No I havent.... Give me a moment......Hmmmm... It took two tries, and me gabbing a zeiss wipe to clean it, to get 2.2 load. Same with Robot Chicken.....For some reason, when I use a moist zeiss wipe and clean the disc (even if it's already clean), it loads.... While 'am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth. I'll take what I get, and I already plan on buying a new slim model and a 1 or 2 TB hd drive, if I can find one thats a internal 2.5.

Well my PS3 seems to be working fine after cleaning it and defragging the HD. Many many thanks to everyone for the all the help. It was greatly appreciated. As bonus, I got a PSN $10.00 credit to my account, via my messages.

I have, but it takes too long to read when I plug it in the PS3. Plus the PS3 wont recognize a USB 3.0 external I got. So far after deleting and trasfering I'm up to 104gb of free space....



lol, only having 29 gigs left "may" have something to do with your issue as well, but try that first. Probably won't take as long as you think, but you still may want to trim out any fat you don't need.

But I like having Doctor Who, SDF Macross,DYRL,FB,M7,Mplus,Zero, Frontier,MII, Infinite Stratos and isekai no seikishi monogatari on my ps3 to watch whenever I want!

There should be two data folders in the video tab, one saves BDLive & bookmark stuff, the other has who know's what in it. I'd clear out both. As for defragmenting your HDD, you have to go into diagnostic mode in order to do this. Be careful. do "not" choose the option to reformat your HDD.

Well I'll do that on saturday night, since I'am off work on sunday, and I have a 500gb hd in my system with only 29 gb free space space. Sooooo....I think it's going to be a all-nighter.

Hmm...Just google'd that and learned about the folder. I wonder if this online stuff could be interfering with the movies. I've noticed that newer blu's, including Fast 5, Thor, etc. seem to tout online interactivity during playback...

While after I deleted it, I switched over in my settings, to have my PS3 ask if I want to allow online connectivity.

Well I thinks it called bluray utlity folder. Where it save info from the disc.As for defrag......

Only thing I can suggest is first delete all your saved bluray data, and then try defragging your system.

On my PS3 the system will freeze at the same spot on any blu ray from 2011. For example, Inception was the last blu-ray I bought in 2010 (I think), and it plays through no problem; all older blu ray's and standard dvd's also play with no issue. However, when it comes to blu rays like Fast 5, Thor, Bridesmaids, Lion King, or any blu ray's released in 2011 my system will freeze at the same spot in the movie during playback. From what I've read my optical drive could be going out, but you're the first person I've talked to that's had playback issues with only certain blu ray's. My system's clean, updated and is on for the better part of half a day. I couldn't begin to guess what the issue is. I plan to take it to a local repair shop and pay the $150 or so fee because replacing my fat system is not an option. Keep us updated...

Well it's decided to play nice for now. Since it's reading Robot chicken now. So maybe cleaning it helped. But I'm thinking of buying a new slim and transfering everything over. The thing is, my fatty is not that old. And it's only issue is with certain blurays. I just dont know if the lasers going out, or maybe its the blurays.

Obvious question, but is your firmware up to date? And do you have any read problems playing games/DVD's?

Yes, and it plays games and cds with no problems. Just certain bluray movies. I also notice that when I play downloaded, or go on netflix, the ps3 will get stuck on the black load screen. Other then that, it works normal.

More to the point, are u guys admitting to watching Card Captor Sakura??????

And I was happy Alto finally chooses, but I felt bad for Ranka. If you time it just right you can actually see where her heart breaks. I'm going to go with the tv series ending, and believe Alto went with both. I support a threesome ending.

Man. Does anybody have the same problem with there ps3 that I have? Some blu ray movies play fine, case in point. I just played sayanora no tsubasa fine. The crow, excellent. But now I'm trying to play robot chicken season five, and my ps3 wont read the bluray. Fast five, I have to mess with it to get it to play. I cleaned out my vents with canned air, and vacummed them. I must say it runs quieter now, but it wont recognize robot chicken. This isnt the first time I'v had problems with it. It gave me hell trying to play Evangelion 2.22. I have a fat 120gb model. Does anybody know of any fix for this? Am I the only one having this prob with certain blurays?It's just limited to bluray movies. Games,and cds and psone games work fine. Just certain Bluray movies.

I loved the movie. Yeah some things just don't click with me. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like the lovely bomber concert. The fake out deaths, and come on. The Macross Quarter surfing and Isamu making a cameo..How could you not love this movie in the end!? Speaking of the ends, is Alto forever gone? Or is it like some people have been saying that he "comes back" when Sheryl starts singing in her coma and here earring sparkles? As for the YF-29. I though it was a pretty cool Valk for plot purpose, but overall...eh. I'd still take the VF-25 or if it was possible Isamu VF-19 or a VF-22.

Any Video Converter is okay to a limit, as it doesn't include all the fancy stuff the subbers have on their MKVs. To encode the vid as seen on the MKV, I'm afraid you'll have to take the hard way by using several tools... unless you pick up Handbrake.

For now, I'll wait for the low-res version..

Does any one know a good video converter that I can use to encode the subtitles? The converter I use just outputs plan fronts, with no text shadow, so it gets hard to read the subs.
