has a design that was created over 25 years ago....it looks fantastic still....and is to date the MOST durable valk out there. The V.2 1/60 is the first valk to even come close to matching the Chunky in durability. That is only one of many reasons I LOVE THE CHUNKY!

  13. misterryno,

DA isn't going to throw you out or anything, but it is annoying. Try to have more substance in your posts.. Otherwise you are the annoying guy, and you don't want to be that.

I'n not worried about him throwing me out or anything....that would be ludicrous. I will try to have more substance with my posts though. Duly noted. And if I am that annoying guy.....alot more people seem to like it then the ones who don't ^_^ .

  14. Off topic: I really think misterryno hasn't done anything that warrants a warning, save that he shows a lot of enthusiasm for something that we all care and love about. I do agree with eriku, miriya and macrossman that perhaps... the warning was given out unjustly. I really don't agree that his affirmative posts of "Wow neat!" or "QFT" are considered spamming because I've seen a LOT of people here do it in almost every toy or model thread and they're not issued any sort of warnings at all. If a public upset was given, perhaps a public apology is warranted as well?

Thank you for putting in your 2 cents. It is MUCH appreciated! If someone wants to apologize to me I will surely accept.

  15. This line is a reissue of the 2001 line which was a reissue of the 1984 (I think) line. The only difference between the 2001 line and this line for the 1J Hikaru is that this time around you will get a heatshield. And that makes getting the brand new one worth it. If you do not care about getting a heatshield then just get the 2001 release like in the eBay link.

EDIT---> too funny that Shin and I wrote pretty much the same thing at the same time. But obviously he is a faster typer. ^_^

JUST SO YOU KNOW I DID NOT MEAN TO REPLY I MEANT TO EDIT AND JUST NOW NOTICED THAT IT WAS A REPLY INSTEAD! SORRY!

  16. Can someone explain me what this series is about? Are they reissues or new molds made old style? And are they out yet? I'd like to get the Hikaru version... Is this the one I should be getting or?

  17. Modded my Blitzwing by sweeping the wings all the way forward, in turn breaking the soft plastic stoppers. Honestly there is no reason for those things to be there! Now Blitzwing can sweep wings all the way forward like on the F-14 Tomcat!

Now that is cool! I will have to try this when I get home.
