I was told the Yamato distributor in Hong Kong will be closed on 20th and 21st, so it won't be in stores until 22nd. Not sure if it's the same case in Japan
DX doesn't mean it has to be in 1/60 scale. The DX Macross Quarter is definitely not 1/60 or else it would be freaking huge (I am sure a lot of MW'ers would like to own one though). However, I do agree with you that the Monster belongs to the Robot Damashii line, albeit transformable.
Hurray! Looks like our prayers are finally answered. Yamato will be re-issuing the VF-0A and 0S in April. I just HOPE that this batch will be problem free.

I actually think the Toynami version is not bad at all. I only own the VF-1S Hikaru Strike, but I find it a lot of fun to play with. It's cheap, more durable, and quite easy to pose.
Love my Fire Valkyrie. Very durable and poseable. And I am okay with the size. It's really not that small (I never like big toys anyway). Perfect for fiddling around. And the parts changing is not much of an issue for me. Can't wait for the blazer valkyrie.
You are damned right! I've watched Conan since college, and I am really sad to see him go. Corporate America is so screwed up. Why do they keep rewarding those who are stupid and letting go the truly talented ones?
I certainly hope 3D won't be the way in the future. I don't mind watching 3D movies every now and then, but not everyone. Maybe I am too old school, but I still find the effect distractive
Either the Fire Valkyrie is selling really fast or only a few stores are carrying it in Hong Kong 'cause I don't see them much here. And yeah, the price is pretty steep, especially when you can get a stand alone 1/60 v2 VF-1 for less.
And who says the Chinese have no creativity? I laughed so hard that I almost fell off the chair. We need a good translation for the foreigners to appreciate the song. This is the best satire I've heard so far, haha....
Whoa... when it rains, it really pours!! Bandai finally got off its ass and get things moving. And Macross got the attention it deserved.
I am really glad to hear that the Blazer valkyrie is under development. Been always wanting to have a good looking one since I first saw the show.
I also hope this will put some pressure on Yamato to improve their QC and durability. Competition is a good thing.
A few more reviews:

Wow, it looks good in the review pics and is a lot bigger than I expected (when compared with the robot tamashii VF-25). If all goes well, Bandai is so going to redeem itself with this line.
Hopefully, this will also give Yamato more incentives to make the VF-19 and VF-17
So I guess the hunt begins this weekend!
The more I look at the animation, the more it looks like a video game quality show to me. As some of you may know, online gaming is a thriving industry in China with tons of local production companies (albeit not very advanced compared to the US). Perhaps they just adapted whatever technology they have in online gaming to animation. Who knows?
Looks like there is a new display stand coming out in March from Yamato. Does anyone know if this is just a re-issue or a newly designed one? Sorry, I can't tell. The arm looks the same but the base looks different.

The toys are out, just not on Ebay ... yet. Try TaoBao, the Chinese version of Ebay, but I think it's a pain for non-mainland Chinese to use. Else, try visiting major department stores in Shenzhen. I am sure you will find some there.
A mix of sarcasm and non-stop bashing. People in China are not stupid. They know there is such a thing called Macross Frontier out there. Indeed, I would argue that the criticism of the show by the Chinese themselves can be more harsh than anything on MW.
