  1. Don't flexistands only work by using friction to hold up the toy? Isn't that kind of dangerous especially on $130-$200 toys?
  2. Can you unscrew and take off the white shoulder armor and do a comparison with your other VF-0s if you get the chance? I think that will be what we're looking for.
  3. He's not being anal, he's stating a fact. You don't know if it will happen and assuming it will is only going to get your hopes up. No expectations, no disappointment.
  4. Translate plz. And the those pics are kinda nice. The last one of Ozma is goofy though.
  5. No offense man but what you don't know could fill a warehouse. Okay, Simpsons quote aside... can you read Japanese and have you been reading their sites? I would genuinely love to know what the Macross fans in the land of the rising sun think about the DX.
  6. Dude it's not "bashing" it's a joke. Quit being so butthurt, we all know Bandai makes great stuff. I'm sure all 5 of my SoC Evas and both my Rebuild of Eva SoC Specs can attest to that.
  7. We're getting a presumably 100% fixed version of a gorgeous Valkyrie. Yes, that totally sucks.
  8. I was ecstatic when I first got my 1/48 VF-1J. Then confusion when the Fast packs kept drooping (missed the locking backplate). Then anger when I broke the BP-8.
  9. Well there you go, you just answered your own question. I'm sure Bandai could find a way to make it work. After all, some of their newer Master Grade Gundam kits have weird and often times pointless leg spreading mechanisms for greater range of motion. I probably would be pretty content with the DX if the hips were in the right place and the landing gears weren't so tiny.
  10. The tips of the intakes on the legs extend far above the hips on the DX. The sketch and CGI does not.
  11. That drawing actually looks pretty cool. The DX's hip placement is still completely wrong though.
  12. Have we even heard of any breakage reports from the VF-1A? For that matter, what about people that bought the single release VF-1S? I've only heard horror stories from people that bought the VF-1S Fast pack combo.
  13. The scene with the black light I just assumed was due to the lighting off the scene. And the final scene is just too flashy to be able to really tell. I think the orange light they used on the pics from Yamato's site looks pretty nice.
  14. Screenshot from DYRL. Looks pretty red/orange to me. And this isn't like the red/black heatshield (which I think is rightfully red since his FAST pack skulls are also red in every scene) where it's equally different in each scene, the head light is red/orange in every shot where it's clear enough to see.
  15. Nicely put Jenius. Besides, it's not like we can do anything about it anyways. The toy has been made and paraded everywhere, it's not gonna change this late in the game. The people that don't mind will buy it and those who do won't.
  16. I'm pretty sure the head light is supposed to be red (looks orange in the pics which is pretty nice). Macross Mecha Manual shows it red and the animation itself shows it red. I think the 1/48 release was wrong. And that probably isn't the final product, I'm sure it will have the black outline on the arrows. Although it doesn't seem necessary.
  17. They're essentially going to be the same toy with different color schemes and heads. Pick the one that looks better to you because the only person that can make that decision is you.
  18. Roy's 1S head has yellow arrows on the side while Hikaru's has red arrows. Also the wings and cockpit on Hikaru's 1A are tampoed with 011 whereas his 1S is 001. It's not a perfect conversion but if those things don't bother you then more power to you.
  19. Anyone got an answer for me? I know it may seem like I'm being a tad impatient quoting myself to get an answer but I just didn't want my question getting lost on the previous page is all.
  20. Alright so I just recently finished watching the entire series with Lunar's subs, and while it's a great series I feel I could have enjoyed it with better subs. I noticed typos quite a few times throughout the series and some of their choices of words for translations seemed a bit awkward. Also their subs were pretty huge and song lyrics a bit distracting at times. With that said, has any other group finished subbing the entire series? I wish I had the ability to enjoy THORA's vids to it's fullest capabilities but I don't have an HDTV. From the still shots I've seen the quality looks phenomenal. And since they're doing the Blu-ray releases which have some improved animation I'll probably end up downloading and converting them into a lower resolution (which will probably still look fantastic on a SDTV) at some point in the future, but they're far from having the entire series finished.
  21. Gotta go with DYRL. I don't think I could ever get tired of watching it.
  22. http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN939674 Guys got a point.
