question for beagles owners: is the beagle a more sturdy toy than the riobot?

Hey David. Finally I got the time on transforming Stick last night. And to answer your question, I have to say that the Beagle one is more sturdy and more fun to transfrom it. For its size it is really a toy. Whereas with the Sentinel one, I feel it’s more fragile. It felt that for its size, it was over-engineered compared to Beagle’s. While I was transforming Sentinel’s, I said to myself, would it be nice if this version was the 1/10th scale and the Beagle was the 1/12. Because with all its moving joints, details, the over-engineered transformation sequence along with the locking tabs and whatnot, Sentinel’s would look perfect in big scale. The simplicity of Beagle and its transformation sequence would really work best in 1/12.

But overall, it looks perfect. Small, but perfect. How I really wish that it was bigger. I’d gladly pay more for a 1/10 scale version of Sentinel’s. ^_^

i ordered a 2nd Rey at hlj but only got charged for one and in warehouse. the other order is still unfulfilled. i was sure it did not say one per customer and let you order an extra.

    hmm...

Same here, David. There were no limit as far as I can tell. I guess, they’re filling based on Order Numbers. So if the 2nd order we have is just recently, then I guess we just have to wait if they were going to get filled. If not, then I have to look somewhere.

Damn... went and checked and Rei's even out of stock from Sentinel direct.... guess that's a wrap.

That’s a good sign, yes? It means we will probably see an updated look on the rest? Perhaps?

Yea Amiami definitely improved their CS. In the beginning, when they started shipping internationally, they were amazing as in you got a defective item and they sent a new one and let you keep the old one amazing. They they turned to the dark side (guessing the previous policy was abused) and said go pound sand here is ¥200 yen for your troubles. Thats when I stopped using them but lately i had to go back to them just ever since HLJ treated me like a criminal once for a duplicate order. So far ive had two QC issues in the last two years that they have been helpful with. The latest one was with one of my Revoltech Evas that came with two right fists. It takes some time and patience but they make an effort to help you out.

Wow. I didn't know AmiAmi used to do that. That's nice of them before. But yeah, like I said earlier. They're better than NY's.

Link sends me to a robot spirits figure. Can’t find the strike on the site.

Yeah. It was mentioned in the Gundam Figure thread. It's either Sold Out or they just remove the item without any notifications.

You're thinking of wrestling :) I meant reality shows such as Survivor and Big Brother which were cool at first but then got tired quick.

Hahaha. But I was referring to what you mentioned. Though when I think about it now, they were more 'Set-up' than 'Scripted', right?

I wonder if they’ll have a flashback scene with Goliath in costume.

I hope they do since they added Michelle Pfeiffer in the cast playing Janet/Wasp. And I hope she’s just there for flashback reasons and not a dead character brought back from subatomic realm. Just sayin’.

I've watched it. Now I know I shouldn't doubt Disney+Marvel. While Ant-Man wasn't flashy, I really liked the parallel father-daughter relationships. It's not all mindless fun. But I'm still not over my Spider-Man fatigue so sorry Tom, not gonna be watching your movies anytime soon. (I think I also have Iron Man fatigue.)

To be honest, I’m also fatigue now to this all Marvel movie stuff. But yet, I still watch it. Hehehe. ^_^ Guess it’s nice to have a son and share this experience with him. ;)

I'm glad scripted TV is making a comeback. I remember early last decade it was dying and slowly being replaced by reality TV.

I thought Reality TV are also kind of scripted?

Does anyone know if NY will provide an exchange for products that are delivered with a damaged box of the actual figure? I just received my vf-31a from them but the actual box was punctured during shipment

You can try to email or chat them thru their online chat feature and ask about it. But since it’s Nippon-Yasan, I’m not going to put my hopes up.

I checked NY’s Terms & Conditions page. Not sure if that will fall on the Problems of Quality or Non-Conformity. Or the first part of Shipment and Delivery section.

The first two episodes are free on Youtube. Just finished the first episode and it was better than expected, keeping the episodes to a half hour long was a wise choice too. Not enough for me to sign up for Youtube Red but may get there soon the way Youtube it throwing out annoying ads on most videos I watch there.

I’ve watched the first two episodes and I liked it. Now I’m thinking if I should do that 30 day trial just to binge watch the rest of the 10 episodes. ^_^

I prefer 100% AmiAmi all the way! pretty much you have your figure 100% guaranteed if you have your order with them , super fast shipping and the packages are very well protected, they process the order pretty damn fast too, I  haven't had any issue with a single order so far and I have been buying some expensive stuff from them lately, last thing I order expecting to arrive next week is a Metal Build Leviathan.

for me AmiAmi is my number 1 store to buy my figures at  the moment, sorry if I'm praising them too much but they definitely deserve it  ;)

Not to rain down on your parade. But if you haven't encounter any problems with them yet, then you're one lucky guy. ;)

I agree with all the things you said. I've been using AmiAmi too ever since. But I had a run-in with their customer service and it's not as perfect as HLJ. But it's definitely better than NY's.

    No.

Dipping will result in too thick of a layer on both the outside and inside, not to mention paint buildup around the rectangular white tabs at the top of the visor. Also, model paint isn't particularly hard and if you tend to handle it carelessly, you can damage the finish and ruin your very expensive collector toy.

Some may suggest Future with food coloring, but I have old diecast and models that employed the Future method and the finish cracks after a dozen years or so.

Thanks Cap'n! Really appreciate it. ;)

Thanks for the info buddy !!

There is a method of clearcoating with future clearparts but, with future. I wouldn't dare to try that with acrylic paint, if you screw up, you might have a hard time fixing it.

No, I'm not. :p I just find it funny that you really need to bump. Besides, most of us go one page back just in case we miss something. Hahaha!

    Anyways, you're welcome. ;)

Visor Dipping is hit and miss. If you're paint isn't thin enough you'll get huge drops of paint forming at certain spots.

Gotcha! :good: I think it's better to ask than be sorry for doing it first. Hehehe.
