  1. Didn't we already have prototype pics of the Defender when the Tomahawk was released? Why aren't we drooling over pics of whichever Destroid is next in line then?!
  2. Idea!! Hey Graham, can you close the thread partially and only allow members to vote but not to comment?
  3. I keed I keed. How come MW has over 8000 members and only 127 of them voted in my poll? Graham, Is there any way for the forum to automatically send an e-mail to each member telling them to vote? We might be able to answer one the most important questions mankind has ever ventured to find the answer to. I mean it's right up there with "What's the meaning of life, Why aren't bananas straight, Would women leave a slimy trail if they had no legs" don't you think?
  4. We're walking a fine line here with the boobs vs ass discussion so we might want to put an occasional "All Yamato fanboys must die!!" in there somewehere.
  5. It's a poll, so it's about choices. If I would've included an option for "both", everybody would've chosen that. Like I said, there's no middel ground, unless you've got some belly button fettish. Oy yeah, about the toy; I chose no and none. It looks too much like a kids toy and I preffer my "collectables" to look as much like the line art as possible. If that means that I have to be very carefull when handling it, fine. Yamato makes models that you don't need to glue/click together and that can transform. Perfect for people like me who want an accurate representation of the VF, don't play with their toys and have no modelling skills. You shouldn't give it to a kid expecting it to survive. You wanna give your kid a Macross toy, give it a chuncky. Bandai tried to compromise between accuracy and playabillity and now no-one's happy.
  6. You like the chest area in the end? That would just look weird IMO.
  7. BTW: No need to discuss the toy here, just answer the damn questions.
  8. From reading the Official Bandai 1/60 Scale DX Toy Thread Ver.3 thread, it seems like you either love it or hate it. Good old Macross World, where there's no middle ground. So, like the title says, are you a fanboy or a hater? oh yeah, about the third poll option; The forum allows three questions and I didn't want to waste any so I guessed I might as well try and answer one of the more important questions in life while I'm at it.
  9. 1/60 VF-1A Hikaru v2 allready on sale at HLJ. link
  10. Damn! That thing is looking sweeeet! With the going excange rates, this thing is just ridiculously expensive.
  11. Nice! I think it would've looked better if the white parts were the same color as the VF-0 bust that's just my opinion. Great idea!
  12. Anyone else notice the little orange piece just in front of the canopy? Must be a part of the heatshield, maybe the entire heatshield isn't stored in the nosecone but part of it is.
  13. My OD Tomahawk and Defender just shipped! HLJ even put them in ONE package. Never seen 'em do that before.
  14. LOL! Has a nice christmas theme to it too.
  15. The X-1 did the exact same thing as this guy. It dropped from a plane, flew, ran out of fuel and landed. What's so different with this guy, the fact that the X-1 went up under its own power before going full speed? Watch . The guy himself says he can go left, right, up and down. You even see him going up. I'd say that is flight. It's limited, but it's still flight.
  16. Anyone know what the Sv in Sv-51 stands for? VF means Variable Fighter but what the heck does Sv mean?
  17. Again, those are planes with a fuselage to attach an undercarriage to, not a guy with wings and jets strapped to his back. Even if he was crazy enough to put on some rollerskates and try to gain enough speed for take off, he'd probably break his ankles before getting airborne. Which would make for a pretty painfull landing. Remember the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter? Once it lost thust, it dropped out of the sky like a brick because the wings did not provide enough lift to glide. He lands using a parachute because he'd be going too fast for his legs to support the landing. He doesn't have an undercarriage remember? So he fell across the English Channel, and he fell over the Alps?
  18. You think his legs would be able to keep up with the speed he'd be going to get airborne? If he would launch from the ground he would need an undercarriage which would mean he'd need a fuselage which would mean he'd be flying a plane. Without undercarriage, a normal jet can't get airborne either, only rockets can do that. Yes it is. He stays airborne untill the jets run out of fuel at which point he parachutes down.
  19. What's a Quadrono? Do you mean a Q-Rau? With "live action project", do you mean the live action Robotech project? Are you Toby Maguire? Oh. My. God. You're Toby Maguire aren't you? That's so kewl! Hi Toby, love you're work. You did an excellent job in the Lord of the Ring movies. No wait, that wasn't you was it? Loved your work in Sin City. Ah shoot, that was the other guy too wasn't it? Well anyway, good luck with the Robotech movie, hope it works out for ya! Just kidding around Szpectre, welcome to MW. Can't help you with the Quadrono though, sorry. ::EDIT:: By Quadrono, do you mean this thing?
  20. Yep, avaibale only from a couple of Japanese sites IIRC.
