  1. Yup, no box also on the 1J CF. It was on the Q&A part of the listing.

Q: Are there any scratches or chips in the tinted canopy? Also how is the quality of the Tampo printing? Finally, I didn't see the original box in the photos and would like to confirm that this is a loose item---Thanks!
A: There are NO scratches or chips on the tinted canopy. All the tampo markings look great. There is no box

  2. I feel you guys. I now have doubts too but I'm still excited to see this in person. I guess, if I were to play with it during Battroid mode, then I have to put the back bracket. But if I will just display in Battroid mode standing up, then I guess it's fine that the torso is resting in place above the canopy. It's still felt kinda a bad engineered toy regarding the torso/canopy part but atleast Bandai tried to fix their problem by adding the bracket. Assuming that IT IS neglected during designing process. Otherwise, if we got those valks without the brackets and figured out the problem afterwards then we will just starting to bad mouth Bandai once again. Hehehe. :D

I guess, the wait and see games starts... now. ;)

  3. Yup, he got his valk. But what he complains is it took so long for the purchased good to be delivered to him. Quoted that the item was 100% complete but was missing the sticker sheet. And the hassle of opening a case with Paypal just for the seller to ship the item. And no replies even from the seller on the updates or whereabout of the item after it was being purchased. So after experiencing those from fellow members here, even you get the item after more than 3-4 weeks or so, you can't blame them on how they think or how they express their feelings towards the seller.

As for Macrossfan00, if his reasons are true regarding why he's selling his collections, then my sympathies goes to him. Losing families or relatives is hard and feeling lost at times. But if this thing will really help him on moving the funeral or any other expenses forward then I guess it's better that he focus on it since a lot of members here are eager to get their purchased valks from him.

I even tried PM'ed him on his VF-25S Renewal since the price he put was better compared to the ones I found over Mandarake but I didn't get any reply. And after reading all those 'hate' comments on him, I felt glad that I didn't get to do business with him but felt bad too to what the other members who already paid their purchases only to get something what Skull One experienced.

Anyways, I'm not here to start any bad conversation, topic, or what, but rather trying to understand both parties of what really happened. Just my 2 cents.

  4. That's cool with me. :) Yes, it does have a Ferrari look to it. Funny you mention that, I played Forza a lot and I made skins for Lamborghini Aventador based on the Skull Squadron VF-25s. I was working on a skin for the Ferrari 599XX based on the VF-27, but I never finished it. :(

Nice. Can you show me a screen capture of the 599XX that you were working on? You got me curious. Hehehe. :)

  5. I'm confused, both my Alto and Michael pre-orders are on the same po. They want me to pay for Alto by the 19th. How much am I supposed to pay? Just for the Alto, or for the whole thing even though they won't split up the order.

Sad to say, you have to pay the full price for both orders. From NY's Pre-Orders page:

    http://www.nippon-yasan.com/content/10-precommandes

In the case of an order with several items in Preorders WITH RELEASE DIFFERENT RELEASE DATE, we will only ship when the last product is release. (Payment must be made in full at for the release of the first product.)

  6. Nope... they seem to have skipped a few where convenient, because the characters are drawn from specific time periods and they're flying what are roughly appropriate mecha from those points in their respective home storylines. The Macross M3 character mecha and VF-17 were apparently left out because Max, Milia, and Gamlin are from the late Macross 7 period, after which point all three are flying VF-22s.

Thanks Seto. Atleast I don't need to look forward or get too excited on the other valks now, hoping on unlocking them at first. Hehehe. Anyways, in fairness, I do like the game. Reminds me of the games I played via their PSP releases. But this time, I get to play it on a bigger screen. ;)

  7. Damn. That color looks so... luscious. Like if Ferrari made a Valkyrie.

    I think you're right.

Sorry Saburo for the color change. But it really looks like a Ferrari Valk, doesn't it? ^_^

  8. Thanks no3ljm! I would get that color scheme too. :D

I love this shot! It looks more bad-a$$ looking than Alto's Durandal. Makes me really want one now. Bandai please release Mei's custom color VF-27y and reissue Ozma's 25S and I will forgive you for the YF-30 Battroid support bracket. Hahaha!

Saburo, are you sure you don't put wax coat on your Frontier babies? They look so 'shiny'. So shiny it rivals Char's red mobile suits. Hehehe. ^_^

  9. Nice video. Thanks antibiotictab! :)

I'm just glad that it's still an option to keep the intakes still lock in place (traditional) when in enteres Gerwalk mode so it won't use the swiveling pelvic joint so much. I don't want that part to become very loose over time. And I don't need to use that Gerwalk support arm. Though I think we really need to use that other support arm for Battroid mode since I didn't see any locking tabs when the head part rests on the canopy area.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissapointed or what, since I know that the support parts should help the toy stays in place during those modes and makes it solid, but now I'm thinking those promo photos are kinda misleading for not showing the extra support braces at first. But I'm still glad for my P.O. ;)

Edit: And I agree with Mommar. Bandai should have somehow copy what Yamato did to the VF-4G canopy area and tweak a little so that they will not say they copy the whole mechanism 100%. But if they want us to be satisfied again, just reissue Ozma's 25 valk, ok.

  10. Yeah, I would pick up the white/purple scheme in an instant if it were an option. It's just so pretty. :)

    *snip texts*

True. Or if ever, a black and purple scheme looks bad-ass too for the VF-27y. And keep the 'alien-looking' canopy too. ;)

  11. So I got my first Detolf yesterday, just about managed to squeeze everything in/on.

    *snip some photos*

    Hope you like.

Great shots. Didn't know Ikea already re-released the 'white' Detolf. Thought it will be available by Aug/Sept. Anyways, love the VF-1J! So classic and clean looking. ;)

Also, I noticed that you didn't pushed back the arm to release the guns on the forearms. :D

  12. Great photography skills, Saburo! Now I want to have a VF-27 too. I know I told myself that I will just buy Red and Black stripe scheme. But if Bandai releases this variant... I might buy one. ;)

  13. Yes, one VF-1 is never gonna be enough. It's like they breed in display cases... or that's how I explain it to my good lady. :D

True. The VF-1's is like a mushroom. Or better yet, like 7-11 or McDonalds. They don't stop growing. ;)

LOL, it's to the point that I don't have to explain. It's expected that I will have new valks show up either a couple times a month or whenever a new release comes out. I love that my wife is so understanding.

Lucky you, Loop. ;) I'm sure everyone's wives will be like that, so understanding, as long that everyone also have unlimited funds. Hehehe. :) I wish that all the time so I don't need to explain why I keep and will keep on buying. Hahaha! :D

Just get any V2. There's no bad build to that with shapeways shoulder replacements.

Does the Arcadia releases still suffers from the bad shoulder syndrome? But it's true that all the replacement parts at Shapeways is superb. ;)
