Finally got around to the actual Gundam huh. I was wondering when this would happen after I saw this a few years ago.

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread

I would recommend caution when dealing with any part of the shoulder-arm assembly. I had the same attitude after about 3 transformations each way until it snapped on me.- 1057 replies

The Megazone 23 Garland By Yamato Thread
j_wong00 replied to Renato's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Hello, got my Garland toy, and was pretty impressed... until today (two weeks after). After repeated transformations without any problems, the shoulder joint (connects right arm to the front tire/wheel) broke. Does anybody know where I can get replacement parts (if possible) for this? Otherwise, I'll have to leave it in cycle mode, as thanks to the magnets it holds together just fine. Thanks for any info, and sorry if this is already addressed. jw- 1057 replies

You expected anything less?? I can't stand HG just as much as the next person, but what they do is no different from any company promoting their product. They will boast their position, while (conviently) omitting anything they believe will be detrimental to them. Oh for the record, I like how they left out the fact that it was HG who started the whole mess in the first place; Toycom Mac+ incident anyone?

While seemingly difficult to see, disappearence of inventory (or "shrinkage" in business terms) is not that farfetched in a small business (Palladium Books is definatly one). In this case, as like most small businesses, you have a small staff that have to control everything, and as KS claimed this person was a close personal friend, he like many trusted him to run the bulk of the nitty gritty of the business. Someone having control of inventory, accounting, and access, it would be rather easy to remove the merchandise, especially over a period of years. Also, since as KS has admitted, everytime there was a small problem with inventory, he would let Steve handle the investigation; which your basically (in hindsight) telling the crook, to catch himself. Are the numbers a little exageratted? Most likely, but that doesn't mean the actions of this person didn't do possible major damage to this company.

Gundam Show Thread - MSG thru GQuuuuuuX
j_wong00 replied to Black Valkyrie's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, not quite ture on the animation part. Most Gundam shows had decent animation for it's time, however the animation in SEED, and Destiney suffered from mediocore CG, and recycled footage that would make Wing cringe. I don't mind the odd recap eps, but Destiny got a little ridiculous. It also had about TWO miniutes of recap of the last eps. before the op. sequence (most I've seen, only have about 30 seconds).- 3888 replies

In a nutshell... Too many recaps (fillers, and beginning of each eps.). Supposed main character(Shinn) upstaged everytime an older character(Kira) shows up.- 3888 replies

The two movies I started thinking about when I saw the trailer, were "Logan's Run", and "Soylent Green".

Robotech: Live Action Movie!?!?!?!?
j_wong00 replied to valkyrie_cadman's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
How does the saying go... 2% of the users, 98% of the attitude. Don't get me wrong, Macs are great machines, just not enough (in comparison to PC) software out there. Of course this is getting OT. -

Hey that movie wasn't that bad... until the opening credits ended. -
It's been a while, but I think I got a "hooded" Cobra Commander as a mail-away. Don't remember if that version was ever packaged for retail though.

Question for you A7. From your posts, you've seemed... less then impressed with what's happening in pro-wrestling, so why are you still watching? Holding out hope it'll get better ? Just to let you know, I do find it amusing when you comment on them.

Perhaps there's something about this show that even ADV doesn't warrant support?

I know there was a third party who made these boot disks. They were called bleemcast by bleem!, and the disks were game specific. To my knowledge, only two games were done. They were Metal Gear Solid, and Gran Tourismo. Since there were a NA company, I doubt they made any for import games. Oh, and bleem! has since gone under, mostly from Sony suing them to oblivion.

It is Mcdonalds after all .

Why deny them when they can double dip (and dare I suggest triple-dip?) them? I think that the Macross ver 2.0 DVDs are proof enough of that. Can a dubbed version of Mospeada be far behind (and yes, a dub of SC for 1BRD trailing a distant third)? 345676[/snapback] I think the offical term is now called "multiple bites at the apple". Most of the rest of world call it screwing your audience.

Didn't they use this for a"Go-Bots" toy?? Can't remember, but I swear I thought I saw the same thing under a different package of some sort.

I remember that show, loved watching it, and playing along since I had that white plane that was interactive with the show. Wonder if it will be on DVD anytime soon...

I just recently viewed the movie, and overall I thought it was entertaining. Not great, but still fun to watch. The parts I thought they did well in compressing was the Takumi/Natsuki relationship. I felt the actor who played Itsuki did a great job, and that he pretty much stole the show in pretty much every scene he was in. Oh, A7, about Ryosuke and Nakazato, even in the manga, they never actually said they were enemies or friends. I guess they kinda made them on better terms since it seems they took the Keisuke character, and incorporated his personality into both of them.

Personally, I buy/collect things for one simple reason; I wanted one. I don't think I've ever bought anything (in terms of toys and what not) as an investment.

Alright everyone. 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... LOCKING TIME.

None of the SRW games (and to date there are about 23 for almost all the systems out there) have been translated. Mostly due to very little demand outside of Japan (compared to other games). Also, the licensing would be a complete nightmare.

Is it just me, or does anyone else wondering what the hell happened to the stealth fighter pilot? Or did I miss it when I was called away for those precious seconds.
