  1. I wouldn't blanket them all, I talk to one quite a bit online, he's pretty sane I would say. We have our disagreements, he doesn't like what HG has done with RT over the last few years either It's just not us "lying macross purists" that aren't happy with the way things are.

    Hence, the "not all". ;)

  2. Hmmm, this brings up a good topic. I've heard from two or three RT fans that Macross has been copying Robotech. The proposed evidence is:

-Ariel/Marlene was one of the good, green blooded aliens, so is Ranka??? I didn't get that one, since Ranka is neither an alien, nor green blooded

-Macross copied the rpg book Lancer's Rockers (Hahaha  ) Because Lancer and his rocker guy fight aliens w/ music weapons, and Basara fights the aliens w/ music. After this, I stopped trying to argue with the guy at this point. It was just too dumb to even try.

-Frontier copied Shadow Chronicles and New Generation, because the aliens are bug like, and have green blood

I don't remember the rest of them, they were really way off base, but maybe someone here can fill me in. And no, I'm not going to point fingers and call the persons names, I was just wondering if anybody here has encountered these claims before. I think taking a small detail of a story doesn't mean they are copying the entire series, or necessarily even that description. There's lots of movies that have evolved, and some are just coincidental, especially considering the two universes of Robotech and Macross are pretty similar.

I'v come to the conclusion, most RT fans(not all)are mentally ill.

  3. I honestly don't remember how I found it, but once I saw Kakizaki, I favorited it.

There's a lot of stuff among my favorites like that, that I just came across randomly and didn't want to forget. Others include a Finnish hip-hop performance, a hair stylist doing a "how to" video even though she can barely read the teleprompter, and a Korean bank commercial featuring a song that goes "Give me your banana, I want to taste your banana."

I no longer have any clue how I found any of these.

I'v come to the conclusion. It's all about boobs with you. ;)

  4. You've gotta balance speed with patience. Don't take out the capitol ships irght away, you have to take out the small fry first. Then don't take out Ingus right away, attack him in small bursts until new enemies pop up, take them out, then proceed with attacking him in small bursts.

Still no luck. I will keep on trying with that strategy. Thanks for the help Keith.

  5. I just listened to this and I finally see what you mean. It is pretty bad, sound-wise, so you have to shift the volume every so often.

But of course we are still finding our legs, and any small amount of feedback will really benefit the end product, so please let us hear what you think! Is there anything you guys want us to do?

EDIT - Yeah, I am loud, apparently. I think I've subconsciously got my "lecture" voice on for most of the time, only sometimes slipping into normal conversational voice. :p I'll work on it.

I'm listening to it right now, and it sound good to me Renato. :) Love it so far. When will you guys be doing another one? B))

  6. Only other thing I can reccomend, is that you make sure you let the initial menu's load totally without skipping them. Or if that doesn't work, try skipping them. Does any of the bonus content play without issue?

When I put the disc in, my PS3 tries to read it, but it just spins ans stops, and doesnt load. I have to eject and load, eject ,load, eject load, before the PS3 finly reads it and put it icon on the XMB bar for me to choose it. The extras play fine so far, just the movie skips. However after cleaning the laser though, the disc no longer skips when playing. But the disc makes a loud whillring noise, and the laser clicks to, before it starts to play it.

  7. I'd contact funimation directly before doing that, or in addition to. If it's a bad batch in your area, they should be able to replace it easily.

I dont think it's a bad batch. I got a 3rd copy from Amazon, and guess what? Same thing. ::sigh:: -_-

But, hell. Lets contact Funimation anyways. B))

  8. Don't suppose there's anything improved about that FX version. Perhaps a rip of the mor recent HD remaster?

Keep dreaming for a HD remaster. It looks about the same as the Laserdisc to DVD bootleg rip thats out there, imho. The audio drops here and there(more so at the end when Minmay sings Angel's Paint. For the subs....I'll be honest. Too me the subtitles are okay. Translation wise, they are close to the english dialogue spoken. But there kinda ugly. White and hard to read in some areas. It also has spanish subs too. I'll post some screen caps from the dvd.

  9. It was never released on DVD, not even the bootleg DVD's have the English dub.

But it was officially released here in the USA on VHS. The Japanese subtitles were even removed, so it's a clean video.

The english dub is now on the bootleg fx version of DYRL perfect edition. I know for a fact, because I bought one 2 weeks ago and watched it. "The females must not penetrate!"
