I was wondering what your definition of "full ripoff" is? Because if it fully copied from one of the themes melody-wise or arrangement-wise from the themes of PotC, I can't seem to find it. Perhaps you can point me which piece sounds so much like it? This is the closest piece I could find in PotC that resembles Big Boys (by the way, it's by Klaus Badelt, not Hans Zimmer): http://www.imeem.com/anhkiet29/music/03WZI..._and_elizabeth/ Big Boys has been changed enough to not be a plagiarism, so I don't know why it would be a "full ripoff". It's just an oh-so familiar and mainstream theme that Kanno decided to be influenced from (unlike in other soundtracks where she really copied both melody and arrangement). ...I almost forgot that there was a single coming up in two days! (Cause I didn't buy it, I'm buying only full albums )

Those really are just your guesses to discredit what Sheryl knows. She has worked with Ranzo Saotome in judging the contestants of Miss Macross! "Now let's introduce our nights' judges, here we have the Glactic Fairy Sheryl Nome! And popular kabuki actor Ranzo Saotome!" While it's possible that she had Alto looked up by Grace, the virtue here is that she didn't poke him around with it, and didn't spread it around because she respects his feelings about the issue. How she knew about Alto's past isn't significant - it's how she handled it.

The translation said that it was "sang for someone", not "written for someone" that's why I thought it could have been him (aside from "actor/actress", but come to think of it, Alto is no longer an actor by that time and she wouldn't refer to him as such). The girl singer does seem like the right one. But... I suppose we shouldn't bother too much about it just like the "Galaxy Network people" who were trying to figure it out (it looks like they're playing with us)

Actually, Sheryl knew about Alto's family because she knows Ranzo Saotome is a popular actor. When he was called "Princess" in school, I think she put two and two together, and since Alto's reaction to being called "Princess" seemed adverse, she didn't bother him with it anymore. I remember in one interview that Kanno was somewhat describing the directors she has worked with, and she said that Tomino was like the director waving her off and saying, "Do whatever you want." This is in contrast with Bebop's director Shinichiro Watanabe who really knows what he wants and somewhat argues with her when she gives something that's very different (although he admits that sometimes, it's better than his original idea). Funny though that Brain Powerd and Turn-A Gundam are great OSTs o__O

About the Klan Klan blog, I don't want to rain on the parade, but who said that it's official? I have a strong hunch that a fan made that. Just look at the blog entry. "Hi, Klan Klan here. I am Mikhail's girlfriend." AND worst of all, at the bottom of the post... GOOGLE ADVERTISEMENTS?! The only official ones are Ranka's and Sheryl's, as displayed in MacrossF.com I suppose, as a preventive measure, the staff of Macross F reserved the Alto blog just in case a fan decides to "make" his blog. About Sheryl, I don't think she was sneaky, I even think it's just clever of her. She remembered Alto's dream of wanting to fly in an endless sky, you have a girl who listens and remembers, my dears. The moment she remembered that Gallia had an atmosphere, she immediately linked it to Alto! If there was anyone who made a wrong move, I think it's partly Alto. He should have called. Perhaps he knew that Ranka has a crush on him and didn't want to be straightforward, so he sent someone else. But he should have spared her from going to her desired meeting place and seeing no Alto. That would have at least been kind. As for the gifts, if I were Alto, I would have chosen Sheryl's also. It was a chance of a lifetime. Besides, it's his birthday, I suppose he'd rather fly, than go to someone else's designated meeting place, or go to his father who doesn't want him to be happy. I think Ranka took it very well, and that's why my heart goes to her also.

I actually think that "Power of Light" from Brain Powerd is way better than any of the orchestral stuff in Macross F OST1... and the vocals in Arjuna or Ghost in the Shell:SAC are better than those in this OST hands down. Thing is, it may not her best, but it's definitely one of the better ones. Plus, I think what matters is that the OST fits the animation, and in this case, I think it does so very well.

I never thought that Alto was selfish, I mean, do you want to be an actor just because your parents were actors, or do you want to fly for fun and consequently defend people? That he considers flying as "fun" is just a plus, "Who wouldn't want to go to war for fun?!" he said. I thought it was funny for him to think so, but it shows a lot about his character. About the animation quality - The credits say that the animation is also partly outsourced, but the quality is okay in my opinion. I wonder if the one-week break had something to do with the quality.

Okay, here goes. This is my favorite Alto cosplayer for now. I'm a girl, and so far, most of those who portrayed Alto were females looking like cross-dressers (which I find unattractive), but this person (male or female I'm not sure) I actually find quite attractive. He's bordering on pretty/handsome, and doesn't do the "ooh, I'm so cute in an Alto costume, I'll tilt my head to the side like this!" pose. The wig also has a nice shape and color, costume doesn't look rushed. And now, the cutest Ranka that I've seen so far. She's spot-on. Wrong boots, but never mind those. And Sheryl, Sheryl, Sheryl... <3

From the interviews, it's really Robin being teased as an alien, but the "weird Ed" thing in Bebop is given to Kanno directly (Ed was also called an alien once in Bebop). That means both Robin and Kanno have been teased as aliens before... and that only means... ...That they're both aliens

The car she rode in is a Transformer. I do get both Alto's and Sheryl's views of each other on that scene. Alto saw someone running away when there was something wrong going on (he didn't know what it was, but his reaction was understandable). Sheryl saw someone who doesn't know what's happening shout at her and call her things. They both reacted the way I would, if I were in their positions. But for Alto, my advice would be, know first before accusing, for Sheryl, learn a little more tact / kindness in speech. They both acted like immature kids in that situation.
