  1. ... 2 years ago, my family's rented house catched fire. Back then I had this extreme liking for the two Gundam Astrays, Blue and Red(the only ones I like outta the SEED franchise) just because of it's Virtual-On-ish looks. They were downstairs tucked somewhere under the staircase, near a book case. I was out for prayers and a few things when I got a call from my bro that the house was on fire. The moment my aching legs got there, I was relieved my mom and nephew survived(the only ones there). My Astrays, however, were melted beyond recognition(fire didn't completely reach downstairs, but near enough). I was freakin' glad my mom and nephew survived, but was extremely upset that I lost half my portfolio and art equipment. The whole 2nd floor was completely destroyed due to short-circuitry in one of the fans in the master bedroom. And I end it here because I don't want to talk anymore about it. Seriously though, my family members and important documents will be the first ones to be saved if I just come back after prayers and not do anything else. But on topic, I'd probably save my 1/60 YF-19, PS2 and Revoltechs. ONLY if I still have time to. Lives first!
  2. Hmm, was unsure of where to put this, so I'll put here just in case. Mods, if you want to move this, that's ok with me. Was not willing to get another VF Revoltech for the cance-... er, gunpod, so I have Prime lend his rifle for Focker to go John Woo on everybody: Next comes some bit of hilarity: Caption it as you wish Geez, I might have to get a digital camera if I can't stop taking pics. It'll be better than my crappy L6 camera phone.
  3. Saw that several months back when looking at the guy's transformer costume website. If that was the released as part of the MP package, I'd buy Ultra Magnus on the spot... and when I have money. *sigh* BTW, http://robotkingdom.com/services/eshop/mai...P2P〈=us TF Classics 2 Pack of Ultra Magnus and Optimus Prime. I reserved it at a hobby store when I saw that(HUZZAAAH!!!). The 3rd pic ain't clear, But I check the front flap contents at the hobby store... and Prime's stats are accidently swapped with Magnus'. Damn Hasbro misprint. The back is correct though. Thank God I got a second chance of getting a Classics Prime. Classics Magnus, despite being naked... AGAIN, is a plus.
  4. Did some non-traditional Valk poses for Revoltech Focker: Terry Bogard ended up as Roy Focker's new drinking buddy and let him have a spin with his VF-1S: I participated in the 24 Hour Comics Day challenge, and guess who helped me with my comic: With the rest of the gang: That's all for today I guess...
  5. *sigh* might as well. More pics with the YF-19, this time with a new friend. Feel free to caption this. Oh, a couple of pics of the YF-19 and Bumblebee: I sorta have more, but from useless angles, so nah. Here ya go.
  6. Got the VF-1S. Verdict: God, I love that toy, despite the Revoltech joints being white at the shoulders. And the box itself shows it being gray. Sheesh. Still, love this guy.
  7. To tell you guys the truth, what I really want to see is some new features in an already tried-and-true-but-getting-a-bit-old gameplay. Or heck, even some new form of gameplay that might redefine how fighting games, whether it's 2D or 3D, are played. Just how Street Fighter 2 redefine the genre back in the '90s. And despite being a teaser, if they wanted to do 2D, they'd give the teaser a very edgy animated treatment. But since it's 3D(with a very painty and gritty look. I suspect the guys from the department formerly known as Clover are behind this), I guess they're gonna go that direction. Before you guys burn me, I like 2D. I still do... seriously. Guilty Gear still rocks my socks(even though that series is also making a 3D leap in Guilty Gear 2, but the guys behind it are giving it a whole new spin in terms of gameplay). But personally for Street Fighter 4, if they are planning something ambitious and so awesome, I'd rather they'd go this way. Hell, the teaser looked so damn awesome, I wouldn't mind. As expecting the same old, same old, look at the EX series. It's your typical SF2, with the gameplay that you're used to. But it didn't break any new grounds aside from making it 3D back then. So hence why I'd like a new spin-and-shout and shock-and-awe to the SF franchise. I still love the friendly responsiveness of SF2's controls over SNK's rigid gameplay (obviously meant for hardcore fighting game fans to master), but SNK had some titles that wouldn't make you do those crazy combos so hard that your fingers get crippled, such as Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Love that game . That's my 2 cents on this.
  8. Oh wow, the accessories... that would be awesome. He'd probably be THE male humanoid Revoltech that I'll buy just to complement Revoltech Revy (Not to much into Revoltech Dante). Don't forget the half-eaten snake for snake-eating goodness! ... Just hope they don't, for the love of God, decide to put in Naked Raiden from MGS2. That'll be subject to controversy. God damn, now I remember. Who wants to see Orbital Frames from Zone of the Enders in this line?
  9. Errgh, accidently pressed the reply button. Sorry about that. Might as well make use of this... Anyone here had any luck with the Dominator secret requirement?
  10. Lonely Soldier Boy: Eh. As long as it's not SEED*crosses fingers*, I'll tolerate it. But still can't see them doing Revoltech Gundams as they've already got figures(like Extended Mobile Suit in Action) that almost rival the posing prowess of Revoltech. To me, it feels like a waste of money doing them again. yellowlightman: I think the reason for the EVA whoring is because they seem to be the best figures to showcase their Revolver joints more than the others. That's just my theory, though. Another is that the Gundam is always in the limelight(hehehe, limelight whore ) far more than Evangelion, with it spawning spinoffs after spinoffs and what not. ruskiiVFaussie: Heheh, yep, Macross needed it anyway. More so than Gundam. Why do I still have this urge to scream Front Mission Revoltechs, when I know there's no chance that they'll make them because of the limited opportunities for posing? Damn, a man can only dream... EDIT: on second thought, I'll be happy if they release the Full Metal Panic mechs in this line if FM ones don't make it. Arbalest ehehehe....
  11. I sure hope they don't add any of the Gundam franchises to the Revoltech line(No offence to any Gundam fan here). They already have like a gazzilion posable figures dedicated to them. No need to add Revolver joints on them.
  12. Oh, I didn't know that. Are they posable though? Got no clue about the toys...
  13. Argh! Gundam DX in Vs. Free Mission is freaking annoying to get Ace Rank in. He loves using his Satellite Beam-o'-death of his. More often than Wing Gundam. I took longer taking that god-damn jerk down than I did the others. Not to mention when I wanna go melee or even just near him, he freaking 'teleports' all over the place like there's no tomorrow. Wing Gundam still hurt me, but still wasn't THAT frustrating to face, and still manage the Ace Rank. Manage to get Ace after several restarts and dodging of that bloody area attack beam. Infinite missile nukes of the YF-19 and hit-and-runs helps you alot. But dodge like hell when you see him readying that beam. Be warned, Valkyrie users. EDIT: Much apologies for the profanity. XD
  14. Hmm... Jubei(Ninja Scroll) vs. Haohmaru(Samurai Shodown). *puts them down on list next to combat-gear Motoko* Yep, Trigun should be next. Hell, they did that Peacemaker figure, so why not the main series?
  15. The lips on the Big O looks a bit thick. Other than that, it looks good. *Would like to see anyone post pics of Front Mission wanzers.* I heard of Zenith toys based on Front Mission 3 being released long ago. Does anyone have those things?
  16. Eeeeh. But... but... what about the accessories that comes with the combat gear? I'm not sure I'd be satisfied with swimsuit Motoko in the long run. Ok, maybe they'd have two or three versions of her in the market. Third will be in her military uniform. Short skirt
  17. Err, didn't mean to imply that. I apologize. ^^;; Thanks for the tip.
  18. The fact that the bozos that does this do it without fear of being recognized. I just enjoy the game or playing with my brand new Valkyrie without caring what these issue-ridden idiots say. Very well said Godzilla. On Halo 3: The graphics does look better than the previous games, but I have to check it out next time before I judge it.
  19. Hey, nice fix! Never seen a magnet being used for toy repairs before. On the subject of Motoko, I rather hope she comes in her combat gear instead of her *ahem* everyday attire. Walking around in the office in a swimsuit (in the first season anyway) seems a bit overdone. ^.^;;
  20. He never bother, though, to translate the other score ranks aside from Ace rank. Just call them "Crap ranks" lol. I've been checking some of his FAQs aside from ACE 3 ones. He's quite the colorful fellow, indeed. About that Japanese site, did you try translating it via Babelfish or Google translate? I've tried it several times but I keep getting errors. EDIT: Damn, I have 9 ranks to go till I get Grave Ark.
  21. Unit list FAQ(with images!) by the same guy who did the menu translation FAQ (refer to post above). Be warned though, same of the unit names he translated is sorta funny: http://faqs.ign.com/articles/822/822879p1.html Check it out to see what to expect.
  22. Hey, I found a translation FAQ(with image guides)! Maybe this will help you a bit more, Phoenix: http://faqs.ign.com/articles/822/822471p1.html I've been checking around other sites, and it looks like mission 12A does not exist. I guess the reason why they call it 12B is either an error or they want to tell you 12B is important. But it feels like an error to me. EDIT: Do I really need to buy Hikaru and Max's VF-1Ss or could I get them via upgrading their current Valks?
  23. Ok, a little tip for those who just bought Prime and fingers are hurting from unplugging the hand: take off the lower part of the arm connected to the shoulder via elbow(don't worry, it's connected via revolver joint, so no harm done). That way it's easier to plug in that hard hand to a very hard man without worrying about the shoulder.
  24. Heh, thought so. The minor Dash setback isn't a huge loss after all. Finished the whole game with YF-19 FP as the lead, and didn't feel it. You're very, very right about this game having the best game versions of the valkyries to date(YF-19/21 more specifically. They finally gave Max a VF-1S!). Felt so much a ease with them than I was with ACE 2. Too bad the
  25. On the subject of Transformer Movie toys, I'm surprised that there isn't a G1 repaint of Movie Ironhide. Heck, I don't see even a single custom painted Ironhide around. Does no one care about red Ironhide, or has everyone grown too fond of the black Ironhide?
