1. I feel like I'm seriously missing out by not owning this game...
2. Never worked with molten plastic, unless you want to count me boiling my mouth pieces for kickboxing. So I'm not really in the know. Actually I'm completely ignorant. And I've never heard of JB weld. Any info on it I should know about?
3. 426743 The boiling thing only would work BEFORE the socket cracks though. As for melting a new ball/socket from somewhere, I have no idea what that means. I guess I'm too dense. 426809 I'm too dense for that as well. (I'll stick to the gorilla glue)
4. I'm looking forward to a YF-21 more than a VF-11. Not even a close race.
5. Hahaha! Maybe I should buy the wife a low-vis purse, then she'd let me buy a low-vis valk to match it. I just calm my wife's fears by telling her that the toys are still worth a lot of money even out of the box. Before she met me she used to collect spoons. SPOONS. 'Course, before I met her I didn't collect anything at all.
6. Okay, I found a site with pictures. Also, it seems the fastpacks will retail for 12.95 I hoped it would be less, but feared it would be more. Not sure what to say about the price. Here's the link. http://www.collectiondx.com/node/1033
7. You saw pics of the fastpacks for these? Where? Where?
8. My wife just looked at that picture and said "What does he do with them?" Then I explained, one for each mode, one for each mode FPd, and one to mess with. Now she understands. But she'd never let me do that.
9. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazines/mg_0398a2.jpg There's an example of a model with comparable dimensions in regards to intakes and shoulders. And I still think it looks cool.
10. Wow, thanks David. Look at those pics... the gerwalk is amazing. Man I wish I was talented enough to make models. Those are unbelievably cool. Yamato, please make me proud on this one.
11. Does anybody have any cool pictures of the hasegawa YF19's painted up and in battroid and fighter mode, since I guess there are no gerwalks?
12. I fixed the split-rubber piece with gorilla glue. It's stronger than it was before I fixed it, and now I can put it in "fighter mode" tilted to the side as long as I want. I might just purposely break all of those pieces on all my valks so I can fix'em.
13. Crap, I've always wanted an escaflowne toy. Are they pretty cool?
14. I'm seriously wondering how these stands are supposed to hold up fast-packed valks. I hope the people at toynami redesign the stand attachments and package them with the fastpacks. Then i'll be appeased.
15. I've never had a toy break for no reason either. But I've had pieces not work right, like on my 1/48's. Okay, here everybody can throw as much poo at me as you'd like; I earned it. My Roy Focker that was in fighter mode and put at a very sharp angle sideways finally fell down. That little piece that everyone else has had tear... tore. So there you go. I suck. I'll admit it. But I do still like these toys! If you don't put them at that angle the stands are fine. And nothing on my toy broke when it hit (I suspect while I was asleep) and it was loaded with the heavy missiles I'll add. Now I can cheerfully try out my gorilla glue method and see how that works out. I'll also admit that the fact that the little piece broke is my fault. I shouldn't have expected that little piece to hold up in a pose like that. After all, it's just a cheapy stand side-bonus, not the actual toy. And Jenius; I agree with your marketing strategy criticism. Now I'll brace for the stoning.
16. Well. There are small pegs attached to the ball and cup, which go into holes. If you do not put the pegs far enough into the holes, this will result in the toy falling off of the stand and hitting the ground, possibly damaging portions (the ones being spoken of in this thread) of the stand accompanying the toy during the fall. Is that a logical enough example? Edited because two the's in a row didn't sound very logical.
17. 27 banprestos?! Nice. Any idea where I can buy more of those, especially strike/super parts? My guess for series 3, is... cannon fodder... aaand... maybe kakikaze and max's 1As from TV? I also would suspect a YF1R in there somewhere. (which I wouldn't mind at all - I think they look cool) Or, maybe series three will be alpha fighters?
18. Love the Hikaru rodeo-take down! Those are some great looking 1/60's. As for posing chunky monkeys -I just don't think there's any conceivable way to make those look cool. Call me an elitist if you will. I still LIKE the monkeys...
19. That's a lotta' $$$'s worth o' stuff. Insanely cool. How'd you come by all that??
20. That gakken shadow is wicked! Is it possible to find these anymore at this point in history?
