That desert scheme 0D is awesome!
Also great stickering Derex!
-
Im actually surprised they did the Percival before these, I thought for sure they'd be next. I mean they actually had screen time in the show!
Maybe the original 27 didnt sell great?

Slightly separate note, but having the VF-0D prompted me to rewatch the series and wow had I forgotten what a total piece of crap the ending of that series was. It brought back all the feelings of WTF that I had managed to suppress over the last 10 years.
Anyway, the toy is cool!
I always liked the series, including the ending.

Ok, some crappy pics, but here you go:
-
...OK, i just finished. I'll try and grab some pics soon.
At the risk of beginning the panic or whatnot, the gun arm on my 0D was very very loose the last day or so. I tightened it again with a screwdriver to the inner screw, but I'm more nervous about that swivel joint than i was before. SOmething to keep an eye on. -
so how you going with it anyways? any progress pics yet? itching to see it!
Almost. Finding the time is hard
-
It's really not.

Its funny, I go back and forth on tampo. i like it when it's there, but I also get a lot of pleasure from stickering the mechs myself.
That said having to scrounge stickers together is annoying.
-
The one on the wing is a little larger than i'd have used, but otherwise very nice looking Spanner! She's fully transformable if you want to shift her to Battroid.

You know, I can understand leaving off some markings on CF versions, and allowing people to choose their own.
But this is Shin's, not a CF. The pilots are clearly Shin and Edgar, and it's the only blue VF-0D ever seen. It's not generic, it's one specific valk. It's number 305, and it's part of the UN *Spacy* fleet. Those markings should be tampo'd on. (and it's even worse to not even include modex numbers AT ALL, not even as stickers)
Yeah t bugged me a fair bit. The rest of the sheet is fine, has most what you need (Though i grabbed some white stickers for the blue areas) but not including the 305 stickers is pretty lame.

Im finished Panel Lining, and am Nearly done with stickers. I'm disappointed by how many sticker options aren't there, which is why I have had to do some scrounging through older sheets. no Nosecone numbers in the right size or colour is my main annoyance. i think i have scrounged those together though. But no ship names is also a bummer. I wanted to put USS ASUKA or ASUKA on the plane, but I must have used all mine up Hence my request for stickers if anyone has em.
-
Hey does anyone who doesn't sticker their Valks up have any Sticker sheets from the older 0S or A? There are some stickers on those I'd like to add to my 0D, I'll pay a fair price of course.
-
See, thats the info I was looking for. Thanks
-
oooo, that DOES look good!
-
You know I just realised that there are several stickers missing that should be included. Right off the bat there are no nose numbers in one sheet, only pieces to make em up. also there are some vertical stripes on the tail missing.
Good thing I still have my old Zero sheets...

We know what the VF-0A/S carries and uses. If anything, the VF-0D has an even greater variety that it can use, being a two-seat delta-winged variant. The 0D can surely use everything the 0A can, if not more
Question for anybody who knows---is there any canon line-art etc, showing the VF-0D's hardpoints? Knowing Kawamori's like of the F-16XL, and the XL's reason for existence/hardpoint design--the 0D should likely "officially" actually have many many hardpoints, far more than Arcadia put on.
FYI, the F-16XL has no less than 27 hardpoints, compared to a normal F-16's 9 hardpoints. Cuz Delta wings allow for front-to-back loading:
For doubling the wing's size, the 0D should certainly gain more than just 1 hardpoint per wing vs the 0A/S.
Oh yeah, I agree and i think she's light on missiles as well, I just wondered what was screen accurate. I mean earlier you were commeting on how the 19 came with a tonne that weren't, so I was going for a comparison
-
Thats a phenomenal deal! Well done! That Hikaru 1S is one of my main regrets; i should have grabbed it at the time!
-
What missiles does it use on screen? The only time I dimly remember it being armed up is when it lands on the beach when escorting the helicopter in episode... 3?
-
I thought I saw 3 hard points per wing. Not enough ordnance included to fill it up?
No, which I thought was odd as well. When i get a chance I'm going to dig out some of the old VF-0 missiles and try those.

ok here are some pics! it has been brush painted on but I really like that as it gives it a real "out in the field" weathered look!
Along with his other Skull repaints that we've seen already, Scream Man is pretty good at this!
Im not keeping this 25 for myself though.. this is going to my son.
Sorry i didn't see this and all the replies to the plane from before.
So this was a 25F that I had that had the peg in the wingroot break when i put the tornado armor on it. So i bought a fresh 25F and thats what on my display now. BUT, I had this lying around so I figured id see how painting it works.
Spanner is being very sweet, i just gave it to him since it was more or less a mistake. The black head was because I kept stuffing up trying to match the pattern already there. i whitepainted out the SMS on the wing, but the longterm plan was to ginish whiting out the SMS markings and then adding NUNS kites and Skull logos. Never got aroun to finishing, but Spanner liked it as is so its all his now.
Maybe I'll take a crack at another one if the dollar comes back up and they get cheaper again.

i'd be OK with sydney sellers getting Macross stuff in
-
I tell ya panel liners, the lines are shallow, its going to be hard to do.

pilot comparison:
-
Has anyone posted what all it comes with? Like stand adapters, how many of each missile, etc?
I haven't but I'll grab a pic later. To list:
2 x Pilots
2 x Missile pods
2 x missiles (That go at the ends of the wings)
Engine Covers
Gunpod
2 x Piot tubes (i assume a spare in case you break one.
3 adapter pieces, one for each mode. I never pay CLOSE attention to these, but they feel different to older ones. Thicker and heavier.

Other than the decal sheet i would agree with all these I was a bit surprised there was less detail in the pilots too, but i guess the 19's a much more popular plane.
