  2. Thanks again. I do hope many of you can make good use of that Tutorial and start sculpting figures for yourself. Yes, I do have pland to cast it into resin kits. But I need about 10-15 preorders to make that possible. And here is a shot of her ass.
  3. And here is a close up of her necklace and the Birdman amulet.
  4. Here is Sara with the Love Stick in her hands. It's an optional part.
  5. Thanks for the kinds words. It's actually not as hard as you think. All it takes is time and patience. It's no bid deal. anyone can do it. I have plans to make a Mao Nome figure too in the same scale (and some other Macross characters). This kit was made for mass production so I'll have to see how well it do if before deciding on making any others. Here is a photo of the parts division.
  6. Thanks for the comments. Yes, I do plan on getting a painted version done. I hope to have that in a week or 2 and enter it into Hobbyfanatics' figure contest. I'll post pics when I'm done. Here are photos of the backside.

  10. Yes, I use Sculpy too. The yellow stuff you see in the tutorial threads are that. The problem I found with sculpy is that they don't sand well and can't be used for fine detailing. So it is only good for making general shapes and large parts.
  11. Hi, I contacted the tech guy about your question. Here is the reply he gave me: Are you able to upgrade to those browsers?
  12. Here is a close up of the head/face. Go here for the tutorial on scratch-building the head. http://community.hobbyfan.com/modules.php?...iewtopic&t=1380
  13. I will have a full tutorial once the figure is completed.
  14. Here is a close up pic of the feather bracelet on Sara's right hand. You can go here for the tutorial on scratch-building her hands. http://community.hobbyfan.com/modules.php?...iewtopic&t=1362
  15. The bird-man amulet for Overdard's figure is highly inaccurate. It's not an egg with wings and a crown. The shape is not right and the swirl in the center also goes the wrong direction. From all the pics I've seen it's supposed to be one solid flat piece of metal (or wood) with no dimension to it. This is my bird-man amulet.
  16. I'm almost done. Just finished all the details on her dress last week. Currently detailing the face right now. Pic is from 2 weeks ago.
  17. VF-4 's overal design and engine placement is closer to the SR-71 Black Bird. I don't think it is anything like the Yukikaze.

  19. Most Krushima kits are 1/8 scale. And looking at the price, that's what it will probably be. Almost all of the Krushima kits has been recasted by by Hong Kong. So there is a very good chance that'll happen to this one too. My Sara figure is 1/7 in scale. The price should be around $40-$60 if I do cast it (depending on the material and final parts division).
  20. Crap! And I thought I was gonna be the first to sculpt a Sara figure.

    Sara Nome

Thanks for the comments everyone. I always thought Sara Nome was a pretty well designed character. I was very pleased to see that the character designer gave her the right physic of a native-Island woman. Dark long hair, dark skin, broad shoulders, big breasts, and wide hips. (If you have even seen those National Graphics photos, you'll know what I'm talking about.) I'm glad they didn't go for the typical exaggerated anime-chick body and neon hair colors.
  22. New address to the forum is: www.hobbyfanatics.com Be sure to add an "s" after hobbyfanatic or else you end up on a totally different site.
  23. You can see all the entries here: http://community.hobbyfan.com/modules.php?...=viewforum&f=37
  24. You said many times that you will not reply and move on. But yet you still come back... You have now proven to me that you are no doubt a liar (again and again). I'm not going to bother with you anymore. Good day SlamDunk.
  25. Slamdunk...according to what you have said: You don't hang out at any anime board because you do not hold onto your anime past. That you are a person who makes contribution to the real world. But yet because of the bad judging for the Hobbyfan contests and the fact that all the judges are blind as bats, you have decided to register into Macrossworld for the very first time to voice yourself... because this is the only time you feel that you have to say something. But you have no intention to fix anything for anyone. In real life, no one is going to teach people everything. There are things that we have to figure them out ourselves or we are helpless. And now you have wasted enough time and must move on in life. I thought you got to go becasue it's Friday night! But then you are back again with us anime people in just a few hours? Your cover story is a mess. You are not even trying. Most likely, you are a Macrossworld regular and were a contestant in the Christmas Contest who didn't win any big prizes. I'm saying that because I doubt anyone would go though all the trouble of registering a new name just to complain. If the person doesn't have any emotional attachment to the subject, he wouldn't have bothered. You also wouldn't have picked this board if you don't hang out here all the time. You didn't win, you are not happy, but you don't want to complain directly on Hobbyfan's message board because you know that we can find out who you are easily on our side. You probably don't even want to lose that extra 10% discount we handed to all the contestants. So you decided to make a fuss here to disrupt future events. You probably think that your actions will get less people entering in the future, which means that you have less competition and have a better chance of winning next time. Pretty "smart" plan I must say. Of course, this is all just speculation. I could be totally wrong and we did do a horrible job at judging. After all ... my IQ is only less than a raisin.
