It is a graphite pen technically... Some call them mechanical pencils. I still use old school terminology: lead pen. LOL The box says, "Automatic Pencil." HA HA HA!

Never had any problem with leaching and pencil lead. Test it on a spare part.

Hobby Lobby is now offering a 0.3 mm Lead Pen. Previously the smallest I could ever find was a 0.5 mm Lead Pen. So for those of you detailing Valks be sure to check this thing out. It's the perfect size!!!!!

Nah, don't want to spend the money on a poseable just for hands... Will just hope Toynami gets me a replacement--or that someone here makes some. Now if anyone happened to have a Super Poseable lying around broken... I might be interested in that...

My Alpha Masterpiece of #$@$ arrived in the mail with a broken right hand hinge. The plastic is really thin there and it had a fracture in it. The hand won't hold the gunpod now. Needless to say I am *PISSED*. Does anyone make a recast of this similar to the "Animation-Style" hands for the VF-1? I need one in the worst way. Many thanks.

I love TFF. A sincere thanks for the polite response. Chas, you don't know how right you are. I guess some people managed to let it zoom over their heads, but a very well-thought-out post. *salute* *Trying to decide whether or not to put a particular "goderator" on my ignore list...assuming it can be done.* Edit In: NOPE!! Can't be done. D*MN. To think that I had a rise in my level of respect for the guy until I realized that instead of deleting the posts in question and letting it go he moved it elsewhere to stir the stink a little more. Guess anyone can be a mod around here...

An excellent example of less being more. That is a pretty good job right there. I much prefer that to a Valk that looks like it got dumped in a landfill.

Pencil. You can smear it around to give you the effect you want and wash it off if you screw up. 99% of panel lining is over done. Very few are actually real-world accurate. The Marine Valk I did a looooooong time ago was the closest I have come in the Valk world to accurate. But it's the nature of the beast. The panel lines in the 1/55 and 1/48 are so deep that its tough to get them just right without a lot of work. The water-based wash would probably do wonders for you. Just remember... With panel lines, LESS is more.

Ignoring the current internal inconsistency among moderators it took you guys an eternity to decide it was in the wrong place (in the case of this thread, 10+ months, and in the case of the numerous other 1/55 mod threads currently in TOYS it took you the entire time I have been a member of MacrossWorld--THREE *YEARS* and two months--yet the latter are still over there!!!!!!!!!!). That's your failure not mine. That being said, if this forum section remains permanent then I consider the change a nice one. But so long as Roy has his little threat of removal (and instructions to post elsewhere) nicely thumbtacked to the top of the forum don't expect us to applaud.
