It was not disclosed who provided the voice for VY1. The character is actually know as CUL (short for "culture"), the mascot character for VOCALO Revolution, a TV program aimed at expanding the awareness and acceptance of the Vocaloid "culture" within Japan. She used the VY1 voicebank for the show, CUL "sang" the shows introduction, and the closing credits of the show.

The band's names are listed in the DVD end credits, but not sure if they are a known band. During the course of the concert, several MMD composers did also join in to play. The guy with the white guitar jumping around the stage here is DECO 27, the composer of this song. How cool is that to be able to perform your own song with Miku on stage!

MMD CUP 5 ended eariler this month with it's closing ceremony. The competition showcased some of the most spectacular MMD videos to date. As far as MMD Cups goes this one was off the scale in terms of quality and creativity. In total 363 entries were entered into MMD Cup 5, a recored shattering number in comparison to MMD Cup 4's 211 entries. The jury actually had to extend the competition & voting time, and extra awards were specially given to accommodate so many exceptional videos. The best & biggest MMD Cup yet! New Vocaloid released today in Japan! "VY1 Mizki" is the first vocaloid developed by Yamaha Corporation instead of licensing out the program to other publishers. Mizki is intended for professional musicians and has a higher quality voice bank. The program come with no character image and is Yamaha's intention for it to be a genderless, faceless voice for any user. Sample Song:

Hasegawa 1/72 Idolm@ster F-117 kit is ready for decals now. The white figure pattern was masked so the plane's body color & panels lines won't show through once decals are applied. BTW, YF-21 is complete, just need to snap some photos one of these days.
