Maybe my expectation was too high, I found this show dissappointing; weak in storyline with loopholes. Donnie Yen's 14 Blades still not yet shown in the states/west? I love that show, but it wasn't really a kungfu show but a wuxia(what's it call in English?) film.

I would love to see a Battle 25 transformation. At least we get to see that Battle 25 "trys" to transform in the series, but we see nothing on its transformation in the movie.

I don't know, I think it's just some kind of poster art, as in, you definitely won't see Sheryl and Ranked got tied up with red threads in the movie like they did in that picture.

Cons: I agree with this so much. Personally I think this is the worst con for the movie.

Just finished watching the dvd raw version on my tv. I'm too lazy to post a review or anything long, thus in short: 1) Just as mentioned before, battle scenes only in the begining and ending of the show, in between the show there are Zero action. 2) The battle scenes aren't grand, I'm not saying that they are bad(neither do I say they are not bad), they are just not as grand as the series. 3) The songs didn't go well with the battle like it did for the series. 4) I like the art in the movie. Background, Characters, CGs etc. Details are good, too. 5) I'm not saying it's bad, but I just don't like the script, as compared to how the original Macross series were made into DYRL, I like the way how DYRL was made. 6) Somehow I didn't feel the excitment or enjoyment while listening to the songs in this movie. It's not well arranged in the movie asc compared to the series I guess. Pardon my English. Oh, and the trailer for the 2nd movie at the end of the credits shows

Hmmm maybe someone could start a new thread on the movie, since previously this thread was for the news and the all the waiting, and since it's already on torrent I guess in a matter of days people would start discussing about it.

That's how all VCDs looks like seriously. DVDs 480i/p, VCDs <480i/p Edit: Added the Cover. The picture not in the casing is the back of the disc cover. Note: I'm not implying this is an original disc. I'm only saying this is a very good quality bootleg which quality is as good as an original disc. Edit2: The Red wordings on the disc goes something like this "Macross 7 Movie Committee. All Rights Reserved" (I just kept it back, lazy to double check lol), if anyone was curious about those words.

I have that disc too. I believe the back side of the disc is gold(not those cheap type[i have other bootleg anime disc in gold, but the quality of the gold is too obvious]) in color. Yeah too good to be bootleg.

It seems that in this thread, those who don't "fly" their valks are freaks. Now I feel so ashamed that I never fly any of my valks even once.

This reminds me of Zone of the Enders 3. Rumored years ago, not really a single word years after.

I'm the other way round. Personally I feel that the 2nd movie was much better than the first. But I do really hate they overdo the racism in the 2nd movie.

The reason I can think of Donnie not accepting Ip Man's role in its 2nd sequel is that the script sux. Which means bad news to us. Hope that the script doesn't sux and Donnie take back his words.

I saw this news Singapore. Some Chinese critcize "The Karate Kid", saying a "Black boy"(term qouted from the news) beating a Chinese kid is an insult to the Chinese. Then Chinese beating foreigners in all the past kungfu films weren't insultation to the foreigns? I'm speechless.

I saw a news saying Ip Man 3 will start filming at the end of the year. The news didn't say Donnie will not be in it, neither does it says he will be in it. I just hope 3 won't fail Ip Man. Btw a Bruce Lee film is "under discussion" as well.

I like the plane designs, but I really hate the shameless copycating to the core. It's ironic that its Toy Advertisement is asking the public to purchase the original Astro Plan toy... they are so dare to say that when they bootlegged Macross valkyries... really shameless. Astro Plan really stinks the "China brand" internationally.

Yupe, that's what I'm trying to say. John was so important to the Resistance because of his knowledge on Skynet/Terminators/future, and those knowledge was from his dad and his terminators that he sent back himself to protect him. Let's say if John dies at T2, and somehow a random guy Dickson becomes the Leader of the Resistance, I believe Dickson will do the same thing as John Connor by sending terminators back to protect himself where young little Dickson get to learn about the Skynet/Terminators/future. Most important of all, we would be all bored. That's so true and I have never thought of that.

Seriously I think it's not a tough question, but I really have problems putting the logic into words. (My English sux) The logic I was thinking is, even they kill John Connor, there will be another "John Connor"(anyone else as the Leader of the Resistance). Likewise, if Sarah Connor was killed, some other woman would have give birth to another man who would become the future leader of the resistance be it Tom, Dick or Harry(but I prefer to called it "John Connor" here). So, given the way the logic works, even Skynet kills Sarah Connor's grandmother, "John Connor" will always be there. Ok I think I didn't answer the question lol. Anyway what's the difference between "Sarah Connor was dead before she was pregnant and John Connor was never born" and "Sarah Connor was never born as her mom was dead before having her and therefore John Connor was never born"?

Oic, I always thought all movies create the subs themselves. Now I know the subs are created by the individual countries.

Correct me if I'm wrong. The MF movie doesn't have subtitles, that's y ppl were discussing abt the chances of getting subbed BR/DVD, and foreign language movies w/o sub won't be showing in local cinema. I would love to see it in sg too.
