I haven't tried it myself, but others have said the chest armour doesn't quite sit right. The fold carbon is larger than the crystal on the hero variants, for one thing. Nope, that was a separate purchase. If you bought the movie version, then it includes the clips for the Lil Drakens, but not the Lil Drakens themselves.

These specific things match my experience too, though I still want to try fiddling with it a bit more to see if I can get the legs flush. That's right, just the figure with no packs from ShowZ.

Mine arrived today, so here's my little mini-review. The "Bad" section will be longer but only because I want to be specific on the differences vs a 1P figure: The Good: Everything's complete and intact. No major blemishes, just a few small scuffs. Nothing is loose or floppy. It comes with more tampo than my 30th anni VF-1J. Everything transforms properly. I don't know whether modern Arcadia releases are coming with the cool neck/side covers, but it's a nice upgrade over my existing PT figure. The Bad: Tolerances are all over the place. I've seen photos of the back pack hinge breaking on the first attempt, and I thought mine was going to as well, but it eventually gave. Also the tabs that hold the chest and back together in F/G mode had some sprue junk on them, took a lot of force to transform but I suspect that will be easier now the junk's gone. I also had to take the left shin apart because there was some junk stopping the foot from getting past the detent, some light filing sorted that. If the nose wheel turns, I don't want to twist it as hard as it needs. It doesn't seem as though the intake covers come off, but maybe I just didn't put enough effort into it. If anyone gets to the intakes, let me know! The Ugly: Mine was incredibly gappy over the hips in F mode when I took it out of the box. I haven't transformed it back yet so maybe it just needed some play. I'll take a photo if it's still the same when I put it back in F. Conclusion: For the price you pay (£100 for me all-in), this is really great value. Absolutely worth it for custom work, or if you feel as though you're missing a VF without wanting to pay Arcadia prices. I'd probably buy another if I saw one for Max, just so I could pair it with my V1 Milia. Some people have been asking whether these are QA rejects, but based on the tolerances I'd guess that this run came from molds that were already spent by Arcadia standards. I'll take some photos at some point.

Just curious: the 1S on Showz is shown with DYRL hands, but my 30th anni 1J came with Mickey Mouse hands. Do modern Arcadia releases generally come with DYRL hands?

I think I might pick one of these up. That's a better price than I paid for a Yamato v1 VF-1.

I don't think anyone's going to ostracize you for having an opinion. For my part, I like the backpack on the 31, it reminds me of someone carrying a folding bike.

Ah, I wasn't aware there was an event coming up. That does dovetail nicely with the end of the currently announced releases. ermahgerd tell me about it. My initial plan was just to get the 31C and the 31E, to match with my Milias and Luca, but I've ended up buying three other 31s just because I was waiting for the E! Well played, Bandai, now I regret not trying for a Kai. I had also forgotten that they had teased the AP at the same time as the Drakens, that's nice to know. I guess we should expect that before any other VFs or SPs.

I hope Bandai announces something soon, starting to have doubts on the 31A SPs and 31E. Once the 31F w/ clips and Lil Drakens ship, there's nothing queued up for Delta. What are other people's thoughts? This is the first time I've followed a series like this so I've no idea what the pace of releases was for eg. Frontier. Was Delta more popular with the idol fans as opposed to mecha fans in Japan? Maybe they're just taking their sweet time molding all those huge APs? Or could the 31A issues have forced delays in the rest of the series?

I wonder whether maybe Bandai made a snap decision on the 31F reissue and had to pull the moulds from 31A production. The reissue did kinda come out of nowhere. They still haven't announced any movie content besides the Lil Draken clips, so up until then the release schedule was probably decided before the movie finished production. From there, Bandai would have contacted the resellers and asked who wanted eg. a discount on their orders if they were willing to accept a delay.

Why are the Arcadia toys so much more expensive than the old Yamato toys?

Yup, that's about the price I paid for my non-R RVF-25 at around the same time. In fact, if that 25G came from Jungle in Akihabara, they might even be from the same collector's squadron. -

My 31S arrived last week and I've finally had a chance to transform it. Gotta say, whilst I love the design and colouring of the Valk, the finish and QA on mine is worse than my 31A and 31C. There was some debris under the paint on one shoulder edge and some stray paint on the back pack. Also, all the joints seem SUPER stiff. It does look sharp in a black suit, though:
