Anyone know what book this comes from?
I'm interested in that as well. It looks like something I'd want to track down.

Hey wwwmwww! Thanks so much for sharing and WOW nice collection. ...no chance of getting those on a flat bed scanner? Also if you don't mind me asking where did you get them...Very cool.
Hello Odyn,
That set of line art came with the 1/72 Monocraft non-transformable Legioss & Tread seen here:
I see it pop up on eBay every now and then so you might want to keep your eyes open. And yes, I do have a scanner. These pages are bigger then the bed of my scanner but I might be able to scan them a half page at a time. I'll look into it this weekend. PM me if I forget.

He knows a few people who have tried to get garage kit projects off the ground and have been rebuked.
Here is an example. HRG tried to release the kit seen here on the right...
at the 2005 Winter Wonder Festival and they were a no show because they failed to get the kit licensed. This was after they had already released these licensed kits.
which reminds me I still need to track down that VR-41.

However, Star Wars is several orders of magnitude more popular worldwide than Macross is.
How about Speed Racer? That is something more on par with Macross/Robotech in terms of popularity isn't it?

I have been involved with the Lego Ambassador program for the last 5 years.Sounds interesting... may I ask how you got started with that program?

When I PCS'ed I sold most of the legos.
PCS... that is a TLA I'm not familiar with.
Is that your bookcase? Are those your creations?

He called this Transform II
And a few pictures:

NICE!!!!!
Do you know who made those? The VB-6 was made by Gla Gla and he also made a very nice VF-14.
You can see the thumbnails here:

But I can't find most of the larger pic in the archive.
Here is one:
Here is a list of the file names in this set if anyone wants to hunt them down.

Looks like someone had beat me to it. There are a total of 10 images form the Brickshelf archive that I have, let me know if you have them all??
Thank You!!!!!
The 3rd picture you posted above was the last one I was missing. I now have 3 front views, 3 rear views, and 3 views of the transformation. When you say 10 images total I assume you are counting this one:
Correct? Its really just the 3 front views shrunk down into one picture.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

PS: Carl, have you notice the first pic of this topic seems to be an original art of your last line art ( look at red color) ?
No I hadn't noticed that. Thanks! Looks like my copy was made after that piece was riped off the bottom too. So who owns the original? Can we get them to make a nice scan of it? I'd like that image without all the perspective distortion a photo has.
akim, here are a few threads you might want to check out:

Remember D'Stance?

He has these images on his site:
Were these made for VFX2?

For reverse engineering this thing I'm sure many gaps will have to be filled. To do as good a job as possible I'm looking for line art of the Lego König Monster. Here is what I have so far:
I think there may be more. There is a post here:
http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?s=&a...st&p=175924
That talks about a picture that shows how the yellow section on the nose actually swings down, and a ladder unfolds down to the ground. If anyone has that please post.
If you have any other pics from the VFX2 game like this one:
I'd be interested in those as well. I don't need any pics of the Yamato VB-6.
Thanks,
Carl

Here is some line art for you.

found directions yet?
Directions were never made for this and Gla Gla is no where to be found. I've contacted a person that knew him and he dropped out of the lego community a couple years ago and none of the people that knew him in the lego community are still in touch with him. His phone number has changed and I have an email address that he used back in 2005, I believe, and it now just bounces stuff back to me.
I now have every picture of this model that I'm aware of with the possible exception of the newer version of this one.
http://web.archive.org/web/20030505035046/...1.vb6_trns2.jpg
So I'll see what can be done about reverse engineering this model and we may have directions for something very very similiar to Gla Gla's model down the road. It will take some time so be patient.

SRP: 29400 yen = $270
Blue Legioss set will be the only one sold retail everywhere.
Green Legioss set CM's site exclusive only.
Red Legioss set Japan ToyRus exclusive only.
Just a few questions...
(1) What is the official release date for these? Are all these colors coming out at the same time?
(2) Do either CM or Toys-R-Us Japan ship to the USA?
(3) Could someone post a link to CM's site? Is this it:
http://www.amiami.com/shop/ProductInfo/product_id/89435
And it looks like there are two ways to mount the gun. Look at the lower right of this pic:
Not the same as eriku's attachment above.

They are still around. Here is their home page.
They just aren't making Macross kits these days.

no lego builder ever makes instructions, its mostly trial and error, more or less you just wing it.
Agreed the instruction making process usually isn't part of the building process. That is unless you build it with some software program to begin with, which I have seen done. However some builders do go back after they are done and have something they are happy with and make instructions at that point. Granted the builders that I have seen do that typically then start selling those instructions on eBay or something similiar. In this case, I WISH GlaGla had done just that as I would have jumped at the chance to make one of these. That said... I'm 99.9% sure no instructions exist for this model yet. I'll play a roll in changing that if I can.

Given the amount of pictures here, it might be easier to reverse-design this bad boy. There are a lot of good shots that show exactly what pieces were used for the shell, and I'm sure that someone could fake the rest of it. For those who don't have the pieces, MLCAD might be the way to go with it.
Exactly what I was thinking. At the moment I'm on the hunt to locate all the pictures of it that I can. Step 2 will be to try and contact the maker, GlaGla, and see if he'd be willing to offer instructions or maybe sell the original if it still exists. If I had the original I'd do all I could to make 100% accurate instructions. If step two doesn't pan out, for my step 3 I would like to try and reverse engineer this bad boy but I'm not that familiar with the Lego programs that are available so that will take some time. If anyone wants to take a shot at step 3 before I get there PLEASE do. All the pictures I have are already here and if I come across any more they will be here in short order.

I'm sorry guys but that's the best I can do. It looks like you have most of the pictures in this thread.
Thank Bryce. There are a few pictures above that you don't have over at MechaHub yet. Feel free to grab them if you like.
I've now started this thread:
http://outsidethebrick.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=891
So we'll see if they can help. Still waiting on the confirmation e-mail from lugnut.
And if there are any lego fans here that can send an email in Japanese please PM me. I have a few contacts that I could use to send an email in Japanese already but it might help if the person was also up on lego terminology. It's probably not necessary so if I don't hear from someone in the next day or so I'll go though one of my more normal channels. If that lead pans out I'll share the results here.
Thanks,
Carl

I'm pretty sure GlaGla never released instructions for this or most of his other creations. I think the only reason he provided instructions for his armature was because it was the frame for several of his works, and it is rather easy to build.
I think you are correct. But I'd love to contact GlaGla... maybe he could be talked into making instructions for this model. If the model still exists maybe he'd be willing to sell it. If so I'd take a shot at making instructions provided GlaGla didn't object. If nothing else maybe he'd be willing to share more pictures of this wonderful creation. Anyone know why he removed his Brickshelf account?
If you still plan on trying to track this down, you might want to start with mechahub.comI've already emailed Marcus Clancy, their Gallery Administration guy, but so far haven't gotten a reply. I don't see a forum at that site. Do you know anyone in particular at that site that I should check with?
or try digging through http://news.lugnet.com/build/mecha/.Well this post jumped out.
http://news.lugnet.com/build/mecha/?n=14364
So I've now emailed Bryce. I'm now waiting on a confirmation e-mail and I'll try posting an inquary in this mecha section as well. I'm not 100% sure how to do that at the moment but maybe the confirmation e-mail will tell me how to make posts.
I've also signed up over at outsidethebrick.com and I'll probably be posting an inquary in their forums soon.
Thanks,
Carl

find the instructions!!!
Believe me I'd give a very pretty penny for those as well. This model was made by Gla Gla. I'm not sure if that's an individuals name or what but he apparently did post instructions for some of his models. That hunt actually lead me back to MacrossWorld. Here:
http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...mp;#entry361346
Where Jason Leinen (JELEINEN) posted the instruction to the Gla Gla armature. Which I assume are the same as those seen here:
http://mechahub.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4755
If anyone here knows how to contact Gla Gla please let me know.
