  1. damn. sorry to hear that's how the chips fell. It's pretty much what I was expecting, but was still holding out hope. They don't even have any official overseas presence, so I get it. I can't guarantee anything, but if you'd like to mail me the part, I could try to see if I can make a 3d print of it
  2. has anyone picked this up yet? doesn't look great, but still... curious.
  3. Huh? Assuming you're in the US, you can preorder easily. BBTS and Tamashii Nations official amazon store offers them. Now whether or not you're willing to deal with US markups and waiting for ocean freight, that's another story
  4. Sorry for the off topic, but if anyone does find a way to access Arcadia's website from outside Japan, please lemme know. I've tried two major VPN providers, proxying through a vps I have IN Japan, and even location spoofing from my phone. Haven't had ANY success EDIT: Nevermind, finally found a solution. Had to use a proxy service guaranteeing residential IP addresses from Japan. The known working one for me was https://decodo.com/
  5. oh, i meant i have a mental problem for loving it anyway. Case in point, i'm STILL tempted to get the yamato next time i have a chance, even against everyone's very clear warnings about the flaws. hahaha
  6. Picked up a new DX YF-21 locally thanks to fred over on Macross Fan Central (Fred rocks!) Man, why didn't anyone tell me it sucks so much? Fighter proportions all wrong, bad panel gaps, weird legs, out of scale sculpt, etc haha, who am i kidding. it's got big flaws, but still love it anyway. I'm pretty sure that's a psychological disorder isn't it?
  7. Thanks for the fair summary. That matches what I was expecting. The flaws for YF-21s don't really make it seem worthwhile compared to other 1/60 toys. Therefore, I adjust my conclusion: does anyone wanna sell me theirs at or below $200 shipped? 😄😄😄
  8. WOW, a lot of great responses. This is a really helpful summary; I didn't really know what to expect, but makes sense that there would be such great detailed impressions on mwf. Thanks everyone! As expected, no right or wrong answer here. Really depends on the individual. I'm guessing I'm like most collectors where both whooshing and fighter display take slightly higher priority. Too bad those two requirements seem to be at odds in this case. (Check that, I guess the only right answer is to get both, hahahahahaha)
  9. For anyone who owns both the yamato and bandai YF-21: can you offer any opinions on which is the best 1/60 YF-21? I know @jenius wrote in his reviews that the yamato is the overall better choice, but he also pointed out that gerwalk and battroid mode needs a stand which seems like a significant flaw. Any second opinions? Thanks!
  10. Thanks! Just wanted to demonstrate the pose-ability of the threezero. The waist rotation and knee flexibility give a lot of interesting dynamic options compared to other VF-1Xs, especially in battroid mode. I like the sculpt of the DX and arcadias, but i'm not sure my arcadias could achieve these same poses.
  11. Here's some threezero VF-1S appreciation photos. Enjoy 😀
  12. Thanks! Yeah, I'll likely purchase from there The 2013 super pack is gloss finish while the 2024 ozma is matte finish, is that right?
  13. Sorry if this has been brought up before: I'm planning on getting a revival ozma but I'm not a fan of the armored look, so I'm looking for some super parts. Am I correct to assume the best/only super parts set is the old renewal pack from 2013? Thanks!
  14. Here are a couple of my threezero poses with banked/angled setups in fighter and battroid. As expected, the gokin stand finally unlocks more interesting displays. I'm not the biggest fan of the gravity-held factory threezero adapter design but it works. As a test, I included a sample with an extreme near 90* bank, but I really wouldn't trust it to hold. Probably the most extreme safe fighter bank angle would be 30* or 45*.
