  1. I have no beef with HG releasing DYRL here in the US so long as it's unedited in any form or fashion (people over at RT.com are clamoring to see the original RT voice-crew Dub DYRL.... a geriatric voice crew? get real..... Warren and Clarke are the only two still doing Voice acting to any SERIOUS degree)

Tony Oliver aka Rick Hunter does Lupin the Third and Vandread. Listen, I wouldn't mind a stateside dvd release of DYRL. I wouldn't mind the Robotech crew doing the voiceovers. I would hate for HG to edit it and merged it to Robotech.

  2. If I am correct in my perception, you're talking about the Mach Go Go Go series that was released around 1999. As far as I can recall, it was a four episode OVA that remained faithful to story and development while updating the artwork (well, 'modernising,' because 'updating' didn't involve Michi/Trixie getting a dye job!). Unfortunately, I've searched for it for a long time, and it seems to be impossible to get a hand-on. It makes me wonder why, considering that a lot of companies throw ANY animé series out in the USA nowadays, they haven't brought it over to the 'States.

I notice the pictures I posted above don't show up for me. Can everyone else see them ok? If not I'm attaching one here so you can see what I'm talking about.

And yes what we are talking about I think is the same thing. However I was under the impression that there were quite a bit more then just 4 episodes. I believe it was meant to be a full series. I think the plug got pulled before the series was finsihed but I was under the impression maybe a dozen episodes had been released in Japan. Speed Racer Enterprises had transleated the pilot into English and did sell it on a CD which you could play on a PC. It also included the original Japanese opening and closing credits and I thought had some very brief info on the other episodes and there was a statement to the effect the others would be translated to English if there proved to be interest. I never heard much more about it from Speed Racer Enterprises. However it seems everything about this series is coming out in Japan except the series:

When it was on Nicklelodeon it was called Speed Racer X. The network ran more than a couple of episodes; sometimes they would have episodes back to back or marathon blocks.

  3. I'm not clear on one thing. The anime bundled in the Japanese release is it original anime or an edited SF2 movie(which by the way I liked as well as SF2 V and SF Alpha movie.)? :p:p Oh, I believe SVC Chaos will be on PS2 and X-Box as well as 3D Polygon King of Fighters on PS2.

  4. Cartoon network needs to make a Legion of SuperHeroes show.

Legion would rock as a animated series. We got a taste of that when Cosmic Boy, Saturn Girl, and Chameleon guest starred on the Superman show. LOSH went into the past to protect a young Clark Kent from being killed by Braniac. That's one of my favorite episodes next to the Superman/Darksied slugfests.

  5. just a thought but isn't it a little early to introduce lois lane?

i know they're doing a casting call but i don't think it'll be for this coming season. it just doesn't make any sense?

honestly, i watched the show for kristen kreuk more than anything else and if she get "replaced" by an actress who isn't quite as hot, i certainly won't be watching as often. :(

shannon elizabeth looks kind of funny. shes hot but theres something weird about her face? maybe cause its not between my.....well you know. ;)

Don't worry Kristen won't be replaced and she'll possibly have new love interest. I'm not saying Clark and Lana are splitsville (splitsville, Smallville...Get it...Huh?!!...Never mind...) :p . Lois will appear in four episodes to investigate just what happened to Chloe.

  6. Justice League will change it's format to feature not only the original seven heroes but a wealth of DCU heroes. Zatanna, Captain Atom, Supergirl, Hawk & Dove (personal favorites) are only to name a few. The Justice League Unlimited will air in August after the rebroadcast of JL: Starcrossed (missed it was it; hope it was good). Here's a preview of the comic adaption:

  7. From the very start (as when Superman debuted in 1938), I would perceive that Lois may not necessarily be older, but she has a little more journalistic experiece and has always proved more aggressive at investigating than Clark Kent/Superman. The following links explain Lois's background and may shed some light on how the Smallville writers might interpret the character.

I think that the producers are doing something similar to the X-Men movies. In the movie Jean Grey is older than Scott Summers. In the comics that's not true. It's chic to depict a relationship with a older woman and younger man ala Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher.

Here's some hope for us Superman fans. WB plans a 2004 production start for the new movie. Also, Mc G is still directing and has screen tested six actors. Go to this link: supernews
