  1. Welcome to the club brother.........I have five in transit too. I think they're currently on a satellite orbiting the Earth.
  2. That room! I'm playing checkers with 14 missing pieces. You're playing 4D chess. Got a close up pic of that I'm guessing big Gundam guy on the LH side of the pic? That looks like it could really be something. Do you do anything for dust control in your toy room/rooms? It's going to be a ways off because I'm not going to have time to build a hose for 3-4yrs. But my next house is going to be my forever home (that's code for I'm dying in it because I don't want to move again). I've been planning out the design in my head and a toy room is going to be a thing. I haven't put much thought into how to execute but I'm thinking that some sort of dust/atmosphere control wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe an air lock.............
  3. Yeah, Hikaru was a little bit more badass for sure. And Minmay wasn't nearly ass annoying.
  4. I would absolutely be in for TV M&M's with FP's.
  5. Just un-boxed this dude. And for perspective un=boxed SOC Lion Voltron and did the thigh conversion to it. The Sazabi isn't much for playing or posing. Playing because it's not tight. Posing mostly because it's so beefy that there isn't much you're going to do with it anyway. But also because it's not exactly tight. I'll use a term that my crew chief coined when I was racing. It's looks/finish are 50/50. In the case of motorcycles it meant all they had to do was look good from 50ft at 50mph. This has the same kind of look to it. From a few feet away and you're not 100% focused on it it's cool looking. Get up close and it doesn't have any "luster" and it doesn't scream quality. If you want to put it on a shelf and leave it alone, it's not a bad toy. It's certainly cool looking. It's big and it's imposing. It has a lot of "things" going on. But if you're looking for something that is going to look and feel high quality, this isn't it. I'd say it's on par with my Fix Figuration Gold Unicorn. I'm not terribly impresses. Do I regret getting it? Absolutely not. Would I buy it all over again? Probably. but I just put my toys on shelves and don't mess with them much. The SOC Voltron that I un-boxed after this dude probably didn't help this review much. If the Voltron is a 10 (it kinda is, especially with the longer thighs), the Sazabi is a 6 or 7 depending on what you want out of a toy. I don't think @Kuma Style will like this much.
  6. But a little too big so the cockpit canopy won't quite close all the way.
  7. Got this in today. Now the Bandai DX Jetfire custom project can get started. Super excited! And it was kind of fun to pull my #1 favorite Transformer and #2 favorite toy (#1 was the Gakken Ride Armor/Cyclone). out of the box. I was almost 12yrs old again for a second there.
  8. I recently saw a pic of a guy who too two Detolf's and put them together to make one that has a internal width twice as wide. He cut the wood in the base/header down to where the front/rear glass butted up against each other. Removed the inner glass (divider) and then screwed the base/headers together (so you couldn't see it). It looked pretty darn good and really opened up the shelves so bigger objects would fit in there. He even re-used the shelves. If you wanted to go one step further you can get glass cut that would span the entire width of not much $$$. It will take some work. But there are no glass display cases with that sort of volume anywhere for $120 (price of two Detolf's).
  9. Good advice. I looked at it last night and asked myself if A, did I want to take the time. And B, how long until they peel off? I think I'm going to get some skull water slides for the boosters and leave the rest nekkid.
  10. I'm super stoked about this one! I finally watched DYRL the other day too. It's been a pretty good Macross few days! Yep, you NEED one. Good eye!
  11. I just think of it as a thing that does a thing and left it at that. Someone smarter than me will figure it out someday, and I'll draft off them.
  12. People that don't collect toys would say we're all mind boggingly idiotic for buying toys at any price. It's all about perspective.
  13. I was suggesting that Chinese "scalpers" were buying them from the Chineese production facilities thus being outside of the Bandai loop. I doubt very many Japanese people have an inside track to Chinese corruption. I have taken the tack of the board and refer to these people as scalpers. But (and I'm probably about alienate a ton of people within this statement) I have no ill will toward them. They have found a way to buy low and sell high. It's Free Market Capitalism. You're either a Capitalist, or you're not. I don't think you get to choose what or what is not Free Market Capitalism based on how it effects you at the moment. I chose Capitalism. So I'm in even for the stuff that doesn't go my way. Now, when laws start getting broken is where I have an issue. I don't know if there is any of that going on. Just defining my own personal line in the sand.
  14. I don't think they care about us. They sell everything out every time.
  15. Hikaru has gotten enough love. It's Roy's turn.
  16. What is the upside for Bandai in these situations? If there is no upside for them they're not going to put the time, effort and money into it.
  17. Well if that's the only hurdle we can skip the steal underpants step completely!
  18. Ah, that makes sense on that side peg. I'll try the Autobot stickers that came. If they don't work out I have a set of foil backed ones in many different sizes that will work for sure. Thank you kind sir
  19. They probably don't want to increase production. I imagine that there is actually a LOT of unsold stock out there. It's just in the hands of the scalpers. How many units would be available if you went on AmazonJP, eBay, YahooJP Auctions, etc and added them all up. I'll bet it's a lot. The problem (for us, not Bandai) is keeping them out of scalpers hands. How you accomplish that I don't know. Just about everything you put in place there will be a work around for. And why would Bandai be motivated to put any time and money into solving it? They sell all their units before they're produced every single run and they at least have the appearance of never having a shelf warmer (they're warming scalper shelves). Bandai is getting everything they want. And as someone mentioned above those could be coming out of China pre Bandai. What says there aren't 10K extra units run that are sold directly to scalpers? How would Bandai even know without some sort of heavy duty audit? And that may not even be effective if the corruption goes high enough. It only takes one guy at the production facility to cook the books and Bandai would never know extra units have been produced. We need to track down one of these scalpers that are getting them pre Bandai (if they exist) and make a deal to buy units from them in bulk. Or better yet get them directly from the manufacturer as if we are a scalper. Who here speaks fluent Cantonese and has ties to the Chinese mob? How many units go to MW members at the end of the day really? Is it even 200? That doesn't seem like a massive undertaking. When in Rome and all that.
