  1. Hi gang, it's been long time since I've posted here. I have a kind of spotty memory, so I've got some questions about things in Macross Plus I might have forgotten. What exactly did Guld do to Myung before the trio went their separate ways? I remember in the flash back Guld attacks Myung and rips her shirt off, is there any more to that or is that it? I ask because some website said he rapes her, I don't remember them mentioning that, it would cast a very dark shadow on what I thought was a sympathetic character.

Also, I don't want to stir up a hornet's nest but does the story ever answer who was the better pilot? I watched the OVA, I think there was a fight in the city, Isamu was winning until Guld does something off screen which sends Isamu to the hospital (I think). There was also the fight in Macross city, which kind of ended in a draw. Am I missing anything?

    Thanks for reading

I always felt he didn't rape her at all. It looks like he went into a jealous rage from seeing Myung preferring Isamu over him, and then made it out that it was all Isamu's fault.

  2. Even Agrama will have to eventually wonder wtf is going on when contemporary kids shows have had fully produced TV series in less time than the Shadow Squad take to put together a power point presentation about why they haven't done anything yet.

Note: I have now dubbed Yun & gang "The Shadow Squad." I have dubbed them so because I imagine they spend their days going on adventures looking for monsters, and exclaiming "wolfman's got nards" & "mummy lives in my room."

Someone's been watching Monster Squad reccently.

  3. Ha,I can't even play MTF at the moment. My son is occupying the PSP playing the new Star Wars The Clone Wars Lego game that was released a few days ago.

    Graham

Time to get another one.

I'm still soo addicted to this game.

  4. This game is really helping to further my hatred of Macross II. I was able to beat all the other regular missions without having to upgrade my fighter until I got to the 5th and 6th missions of Macross II. What's worse is that the 6th mission is only medium difficulty, but I still can't seem to beat it.

I'v been frustrated with the Macross II extra mission, where you fight Ingues. Still can't SS it, and it's the only one I need a SS on.

  5. I SSed it. I received no damage, if I remember correctly.

Yeah..... Did that to, no dice. So far I have SS'ed every mission in the game, except that one. Any other info you can give?

  6. New password out:

    EXTRA MISSON

    Rainbow-colored [rondo

    YMSWV

Anyone managed to SS the one Lord Emperor Ingues fortress Extra mission? I seem to be stuck at S for both of them.

'Am having trouble with that one too. I SS all the extra mission except that one. I beat it fast, slow, melee and still can only get a S.

  7. This is more of a marketing and technical issue than a licensing issue. Right now, there isn't a real push to get older titles out on Blu-Ray. Upscaling the video for HD might make it look worst unless you want to spend money on clean-up. It may eventually come out on Blu-ray but as I said, there's no real push to do so.

In other words, don't get my hopes up. <_<

  8. I'd wager a fair bit of the disparity there is the plot armor that Gamlin and company brought with them when they boarded the VF-17's, since the VF-171 spends most of the series as the exclusive domain of the unnamed grunts who don't enjoy protection-by-plot. Tossing them an upgrade and a named character pilot improves their lot in the series considerably.

Uh... well, I don't believe the VF-171 uses the "Stage II" reaction engines, it's using a normal pair of FF-2110's rated at 45,469kgf to the VF-17's 55,000kgf FF-2100's, though it seems that the disparity is more downtuning than an actual reduction in design limits, since that'd reduce wear on the engine and reduce the maintenance costs needed to keep it in service.

Exactly how the "Stage II" reaction engines used on the YF-24/VF-25/VF-27 differ from the reaction engines used by other planes, I honestly have no idea. Given some of the attributes ascribed to the planes that use them, I can only assume they provide greater thrust and better power generation characteristics, since the above-mentioned VFs all have enormous thrust-to-weight ratios and can even operate their energy converting armor (and in the VF-27's case, its pinpoint barrier) in fighter mode in a limited fashion.

Thanks again for the answers Seto. ^_^

  9. Thank you Seto. I was just curious. To me the newer VF-171 look like they underperformed in most of MF compared to the VF-17 from M7.But too, I guess it has alot to do with the story. And speaking of engines. Whats the difference between the older thermo engines and the newer ones (are they called stage 2?)?

  10. I was wondering. Since the VF-171 is an improvment over the old VF-17 Nightmare. And the VF-171 is also more simplefied to allow lesser skilled pilots to fly it compared to the VF-17. Do these improvments make it better then original VF-17, which only very skilled pilots could fly? From what I saw in MF, the VF-171 were nothing more then cannon fodder, and I couldn't help but think the original VF-17, although outdated by the newer improved VF-171, would have fared much better. I would also think pilot performance would count too. So, persay; if someone like Gamlin were piloting a VF-171. Would it's performance exceed that of old VF-17?

  11. Everything seems fine. The whole Kanto region is having rolling blackouts for a while, but they haven't hit my area so far.

The trains are running sporadically today, and a lot of shops are closed. It's also nearly impossible to find any canned food anywhere...the convenience stores are picked clean.

Are you well stocked on food and water? Or anyone else for that matter. It looks bad from the news reports I'v seen on the shortage of supplies.

  12. Nearly all of my housemates are leaving...some back home to Italy or France, one to Shizuoka, one to Australia...

If there's more bad news I might book a flight to Taipei...

Overall, how is it in your part Gubaba? And do what you got to do to be safe.

  13. The containment building's roof blew, injuring some workers. it has just been confirmed that the inside has not been ruptured and no radiation is leaking. just in case neighbouring areas are evacuating.

Thats somewhat good news. I hope there able to get the cooling system running.

  14. It was probably the worst earthquake I've ever been through...it felt much bigger than the '94 Northridge quake. But overall, no damage in my part of Tokyo, although some of my housemates had to walk back from Shibuya, which is kind of a long trek, and my date in Yokohama ended up getting postponed.

I'm just saying thank god all of you are okay. :(

  15. Such is my life...

I had unlocked almost everything, bought everything from the store and was in the process of unlocking pictures from the academy mode. One night, while deleting unwanted saves from other games I had recently played, I killed my MTF save... Now I have to do it all again...

    DERP DERP DERP...

You should always back up on you pc. I learned the hard way when my MUF save file corrupted. -_-
