I am a bit surprised that so many here apparently haven't had hands-on experience with the 1/48 Yammies. I must be getting old.

I joined late in the Yamato game so I don't have a 1/48. And I couldn't afford it back in the day when it got released. ^_^

Yeah, that's the crux of the issue. From what I gather NY are scummy and the worst. I doubt there's a chance for a reissue of this figure, right?

I know NY doesn't have a good customer service and it has some bad practice on how they do business, but I'm not calling them the worst. They still trying to deliver people's DX VF-31A without asking for additional payment since we don't have evidence if they're getting those from the secondary market with price increase.

Wow Bandai is killing it with their Valk releases. I regret not acting fast enough to pick this beautoful bird up. I wonder if this DX 1/48 VF-1 is similar in size to Arcadia's 1/60 VF-0. Arcadia better step it up.

If Bandai's upcoming 1/48 VF-1J will share the same size as Yamato's old 1/48, then yes, it will be similar in size with Arcadia's 1/60 VF-0's.

Was wondering what's holding you back to reply in this thread :D

    Ain't this 1/48 VF-J a beauty??

I have one on preorder with AmiAmi.

I was just busy earlier here at work. And I saw that video during lunch break. Hehehe.

And yes, she's a beaut. I didn't regret ordering two. And I'm sure I'm going to order two if they announced Hikaru's Strike VF-1S or Super VF-1A. ;)

Anyone else notice that the center part of the back (the part that folds out to let the head rotate through) folds inwards so the backpack can fold flatter?

It's the little things that really show how much thought they put into this.

Wasn't that a feature of the Yamato that they copied as well?

I know the 1/60 Yamato/Arcadia VF-1 figures don't do that. I haven't actually transformed either of my Yamato 1/48s yet.

Yes, the Yamato 1/60 VF-1 v2, along with the current Arcadia 1/60 VF-1 releases does that. You have to push it inward passing the tabs on its sides.

From Jenius' Anymoon site showing VF-1 back panel. I already set it to play from that section so hit play. ;)

No Macross decoration on the inside

Yeah, saw it on Facebook so I posted a link earlier. Got me curious knowing that it's Chile so I asked. ;)

Would any japanese book shops carry this manga?  Or does it fall under the whole harmony gold mess?

I'm sure it will. But I doubt there's already a published version of the reboot one. I got my first 6 volumes from HLJ before.

Only saw it offered by SamuelDecal. Forgot the price but should be less than 200 before shipping.

    Steel Legend 1/100 MB Kshatriya

Show Z has two Kshatriya for PO. Both Free Shipping to the U.S.

    Steel Legend 1/100 Kshatriya for $259.99: https://showzstore.com/pre-order-steel-legend-1-100-sl-01-sl01-nz-666-kshatriya-gundam-unicorn-metal-build-style_p0923.html

    Metal Club 1/100 Kshatriya for $239.99: https://showzstore.com/pre-order-metal-club-mc-1-100-nz-666-kshatriya-mb-mb-style-gundam-unicorn_p0871.html

The photos posted above looks amazing. And I'm not sure if I'm ready to expand my MB collection outside Exia's, 00's, Strike, and Freedom. Though I already PO'ed the MB Zeta Gundam from ShowZ last night which I think I'm the last one who preordered it since it's now showing PO Sold Out.

BAck to the shipping cost, I am also relutant to buy the set because of the shipping cost. I have a suggestion. If Captain you got reliable friends in United States, you can first send the whole package to U.S., then this friend can send out set by set to overseas from U.S. on behalf of captain. United States's shipping cost (especially within the 52 states) is much more reasonable to me. Also, there are shipping companies in here Hong Kong which offfers very low shipping cost transfer goods from U.S. to H.K. I hope you consider it captain.

Right now, the only cheapest way to do is find someone near your area so you guys can do 'group buy'. And that's what most of us did here in the US when Captain released this.

The thing with what you mentioned is that, if a lot of people ordered, then I assumed what you suggest is kind of a practical way of doing it. However, that person should be a partner in his business. A middleman or some sort. But understand that if there's a middleman, it means he or she should have compensation for stocking, handling, and shipping everyone's order from the U.S. And Cap will definitely get his/her compensation out from the overall cost. Meaning the said item might cost more from what he offered. That's part of the business. So even if he did what you suggested, you only just saved a few bucks.

And besides, Cap's reputation here for his skills is enough for me to get it as is. So I have to say it's really worth it. Just my 2 cents on this matter. ;)

Also, if you're tight on the budget (like everyone else here including me), I think you can still go for those 1/15(?) Mospeada Ride Armor kits that comes with the saddle bags that cost around $20+/-. (At this point though, I'm not sure if Aoshima reissues are still widely available.)

The Perisoreus is back again at GMC for $135. It says 'In Stock' on the page but there's another available option for November restock.

I really hope Bandai does a Fire Valk. Loving the YF-19 ^^ Before that please come out with the YF-21 ~ Beefy legs ftw please

Hope Bandai copies these proportions for a DX YF-21. ^_^

Or they could just upscale and update their 'unfinished' VF Hi-Metal YF-21 design and turn it into a DX release. ;)
