I was wondering when someone was going to start doing that, lol. I'll probably start doing it at the end of this week. -Kyp

Yamato 1/60 VF-17 Nightmare Diamond Force
Kyp Durron replied to charger69's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
My thoughts exactly. I might get the VF-19F, and a V2 YF-19, if it gets made. Aside from those, I'm planning on getting a Super and Armored version of Ozma's VF-25S from Bandai to go with the Alto and Ozma bare Valkyries that I have on pre-order. After that, I think I'm pretty much done with Macross, unless I decide to pick up other VF-1's to go with the one Roy DRYL that I have. -Kyp -
I can't believe that the wait is finally almost over, it's been tough, and I've had to ignore several great deals lately because I needed to keep my money in reserve so I could pay for this pre-order, lol. It's hard being a poor Macross collector. But I have a feeling the wait is going to be worth it. -Kyp

^This is the reason I don't have one now, nor ever will. -Kyp

"This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by vlenhoff. View it anyway?" Who's fighting? Anyways, let's get this back on track. With the V1's, both Alto's and Ozma's valks were released pretty much at the same time. Now, Alto's is being released first (Due to the movies, I'd be willing to bet.), and Ozma's is being released 3 months later. I have a feeling they're going to change up the order a bit this time around. It will be interesting to see what comes after Ozma, and what, if anything ends up being a web exclusive. -Kyp

Including yourself, apparently. -Kyp

There's nothing wrong with feeling bad for those who bought the V1's and felt like they got the short end of the stick. Yes, I'm well aware that the V1's paved the way to the V2's we're getting, and of course, I'm thankful that we're getting these. But that doesn't mean that I still can't feel bad for those who felt they got screwed over by Bandai on this. Also, after seeing the prices from everywhere else on these, I'm glad I went with AmiAmi. -Kyp

Actually, I was looking at my Roy 1S and if they address anything, I'd like to see them put screw hole covers in the insides of the legs. They did it for the VF-0's, why not the V2 VF-1's? -Kyp
-
Highly unlikely, I'd be happy if they'd just reissue them myself. -Kyp

Wow...and it's not just the head or the neck, it's EVERYTHING that can be seen in the picture that shows the complete superiority of the V2 over the V1 of this sculpt. Makes me feel bad for those that got themselves balls deep into the V1's. -Kyp

I'm not going to worry about it till we know for certain. -Kyp

If they don't issue the Super and Armor sets as a bundle, then I guess I will have to get another 2 Vf-25S's and the Super and Armor sets separately. -Kyp
-
Which is why I'm glad I jumped on it the minute I saw they were up. I knew that it was going to end up selling out fast. -Kyp

Couldn't have said it better myself, especially the part I highlighted in bold text! -Kyp

No tough decisions here, I went to AmiAmi's site and hit that fraking pre-order button the second I saw tomac66's post and link. I like the bare Valk, everyone should have at least one VF-25S without anything on it, too awesome looking to cover up, IMO. I've already decided to triple dip on this one, I want a Super pack, AND an Armored version of this mofo, lol. -Kyp

Is it just me, or does it appear that this has a duller finish than the glossy version 1's? -Kyp

Where did you get the decals that show up on the dark paint of the Mark II? -Kyp

Yep, that's as good as mine as soon as AmiAmi starts taking pre-orders. Also, I think with those pics, we can put the "OMG! TEH WINGS ARE BENT UPZORZ!!!Shift+1=!" to bed now. They look straight to me! -Kyp
-
WTF...the two 1/60 V2 Roy 1S's that I had didn't have bent up wings, you guys got screwed. No Yamato that I've ever owned had that problem, either. -Kyp
-
My thoughts exactly. That having been said, it's not too big of a deal as I'm pretty sure I can get the wings straight. But Bandai still should've known better by this point, the 1/72 model kits weren't like that, and neither was the 1/100 Alto that was released. There's really no excuse for it. Hopefully, what we're seeing is just the final prototype and they will have that corrected on the actual product. -Kyp
-
If nothing else, I guess I could always sandwich the wings between two big books and set a weight on top and leave them there like that for a week or two if need be, lol. -Kyp

VF-25G most likely after Ozma's, probably around April next year or so. As for a CF, if they make one at all, it will be the after the RVF-25 comes out around July. I'd say around October next year, all these release months I'm talking about are based on them taking 3 months to come out with Ozma's after Alto's release. I'm going to wait and see if someone else uses a Gundam marker on theirs first to see how it looks before doing mine, lol. -Kyp
-
Yeah, it looks like they clip into place via a peg hole, and I'm not liking the fan intake detail either, it's rather bland looking. I think I'm going to be keeping those intake covers on mine. Other than that, it looks fantastic, the way it should have looked the first time around. Now, who will be the first to take a GM02 Gundam Marker and panel line theirs? -Kyp

Screw that noise, I'm not paying $300 for a Valk, that's where I draw the line. -Kyp
