Indeed it is. I've seen this clip a billion times and I still dont understand how he got the pilot out of the pod. They need more animation frames for that sequence. That is why I have little interest for TV hero valks. I was exposed to DYRL first and didnt see the tv show until years later and even then it was robotech. The animation didnt exactly wow me.

I got notification from mandrake that one of my orders shipped. However I'm not sure if that's accurate unless they changed my order from SAL to EMS. We will see soon enough. The email said it was SAL.

But we saw hikaru 1A at the beginning of DYRL. Yes with fast packs but still. Actually, unless I'm mistaken, max's 1A was only shown for like five seconds...but I dont like duplicate reskins. So the 1S max is what I'm hoping for.

That's rough man. I suppose the fast packs and missile pack preorder will be delayed as well for the 1/48. That's fine I cant exactly pose ordinance anyways.

I got an email from mandarake stating that all shipments including EMS are delayed by several weeks. They told me that if I don't get granted an export license they would refund me. I'm cool with that. It took me 16 years to rediscover this hobby. What's another month or so.

Interesting...given the state of the medical system in the US, it would not surprise me if the schools remained closed over here for the rest of the year. Covid is not going anywhere. It is now a permanent addition to the list of diseases. The best case scenario is a vaccine is developed much like the MMR or pneumococcal we give to infants. But even if a vaccine were to be found today it would be a year at least before sufficient quantities could be made for the US. The elephant in the room at doctor's meetings is what would happen if it were to mutate before the vaccine is created. There is preliminary research that it could have gone airborne already and in my taskforce meeting today they projected a death toll of around 200,000 in the US.

I love the colors but I wish they would have given them a special insignia. I mean, they are guarding the UN Spacy headquarters and the grand cannon.

Thanks for the info. No worries, I'm always polite and so was my email. I'm hoping they will allow me to choose another shipping method. All of my purchases from them already went through to shipping. But they were all SAL so they will be sent back to them.

Good to know. Dont get me wrong. I'd rather have the valks than the refund. However this is it for purchases. It's time to stop spending and settle in for the long haul.

I got my HMR from mandarake and sent them an email. If they refuse to refund me and wont ship then it's time to talk to my bank.

I wonder if reduced manufacturing due to covid will curtail the number of kakizaki made and make it the rarest dx of all. It's not a popular model. I can see them cutting production short.

I hope so. The pdf said that all accepted packages but not shipped would be returned to sender. So the question, how do you guys think the japanese people are likely to react to this situation. Places like mandarake. Will they hold packages, offer other shipping methods, offer refunds, or just say screw international customers.

There is a critical shortage of PPE in my area. All non urgent appts and services have been canceled including labs, MRI, Xrays. No new patients accepted so if you happen to be one of those people who waited to find a primary care physician and now you need one you are SOL. Urgent care clinics have been turned into respiratory units. Even labor and delivery floors have been closed and converted to covid wards. All OB patients have been routed to only one hospital. Anyone who thinks this will blow over in a couple of weeks is sadly mistaken.

Masks wont do much good against you getting corona. The virus will just go into any open crevices around your face. It is more effective at keeping infected people from coughing the disease into the air. Although if someone has the cough they should just stay at home period.

I work in healthcare. Current outlook is a year at least before things start to improve in the US.

The only way I would get another 1/48 is if it came bundled with GBP armor and they never sold it separately. Or if they came out with an obscure version such as the Alaska Guards. If there was a mecha that was shown for 10 seconds or less I must have it. I would love a 1/48 Cats Eye

That looks so good...but if I get two left armors it ruins it. Hmm, I just cant throw away over a hundred dollars like that.

I dont have the space for multiple 1/48. The HMR....might cause a problem. Although I already have most of the ones I would like. I really just need fast pack for that line and I can live with the Fext Armor. Does FEXT stands work with the adapters that come with HMR? Is there FEXT stand for 1/48?

Ok. So I'll pass on M&M. Hikaru seems to be a gamble then. Maybe I'll wait till the next HMR Super. Probably a Max since kakikazi was released for DX

Just curious, does the vf-1j max have the same loose head laser issue that the millia does? How common was the fast pack left leg issue on the hikaru vf-1 super? Did bandai offer to replace it if it came with two left leg armors? I'm loving this HMR line. I dont care if its perfect transformation or not. I just don't want parts popping off or breaking and I want the modes to look good.

I'd just as soon not let my wife know how much I spent on toys lol. At least we reenter the hobby when Quality of the toys is higher.

Lol yes. I realized after watching your vids that I'm not in college and I make money now. I only plan to purchase one bandai dx and that's it I'm done. So I decided to go all out and preordered the fast packs and missiles pack (F*$ck you bandai)...unless they release the GBP armor. I'll need that as well. For HMR I got the super ostrich, vf-1D, vf-4G and elint...but then I watched your destroid vid so I felt compelled to get a defender. So at least a grand thanks to you lol. Bandai should owe you something. I dont do repeats or reskin so I'm good unless there is an HMR Dragon 2, Cats Eye, or Comanchero. Like I said I love obscure aircraft and mecha. Even the mighty Mom's Kitchen deserves a release. I'd be all over that
