  1. I understand where you're coming from but the line-up is just the same as 2004 when I bought my 1/100 Glaug, 1/100 and 1/72 variables. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it goes well and more lines are reissued Hey it could be a good time to stock up on all the destroids and become an ebay gouger too! VTIC
  2. Yep, *sigh* and the ebay sellers breathe a little easier and relist their jacked up prices... edit: I shouldn't whine, it's not jacked up prices, it's just economics
  3. The reissue line-up looks just like the reissue of 2003 (or 2004?). Tomahawk, Phalanx, Glaug, etc. No Regults or other destroids... Bummer! Hopefully more variety shall be released this time around!
  4. There is one on eBay US at the moment. It might be worthwhile watching the auction to see how bidding goes...? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A:IT&ih=015 Mark
  5. Wow, that looks a lot like a Cheyenne.
  6. Hi mate, welcome to MW. Here's a good place to start. Just surf around to check out which kits have been produced in plastic and resin. Boxart, instructions, etc. are all there too. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/_models_index.htm For completed examples you're best off to search through MW. There are a few Chinese and Japanese websites around that do a lot of Macross, but can't help with links - I usually follow someone else's.
  7. I liked this other new scheme from DARPA. I heard they were trying to sell a few to Santa to escort the sleigh.
  8. Thanks mate. As I only have eight days to go at work, I'll email over my home address. Cheers Berttt!
  9. I'd love to know more about this too. Also, which paint did you use for the gun pod and the thrusters please? And what a great looking result! Well done.
  10. Here's a 1/100 child I modified to become a 1/144 Soviet test pilot for my MiG-1.44. The child figure was a little girl standing with a teddy bear. I cut at the hips and legs, filed the head round, and CA glued a piece of fuse wire to become an oxy hose. The visor is drawn with a Gundam marker. And if you're wondering where the MiG-1.44 went, just don't paint lacquer over half-dried enamel... As far as the pilot goes you'll just have to take my word for it that in 'the flesh' it looks like an oxy mask and not an elephant trunk! Here's progress on one of the 1/100 kits. I added some antennas to the jet and a RWR or something like that to the tail. Only later did I see pics with a different dorsal antenna setup with two side-by-side...! I'm still happy because my goal was to try scratchbuilding a little extra detail, and not count rivets.
  11. Wow! With those figures you could make such a cool deep space dio on the deck of the Prometheus. I think I'll buy a set and use with a destroid dio. Thanks for the link jipe.
  12. Thanks MT! I have a family member who is into model railways - he might even have a few around...! N gauge is close to 1/100, right?
  13. Do you have an item number please? I browsed HLJ but only found 1/35 armour accessories. Thanks!
  14. I gotta saw "Wow!" as well. Nice decals!
  15. I'm actually building an old Arii 1/100 VF-1A and VF-1D. No pilots in those kits. The Bandai variable 1/100 came with a pilot, but I didn't plan that far ahead and the pilot is sitting in the cockpit of my avatar. Thanks though. I have a PM from Valkyrie and he mentioned the pilots in the 1/100 Supersylph. Happy days.
  16. I have a stack of 1/100 figures made for model railways, and may end up having to modify a few of those guys into pilot figures.... buuuuut here's hoping for an off-the-shelf solution
  17. I've googled a bit and crawled through HLJ but nothing seen so far. Does anyone know where I could find 1/100 pilot figures without having to buy a whole kit? I was hoping for something like the Hasegawa/Italeri aircrew sets but found nothing in 1/100. Any pointers would be great please! But no, I'm not patient enough to order particular sprues from Bandai or anything like that. Thanks guys Mark
  18. Noted. Thanks! It's strange they aren't even listed as "Out of Stock", they are just gone.
  19. In post #14: Those pictures are very cool; the top one looks like a 'green screen' backdrop for a VF-4 mockup in a film studio The original filming of Flashback 2012!
  20. Do you guys know what happened to the Moscato Regult's SSM was offering a few weeks ago? Suddenly they're not in the store anymore...!?
