  1. I paid right around $300 for CM's Legioss & Tlead when it was first released so that automatically disqualifies me from making any disparaging remarks about the price for this.
  2. While I feel I shouldn't have to, I would gladly pay for official replacement parts. It would be preferable to my 171 sitting here without shoulderpads. Do you hear me, Bandai, you can make a profit from your mistake!
  3. I'm sure I've seen it available to order at 14000 yen, but I really don't care enough to argue about it.
  4. Whatever the case may be, I was simply saying their prices can change and go up.
  5. They do. Not drastically like NY, but the prices change. I got my VF-25F from them for 13300 yen and after that it went up to 14000 yen.
  6. It would be fantastic if Bandai would address the issue. All they would have to do to fix it is include new shoulder pads with the upcoming super packs since all of the problem pieces are contained within them and they are easy to remove and replace. I have no expectations that they'll do such a thing, but I'll keep my fingers crossed anyway.
  7. Whatever the case may be, there is clearly something different with the CF version The instructions for the Alto 171 say the same thing and none of those broke. I still have no reason to believe it has anything to do with how we are transforming the thing for the simple fact that none of these same parts broke on the Alto. There is clearly something very different with this release, and since the parts and their alignment look the same I can only deduce that its a bad batch of plastic.
  8. The parts on mine were aligned correctly straight out of the box. It didn't crack until after the second transformation, and then fully broke during later transformations. If the plastic was weakened at the production level somehow (moisture can do it) it wouldn't really look or feel any different than the plastic on the Alto.
  9. The parts that are breaking for many of us have nothing to do with falling off due to being folded wrong or factory assembly, they actually crack and break, sometimes into several pieces. It's bad plastic. If it were incorrect folding then it would have also happened on the Alto version, and it never did happen with that one. Transform yours a few times and get back to us.
  10. Sure, but those black triangles also provide the socket for the shoulder pads, so without them the shoulder pads don't stay on.
  11. Bottom triangles broke now, and a little U shaped clip came out of somewhere. In all likelihood I'll probably just throw this piece of crap back into it's box and be done with it. Hey, maybe Bandai will do a 171 Renewal some day!
  12. My NUNS triangle is in four pieces. I tried to fix it with standard Crazy Glue but it didn't hold together at all, like I was using water. I'm really curious what kind of plastic these black parts are cast in if Crazy Glue wont hold it together. As for the guy selling replacements, I wouldn't waste my time or money on getting exact replacements for the triangles because the same breakage would probably happen. Until someone makes a Shapeways replacement my 171 is going to look a little strange without his shoulder pads.
  13. I paid $160 total, EMS was 2340 Yen And mine is still in the in the initial "begun shipment processing" stage. :/
  14. It's not Chrome, it's HLJ. I use Chrome, Firefox, IE and Safari and it happens on all four. Also I use two different home computers, my work computer, an iPhone and even my mother's computer and I get the same problem.
  15. That's interesting, considering Umi No Hi (Ocean Day) is the third Monday of every July, which would have made it the 15th this year - long before the "august restock" orders came in. My order is still in the "This order has begun shipment processing" phase. I'm not worried or impatient, I just find it curious as I've used HLJ for 13 years and I've never had something sit even half this long, nor have I ever experienced a delay due to Ocean Day. Does anyone have problems logging into their account at all? For the last month or so I have to enter my password between 3 and 8 times before it will log me in.
  16. My "August shipment" from HLJ is paid for and not shipped yet as well.
  17. So, anyone (Veef?) doing shapeways parts yet? I now have one cracked NUNS and one fully exploded NUNS. The best part is that I was going from fighter to battroid, moving the parts very slowly and carefully to see where the problem might be, and without feeling any resistance whatsoever half of the NUNS panel went flying across the room and the rest of the bits crumbled out later.
  18. Bandai should have listed "realistic battle damage!" as one of the features.
  19. I suppose 'worse' depends on how you look at it. The 171 triangle breakage certainly seems more prevalent than the V2 shoulder issue, but it's more cosmetic and less catastrophic. With the 171 breakage you still have an intact VF that can fully transform, pose, etc. With the broken V2 shoulder you quite probably lost an arm or two. Not saying I'm OK with the 171 breakage - I think it's enough of an epidemic where Bandai really should follow Yamato's lead, address the issue and offer us new parts. As for which I think is worse, I think the V2 shoulders were a worse problem. It tells us that you haven't transformed yours enough for the breakage to occur. Most of us are noticing the cracks after transforming back into fighter mode, and sometimes only after a couple of transformations. If you're suggesting we're being ham-fisted about it, that is most definitely not the case. I thought mine was totally fine too. Then after going back to fighter I saw a crack on one NUNS triangle. Later after my third transformation back to fighter, the other NUNS triangle had a crack. Transform yours a few more times and let us know how it goes. As for the cockpit, some people have problems opening it because it's finicky and very, very tight on some. It's not one of those canopies where you can just grip the sides and lift, you have to raise it first - and some, like mine, were very tight and hard to raise.
  20. I emailed them explaining that the only reason I ended up with two seperate orders was because their website was having issues and freezing, so hopefully they'll re-instate my order for one. I don't appreciate having my knuckles slapped with the ruler for a problem they caused.
  21. I ended up with two seperate orders last night because HJL's site froze multiple times while I was ordering and I had to log back in each time it un-froze. This morning they sent me an email reprimanding me for breaking the one-per-customer rule and telling me my orders were cancelled. I swear these Renewals are cursed. Have not made it through a single preorder without drama of some sort.
  22. That's pretty much who I meant by "someone" but I didn't want to single him out specifically.
  23. Now that both of my NUNS triangles are broken I'm especially hoping someone does Shapeways replacements.

    HI METAL LOVE THREAD

Go for it. It's solid, easy to transform and fun to pose. The main criticism it gets is that it doesn't have built in landing gear and you have to take parts off the head for fighter mode. Overall it's a good toy and looks fantastic in every mode.
  25. That's beautiful. I'd like to do that with my 1J kit but my painting skills are lacking to say the least.
