1. That's a bad ASS collection you've got there! Very nice.
2. That last post sure came out looking like crap. OKAY WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO TIGHTEN UP THOSE JOINTS? On the VF-s, I'm referring to. *hears people coughing*
3. Dude they did. Page 16, item 13, side picture. They did again, page 15, item 12. Genius. Keeps the valk minty fresh too. Hey - is using nail polish better, or using dental floss and the like? I'm gonna try it with that plumbing tape (the one u use to wrap around water pipe joints) which is soft and discreet. 399602 Hey - is using nail polish better, or using dental floss and the like?
4. This thread will go on forever! Long live Macross Zero. Give me my figgin' VF0A.
5. I just got mine in the mail today. Unfortunately the joints are weak... sorta' feels like a really light version of a "masterpiece collection" toy. Also, that piece that is supposed to fold up to cover the rear "back thrusters" I guess you'd call it (the piece that flips over the top in Gerwalk mode) broke off already. Which is odd. First time I've ever had anything break off a Yamato before. I'm also not so sure I'm digging how they did the feet on this thing. Really flimsy. Basically the whole toy feels really flimsy. BUT, despite those downfalls, it's gorgeous. I luv it! I got the thing not to play with, but to display, so I could care less about the problems. Not like I'm gonna' buy one of these for my kid to play with. I also noticed on the sticker sheet, the pilot name for a certain Shin character... which means I WILL be getting my beloved VF-0A!!!!! *cough* which I'm kind of happy about. ---Bri
6. If Bandai made Valk kits like that I'd have a whole new hobby real fast.
7. Oops!!! Here is the hasegawa again. Tempted to get it but I'll wait for the Yamato one 393715 Well. It may not be what's coming in the mail... eventually. BUT - the Hasegawa model does look damned good. I hope my Yamato looks as nice. Am I the only person out there who's anxious to see a toy/model of the VF0A and not just the VF0S? I love the blue color on the A, plus the head just looks better than the S. Of course, that's just MY opinion, and I will admit to feeling partial to anything good ole' Roy Focker/Fokker/Fo-however the hell you spell it pilots. But I still think the A looks cooler. I want one. Freaking A' do I have any gas money left?
8. why the hell did that post twice
9. Strider --- your quote is from a damned good movie. Why were there pics posted from a VF0 model kit???... I may be anxious (a little) to finally get what I paid for like two months ago but I could care less about hasegawa pictures. That is, until the day I start building those things. Which leads me to ask. What's cheaper --- Yamato 1/48 and the like, or hasegawa model kits?

11. Hey Roy, great quote! Calvin and Hobbes definitely shaped a lotta' my outlook on life when I read it as a kid. I feel bad for any youth who grow up never knowing - A: Robotech/Macross B: Calvin and Hobbes
12. I WANT A VF-0A. Dangit. I don't need food or anything.
13. I would say my most prized toy IS --- my Art of War Zodd/Zoddo apostle PVC figure. (Berserk of course.) Try finding one of THOSE for under a grand.
14. You're freaking lucky. I never find the good deals!!!!!!!!! I love Macross Plus, especially since MY last name is Dyson, so naturally I really like Isamu. But I've decided to hold out on buying any Macross Plus toys until Yamato decides to make one at least as big as a 1/48 scale valk. Then I'll find a way to bleed out THAT money too.
15. For anyone who knows what I might be talking about, --- I paid 600 dollars on Ebay for a 12 inch long PVC poseable Zodd. (with the wings)
16. If you wanna' make up for no VF-Zero, see if you can find any cool Art Of War Berserk figurines/toys. Those things are hell to come by in the states. It's as expensive as collecting this Yamato crack.
17. My wife is so pissed off that she bought me that Robotech series on DVD for my b-day. Money is tighter than ever once I discovered Yamato 1/48....
18. I too have a twin moons VF0 awaiting my grasp. 391783 Ditto. I can't wait!! Come on Tam, give us the good news!!! Chris 391848 Well, I got an email today from FedEx saying an "Emil Moon" sent me a package. Could this be one of the twins from Twin Moons Anime??? 'Cus I'm not sure who in tha' hell Emil Moon is.
19. I too have a twin moons VF0 awaiting my grasp.
20. I just bought a vf1j hikaru 'cuz I figured I'd better get one before they're gone for good! Crap. What exactly IS going to be rereleased and how much money will they be???
21. Usually ebay has a super-abundance of Yamato 1/48 valkyries, but the other night I checked it out and WHOAH! All of the sudden all the valks are getting actually auctioned instead of having set prices, and there was hardly anything there!!! Is ebay running out of yamato dealers? Are the dealers running dry? Or are they just trying to milk us now?
22. What I once thought was a straight-forward project is fast becoming a complexity withing complexities. I was hoping to finish in a month or less, but this looks like it's going to take more like 6 months. College + wife + kid = not much spare time. Well... my 1st step is going to be converting a VF-1J Hikaru into an MG1. (I have a photo of a Hasegawa VF-1J with MG1 decals and it looks absolutely awesome.) The MG2 with strike armor VF-1S will be my 2nd project, which I'm hoping the MG1 will get me ready for. You know. On 2nd thought, I think I'll make my VERY 1st project just converting a Hikaru VF-1S into a Max. If anyone has suggestions on the best kind of masking tape to use --- please don't hesitate to post! I bought some 99cent store masking tape and used it on painting up one of my kid's GIJoe tanks and the paint totally leaked in a lot of places. ---Bri
23. I want to convert a 1/48 VF into a Minmay Guard. What I want to know, is should I airbrush the entire valk white, or just strip the paint off where it needs to be stripped off? If someone can help, please let me know! ---Bri
24. Geezus what a prick. People like that shouldn't have websites.
