    The YF-19 showed up yesterday. I just put it in there for scale. The Great Mazinger is HUGE!!!! Holy smokes, that box is massive (he's 15" tall I think). I sure do feel like I got my money's worth here!

    Here is my conspiracy theory for the day. Bandai's business practices don't make a ton of sense. They short produce just about everything and arguable give more margin to stores/scalpers than they get themselves. They could easily open ordering. Leave it open until orders taper down (a week or two) then close ordering, make the run, and then ship them. They would arguably make more unit sales, they could charge more, etc. And, they could still retain exclusivity. This is where the conspiracy comes in. The shot callers at Bandai could be getting kick backs from scalpers/retailers. Greed is a great explanation for most things. Next is stupidity.

    I agree, it's a bit much. Some of it's the angle of the shot. Some of it is that there is about 1mm between the tail fins and the "back". I can force it down, but it just pops up.

    I just un-boxed the 1/60 and 1/48 GBP. You won't hear me say this much because I'm a 1/48 kinda guy. But that 1/48 SUCKS compared to the 1/60. It's supper fiddly. Doesn't want to stay peggd in. And you can't really pose it the ROM is so bad.

    I worked for a guy that had six 356's many moons ago.....when I worked for people. Four of them were beautiful and two were projects. He was 6'4" tall and about 280#. Man, he must have loved those cars!

    I prefer Roy. But it's by such a tiny margin it's inconsequential. If I had to pick between the two I would go Roy. But, I generally go both.

    I saw this guy and had to have it! They're really not too expensive used. And you really can't hurt the thing. I can't remember what I picked it up for (I could look it up I suppose), it was super reasonable. If Bandai made it we would have to hope we could get it at 3:00am, miss our chance, then pay $600 for it! I just looked it up. I got him for $124. It's a NECA Jungle Predator 1/4 scale.
