  1. Keep all of your receipts. Online or otherwise. Add in the costs for :cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, tape, gas to get to post office. Time for labor. Sell for what you paid. Don't forget to add in the cost for listing the items in ebay.

87k new IRS agents starting this year. It isn't to target wealthy Bitcoin scammers who walk away with millions, it's for you. It's funny how when this happens in another country we can discuss that countries corruption. But hey....

Make them have to work for the theft.

As noted watch this board for preorders. To know when to watch this board I suggest turning on email notifications for the threads you're interested in here.

When a lot of email activity happens you will know its time to check in here.

This is what I do as well. And I found that Yahoo ( i know its dated) has been the fastest response from when someone posts here to when I receive the email.

As it's still orderable for me, this confirms that limit is one and if you're logged in, you'll see sold out. :)

Good catch!!! Didn't even think about that.

I was not expecting this release. Been away and just trolling chats lately. But I'm happy about it as I was worried about the DX 1/48 line.

^^It probably will “go” (break off) when going between bike mode and armor mode!

If its made by Moshow, that may not be the case. Their releases are solid. Some of their most recent figures are bangers. Now if we have the option to remove them I may be in for one as I missed the previous Sentinel releases.

you can joint their free 30 day trial Tom premium subscription to get some extra discount off the price. You can cancel the subscription anytime.    Also payment is upfront .

Thanks @F360. Never shopped here, but was reasonable price and will probably drop any premium. Not before using points though.

  6. I went as far as purchase and stated is 218.00. I assume that's before the shipping costs. But that's what the total was for the item.

Edit: I ordered it from AE, paid (PayPal receipt and deduction from account shows it as such) , but now (for the first time in my experience) it doesn't show any item ordered, or in the ready to pay shipping or shipped tab. Ticket sent. I have had great experiences with AE on all my other purchases so I assume it will get sorted.

Does anyone know if this applies to the sum of all sales across different platforms?

Example: I sell $400 worth of goods on eBay then $201 on Mercari. The sum is $601 across the the two on a single PayPal account.

I would assume that if Venmo, Paypal and whatever the others are included on the 1099 form as PayPal and Venmo are, then yes.

i think i'm just going to go back to F & F only, this is too complicated. I'm going to take all pics with my username and date referencing macross sales thread post to alleviate any fear of hacker scams.

that will make it much easier for sure. The issue is, despite the vast majority of people here being good nurtured and honest, we have had a few recently that exploited that good will. I would prefer F&F but also have to understand those who may be hesitant.

  9. So I have found this article to be somewhat helpful: https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/061715/how-are-collectibles-taxed.asp

Your profits are taxed. So if you purchase a figure for 300 and sell it for 325, the IRS will take their percentage of that 25.

Also I think a very smart approach would be to keep digital receipt copies of all items purchased. I have spent the last few days going through everything I have purchased since getting back into collecting the last 5 years. I have almost all of them. I did this mainly because I am contemplating selling all of it, and even for a loss as my interests in life are starting to head into a different direction where I don't have the disposable income I had a year and half ago.

And part of the fun has been to collect it and find the items. I am confident that if I am able to go "Ham" again on collecting, Macross World and Mandrake will still be my go to spots.

I will make sure that when I fill out the 1099 to include every last receipt to make them do some work on finding which items are on what page. Least I could do in kind I guess.

Yea, unfortunately I fell for it and got hit for quite a bit.  I also thought it was too good to be true but fomo'd and made some poor decisions.

Here is the information that I have:

paypal id that wasn't working:  mbeta957@gmail.com

    zelle id: smilinghard.ct@gmail.com

Hopefully nobody else but me got hit.

Man I am so sorry @sumyumgoy. I have been just not buying much lately as I have been dedicated on getting as much debt except  my monthly mortgage taken care of. @vladykins Thank you for the heads up.

  11. I have heard very similar @sqidd. Just gets exhausting doing the right thing and getting more and more of the income I earn taxed to oblivion. And new ways to punish those who have most likely already paid tax on purchases, also being taxed now on the back end if they decide to sell it, not under F&F.

  12. The fact that the Fed is initiating a "Task Force" to establish taxation regulations is enough info for me to know that they see it as a direct threat to the monetary system that exists. They seem to think its real enough for certain. Now, in regards to its longevity, it is uncertain for sure. If the Fed is successful on taxing it to oblivion, then its long term viability is definitely in question.
