  1. I thought it was abrupt. I enjoyed most of the series. Snake Eyes shouldn't have been able to take out a row of Cobra Troopers that easily in the end. The 1st one I can see him destroying, but the others should have been more of a challenge. I really wish we could have seen Cobra Commander actually fight the joes. I think he just arranged for the transport, instead of planning to fly it.

  3. Triad Toys' Samurai Champloo These look very cool. Triad Toys is a newcomer, if you guys haven't seen their previous figures, they made some awesome ninja figures last year, and are making Taki from Soul Calibur as well.
  4. NEW RESOLUTE FIGURES! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Including the 1st images of Resolute Snake Eyes!
  5. Looks like the double nuts version to me, just with black instead of pale dark blue.
  6. Well that and the windows blew up, severing his vocal cords in the process. When he emerged from the wreckage with Scarlett in his arms, he was trying to scream, but no sound came from his mouth. Also he and Scarlett were already close before that whole mission occurred.
  7. It's from a song called "Lemon'd I Scream" by hide of X Japan. It's a song about getting something which ultimately is a lemon. Therefore, "lemon'd". Feeling the same way after seeing my V2 1/60 VF-1S Roy's shoulder hinge crack, followed by the next hinge, I felt lemon'd; or yamato'd I should say.
  8. Your best bet is the Saga Dagobah version from 2006. It came with removable swamp moss, Dagobah training Luke, and some sea creature. Best one to date, and the weathering isn't overkill like the 2002 version.
  9. Haha. Do you know where it's from?
  10. I think it's a VF-17. It would be a 2nd coming since the original VF-17 by Bandai was originally released 15 years ago, and a new 1/60 VF-17 by Yamato could be a 2nd coming to Graham because he likes the VF-17.
  11. Man I'm really hoping this hinges were fixed, it does make sense that a smaller pin with thicker hinge would fix it, that's how the 1/48 hinges were and mine hasn't broken. You can push that thing through the stoppers and see no breakage. After staring at the VF-1S Max Custom pics, I can see why the DYRL? valks sell well in Japan and why companies like Yamato and Bandai constantly pimp out the DYRL? valks first; it's just a damn sexy deco. Sure Max's just has blue trim instead of yellow like Roy, but blue looks good on a Skull valkyrie. So does red. Damn I never imagined I'd want to get the 1S but I just might....DYRL? dogfight FTW!
  12. They are just trying to figure out what is going out specifically, it's not like your guesses were any better than theirs.
  13. Wait, so separate deals for each Macross 7 toy that Yamato wants to make in 1/60 scale in the future? If I remember right, licenses may pertain to specific mecha as opposed to entire shows, however with Macross 7 Bandai did sit on the license for a long time, and from what it seems, was the only company able to make toys from it legally, until now. Perhaps, and this is building off of the rumor, Yamato has to make deals with Bandai because Bandai has some Macross 7 toys planned in 1/60 scale too. Maybe Bandai will let Yamato do specific versions that they themselves have no plans on making. For example, maybe Bandai didn't want to do a VF-22 and instead wanted to focus on the core cast, such as Sound Force(VF-19, VF-11MAXL, VT-17). This would enable them to make the Blazer Valkyrie/Emerald Force variants, VF-19P, and VF-17. Or maybe Bandai got the VF-171 license, and Yamato got the VF-17. Since Yamato also has a VF-11B tooled up, maybe they can reuse it with minimal retooling as a VF-11C(would it even need retooling?). For the VF-17 and it's associated variants(aside VF-171), I guess whomever gets the license is able to make all VF-17 variants from Macross 7 only.
  14. Possibly, can be seen as the first time he made a variable fighter from an existing fighter, whereas the valkyries are all variable fighters of his own design(sure influenced by real world fighters, but different in that he didn't just take a real world fighter verbatim and turn it into a robot). As much as the MP seekers differ from the cartoon model and original prototype, it didn't bother me much. It's awesome in my opinion that the guy who designed the original Seeker mold designed the Masterpiece version, and the MP seekers are my favorite transformers.
  15. Kawamori Shoji designed the Diaclone Aerobat F-15 in the late 70's, it was in blue with white/red trim, then later used in Transformers as the mold for the seekers(the closest in color being Thundercracker). He designed the VF-1 in the early 80's but this was a few years after he designed the Diaclone F-15. Takatoku Macross VF-1's were released in 1982.
  16. Any signs of stress? I'm very tempted to order one right now. The 1S looks GREAT too. I was thinking of passing but now I'm not so sure.....relevant scene in DYRL? which I absolutely loved, and the blue, sure it's just a repaint of Roy's but damn that blue looks good on the 1S. I prefer the black heatshield on the 1S as it makes it different from Max's DYRL? 1A.
  17. Spark Blue Soundblaster
  18. 12AM Saturday which is Friday night. 1 hour special. Though some say it will show at 9PM Friday too, I'm not sure. The finale will be shown for the first time, the last 10 minutes of the special. We have the 8th episode up over at HissTANK, available for streaming. The ninjas have a final duel....
  19. No awesome as in awesome I want to see a toy of that. I liked Macross II mecha, story wasn't good but everything else I liked(cept for the characters being rehashes of DYRL cast). Though I think the next 2 are VF-0D and VF-5000, I hope for a VF-3000. Closer to a F-14 Tomcat than both the VF-0 & VF-1, and I love the Tomcat.
  20. Will either version, if produced, have more tampo printing like the v2 1/60 VF-1's, so that you don't need to put a lot of stickers on to make it look like the one shown on the boxes? Also, since it has been a while since the YF-19 mold was released, will it feature some retooling or modifications to reduce the risk of breakage? It would be very cool to see the yellow trim and Skull & crossbones's already printed on.
  21. ^^^^^^ ^^^^^ ~This dude FTW !! !
  22. You're right it is Ripcord. Nonetheless, the changes from RAH in Resolute are not as extreme as the ones from RAH in the movie. Despite that, both Resolute and the movie, despite being based on RAH, are all new continuities so nothing neccessarily has to stay the same as RAH.
  23. HLJ.com has both regular and black ML Soundwaves on clearance, "Soundblaster" is on clearance for $30+shipping....
  24. The VF-0D and the unnamed valk might be easier to design as a perfect transformation toy and to tool up, than the VF-4. It's probably more difficult to maintain the sleekness/slender of the VF-4's fighter mode(one of it's key aspects) while keeping it PT compared to retooling the current VF-0A mold with new wings, vertical stabilizers, and cockpit. Doubt it, it's not like the VF-22S Gamlin Custom was onscreen much either. Also this year is the 15th anniversary of Macross 7, so that might have something to do with the 22S release. Metal Siren was awesome.
