  1. For the VF-1? Hell no man, thats way too small for a SOC VF-1. If Bandai wants to do another VF-1, I say do it in 1/55. Big enough, yet not breaking the bank.
  2. Hey its close to that time of the month to see the monthly hobby mags, lets hope we see something new from bandai!
  3. More like thats the only market they can sell to. That is a possibility. The most similar product is Masterpiece Starscream by Takara, and that was close to $100, but also in 1/60 scale. Similar due to scale, designed by Kawamori, and released by the only other company big enough to compare to Bandai. Agreed. Besides, its not like Bandai is making 1/60 Macross Plus valks or SOC 1/60 DX VF-1. Yamato's got those covered. What we are seeing here is no overlap, which in turn means no saturation of the same valkyrie by both companies. This is a good thing.
  4. Voyager Animated Prime looks great
  5. The 1/60 lacks moving flaps, and removable nosecone to expose radar, but has double jointed elbows, a gunpod that sits higher in fighter mode, and a more flush underside due to the arms not drooping lower than the legs in fighter mode.
  6. Yea but that was 14 years ago. The 1/60 VF-25 rough prototype already looks closer to the VF-25 animation model, more than the 1/65 DX Fire valkyrie looked like compared to the animation model of the Fire valkyrie. Not to mention there aren't as many kids now in japan, than there were in 1994. Now the big decision, buy the first releases now, or wait for the inevitable FAST pack bundles.(hey, you know its going to happen!
  7. Definitely sounds like HCMpro now. 1/100 is probably the smallest size they can get, and retain detail and articulation. Thats actually smart on their part. I wonder if the 1/72 prototypes shown are for a variable part swapping kit. They are a good company with a lot of experience, I'm excited to see what they come up with, considering its been so long since they made something that appeals to us with regards to Macross(HCM VF-1 from mid 80's, which everyone seems to forget about). Its not like what they come up with will come up short.
  8. Thats more like it, thanks for the pics SaveRobotech. I only wish they showed this in more modes than just fighter. The armor is cheap for 3990 yen, so I will probably pick up one more set of armor after I purchase the bundle. I don't mind that the pilot's seat is placed further towards the nose than on the 1/48. It looks damn good. It would have been better if Yamato had it in battroid mode showing off what it can do with its added articulation.
  9. Its the voyager version, the mask can be placed up to cover his mouth, or folded down to reveal it.
  10. Exactly. The first time I saw the pics, I was like "you mean to tell me this is all we are going to see from Wonderfest?". Geez, the guys taking pics should have forgot taking pics of the vinyl fixed pose chick statues, those are always on the market. I'm probably going to preorder the bundle pack to save money, and besides, I'm determined to get armor to begin with. I like how it looks, just wish we could see more.
  11. I'm actually not worried about quality and price. I'm worried about the wait. I am impatient. I don't think this will be as difficult to transform as the Aquarion. I hope it comes with its own stand like the SoulSPECs and SOCs.
  12. Damn the 19, 21, and battle pod look great! Those are some dynamic poses shot there.
  13. Yea the girl in the beginning of the Soundwave episode was pointless. Not to mention corny. I'm tired of hearing Bulkhead say "my bad". I'm glad we are seeing the battle masks used more. I think its highly possible that Prowl and Bumblebee will recieve retools later on in the figure line with their battle masks on. Same reason why I will not be picking them up on launch day. The guy doing Megatron's voice is perfect. I don't think Prime will have an easy victory over him at all. What I like most about the Decepticons is that each of them have their own agenda so far(maybe not Lugnut, since he might be a tool, but that remains to be seen). I will probably pick up the Soundwave figure. I like his character on the show, so the figure is worth purchasing. The figure I look forward to the most as of now, is Ratchet.
  14. I've wanted to see what Bandai could do with a new valkyrie for a long time. I am glad they are making the VF-25. I can hear the ratchets now, feel the gloss paint coating, smell the styrofoam inner packaging. Nirvana.
  15. I wonder what those non FP models are, it says 1/72 on the as for them, are they plamo?
  16. Just saw the latest Animated episode:"sound and the fury". Great episode, not as good as last week's with Black Arachnia but good nonetheless. Soundwave has his own ambitions, and this episodes has a lot of nods to g1 Soundwave fans.
  17. I like the stands here better than the Revoltech stands.
  18. In that scale. Do they come in a set, or do you have to buy them seperately? Are they blindboxed? I am hoping the Hikaru VF-1J comes out for Xmas! That would make an awesome xmas gift.
  19. Even if I did got to Botcon(I want to), I wouldn't buy that set. The best one in that set is Jazz though, that is a well done retool right there.
  20. That is from the press release so its legit for sure. They aren't being held back or postponed. To be honest while they did say 12, it might just be 12 from now until fall, in total we might have more in 2008. I think most of the big guns are being saved for the joe con and SDCC. Exclusives to stores are unveiled at the joecon and I have a feeling some of the bigger vehicles are saved for that. I'm not sure if you guys read the toyfair movie preview rundown DESTRO did at hisstank, but he did mention there is a new Night Raven in the movie and that it is immediately recognizable.
  21. Hmm, if the bundle is cheaper I will get that sumbitch instead of buying seperately.
  22. Dak got confirmation from him. Sure he designed Classics Prime, we have proof of that from those leaked designs a while back. There was a thread where I, and a few others were going back and forth debating whether he Don designed Classics Jetfire or not. A lot of people think he designed Classics Jetfire solely because his Stormbringer drawing was the first public glimpse anybody got of the design. Honestly, being that he did not design all of the Classics, and that much of the team is comprised of talented individuals, is it really that hard to believe that he didn't design Classics Jetfire? The only things I know of for sure are his inputs for Classics Prime, and the Concept Car Hot Rod that wasn't used. I am a fan of Don's work, but if I am going to credit someone, I'd like to credit the person who did the actual design. Nubs, like a curved hexagon with the bottom cut off. I like Incinerator the way he is, the rotors are like weapons to me in robot mode. I think he would be more devastating than Blackout.
  23. Where did you hear that from? There are more coming. I think most of the stuff coming out is being held back for the Joe con, which is earlier this year than last. Also, the comic listings at TNI are most likely false. If you read the original post, the poster says he heard of the listing through his grandma who works at walmart and knows someone. Right....
  24. Finally found an IG Destro! Well worth the wait, difficult to say he is the best in wave 5. Wave 5 is the best wave all around, and each figure is great. I was expecting double jointed knees on this Destro. Best 3-3/4" Destro figure made, and that goes for both vintage, new sculpt, and anniversary versions. However wave 5 has some solid figures all around, lets just say if you are impressed with the others, you'll like this figure. The working holster, scabbard, and cape are nice additions to the figure.
  25. Don did not design Classics Jetfire. He got a glimpse of the prototype before it was officially unveiled, and used it for the basis for his Stormbringer Jetfire.
