  1. He has been working on it, he said a week or so for an update that is pretty enough to post here. He is making some good progress. thanks mike
  2. Molds are more than half done on this, i am still deep into the fore mentioned big project above, but have managed to sneak in a little here and there. I hope to have the molds done by the end of the week. Still waiting on decals so it will likely be another 2 weeks or so before this is available. thanks mike
  3. Cheap means the lowest that i can get if for a resin kit. This is much bigger than the bandai re issues (which i call 1/100 IMO) and bigger than Capt's by like 10 percent or so. I won't know real #'s until i get a material cost on my end. As usual i am not including any of the scratchbuilding labor into my equation. As for variations, yes i want to do the small and large missile carriers, I prefer the large so will likely do that first. I absolutely love the scout, but that is a much more complicated conversion and while i do expect to get to it, that may be a while.
  4. Hey guys, so i have been on a HUGE project for a big company since June, but it's almost done. I do apologize for some of my flakiness over the past months, but when i can share what i have been doing (i am under a strict NDA at the moment) I hope everyone will understand. That being said, I have noticed that there has been some interest in a 1/72nd Realgult's lately. I have been slowly working on this a little at a time over the last couple of years. It's what i call an "army builder" kit. All the parts are broken down in a way that makes assembly and paint fast, almost no masking, just the front sheild and part of the mid leg, everything else can be painted as separate parts before assembly. It's big, 12 and 1/4 inches approx, I don't have a Captain kit but i think that may be 10% bigger than his, it's sized using the 1/60 Yamato as the size reference. Head is going to be 1 piece rotocast, so no interiors, again the target being ease of assembly and as low of a price point as possible. I only have 3 or 4 parts to finish scratchbuilding, a little detailing and this thing is ready to go, primarily molding starts this weekend and the decals are already ordered, not making the mistake of not having them on hand and needing to ship them later like the monster! Legs are on ball joints as well as the feet for a wide range of pose ability, also i will be including leg "extensions" so it can be built in keeling position if you want. Eye will be clear cast. It will likely be another 3 or 4 weeks before i am in production with these, but wanted to give everyone a preview while i had a free minute in my crazy day. thanks mike
  5. Awesome, how does the viscosity compare? Is it closer to the orange cap Tamiya or the Extra thin?
  6. Not until it's all done and molded up.
  7. Got a call from the 3d artist yesterday, his big job if finally done (for a big company!) and he expects to make some serious progress on this over the next 2 weeks. I am currently on a big project but hope to fit in the 1/72nd Q by end of Nov. I will post screen shots as he sends them to me. mike
  8. Humidity if finally gone!!!!! Makes me very happy,. For Sale thread with payment instructions at the link below. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=42903 Thanks to everyone for being patient, these should fly out quick now that i can cast again. I will get back to everyones PM in the next couple of days, but feel free to just follow the payment instructions in the link too. I will be bringing some stands to sell at Jerseyfest this weekend too if you want to buy some in person. thanks mike
  9. Hey Guys, sorry the heat and humidity of last week stopped me in my tracks, it was tropical, no good for casting the stands. I will post the for sale info tomorrow, sorry i did not expect it to be so bad last week, the whole week.
  10. All the stands have molds so they are all available. I will get a for sale thread up on Monday with payment instructions, i had a crazy busy week and an even busier weekend coming up, but these are ready to go. mike
  11. I don't have time to do them pre painted, sorry. As from price, i was thinking $10 each on the smaller ones, and like $14 on the bigger one, that is not much more than my cost. Shipping would be like $6.00 USA no matter how many stands you get. I need to figure out international. Does that sounds like a good price for these? mike
  12. Yep, you can drill them easily. The 7 inch is suitable to hold a 1/48 hasegawa in flight with a rod or is even big enough to have a 1/48 gear down on top of it.
  13. Mods starting a new thread because the decal discussion is getting mixed in with Capt's next project discussion and i am getting confused. Decals are in. I know people replied in the other thread but those are getting mixed in with other stuff over there. Please reply here and PM me again for decals. If you also have a 1/72nd monster put a reminder in here too. I am pretty sure i have everyone on the monster run accounted for but just want to back up the info. Also, is anyone interested in a run of these display stands? 2 different type of zentran stands, one 3 layers thin plates and 1 2 layer thick plates. Also 2 kites 1 5 inch, good for 1/72nd, and 1 7 inch, good for 1/48's. Molded from laser cut parts that i commissioned a friend to do. thanks mike
  14. Yep, i just made some new molds for stuff i needed. Also upgraded a few parts in anticipation of doing the Scout someday, hopefully by Nov., but time always seems to get away from me. In the meantime the standard regult pod molds in 1/48 are up and running again, so PM me if you want one. mike
  15. Good news, in bulk decals should only be about $3.50 per sheet. I already went ahead and paid for the whole run. Should be shipped in a week or so to me. I got 27 sets to have some extras mike
  16. Waiting to hear back from Jeff at Jt graphics on the decals, I ordered 20 sheets, should cover everyone who wants one..... Soon as i have them i will coordinate payment for the Ger decals and shipping. Reminder that Monster decals will go out to everyone who has both kits at that time, there is no charge for anyone getting monster decals and the Ger decals will be at cost. thanks mike
  17. Unless i am mistaken, these are sized for the old Imai kits, much too small for the Capt's kits.
  18. Just spoke with the 3D artist, he had to move recently and it took him a bit longer to set up his new office than expected. These things happen right? So he is on a large job for a big company this next 2 weeks then he will be back on this for me. I am really looking forward to this as much as anyone, so will update as soon as i can. thanks mike
  19. JT graphics has the decal sheet for the 1/72nd glaug. I commissioned him to do the decals after i purchased the pattern from Capt. He also has the regult decals in 1/48, you may be able to ask him to re size a set for you in 1/72nd. However my 1/48 pod may be proportionally larger, let me check the percentage change. mike
  20. I have purchased the pattern to the figure from the Capt. I can start a new thread or people can chime in here if they are looking for one. I will coordinate the decal stuff next week. From Facebook it looks like Jeffery has been pretty busy, working until like 3am, so i was giving him a bit of time before bugging him.
  21. Thanks guys, i will give everyone a few more days to notice this thread and get a decal order together. mike
  22. If you guys want i can arrange for JTgraphics to do the whole run, i will pay him upfront and then you guys can get the decals from me (at cost). The added benefit is that anyone who i will be sending out Monster decals to I can piggyback the 2 together. If that is interesting to people let me know. mike
  23. I am guessing that i can get Jeff at JT Graphics to print the decals if anyone wants me to ask.
