  1. Yeah, I think it does. Have to check the box when I get a chance.

Never had housekeepers before but with two kids (who have never lost or broken any of my toys), we really need the help and they do a really good job (too good sometimes) of cleaning. This isn't in a display case but it's in a very clear and open space where it is obviously not a cheap toy on display. They've been told on multiple occasions not to touch the stuff but they don't seem to get it. No company to call because they are independent and I like the cleaning job they do, just can't understand why they can't understand not to touch/f my stuff up. Even if it was in a display case, I have no idea how but one time they managed to lose a part of one of my figures that was in a display case too. They do a real thourough job of losing stuff too because you would think something on a case, even if bumped would still be in the case but no...nowhere to be found. I don't want to change housekeepers but this is infuriating.
  3. Thanks man...near tears again, lol. I just don't get it.

It seems to be just this one spot that is cursed by them. I used to have some Godzilla figures posed there and I would always see the figures posed differently, like they were playing with the figures. No harm but I got nervous and moved those. That same spot is where my 1/48 VF-A Low Vis that I have been wanting to get since it came out lasted all of one day after I finally got it...found it with the head laser broken off. For some reason, I thought there was no way anything could happen this time and both me and my wife thought about it and just figured, nah, no way something could happen again. Well, we were wrong. I guess I'm the idiot for leaving anything there after all these times but how hard can it be to just not touch something? And if you must move it, how hard is it to just pick it up, move it and then put it back without damaging and losing parts? Apparently, very difficult.
  5. Sure looks nice! Especially with that head fin intact.

SOAFB!!! Just realized that yet again our housekeepers have lost parts of my toys! Every time, I tell them not to touch things and if they do to be careful and they always manage to do something I just can't imagine. This time, my 31F, which was in gerwalk mode was in some form in between gerwalk and Battroid mode. I thought that was it but after further inspection, the head fin is missing and as usual, nowhere to be found because I'm sure they vacuumed it up. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! The only consolation is that I think Bandai had the sense to include an extra but I haven't checked the box yet. Irritating as all hell that I can't display my things in my own home without stuff getting broken or lost.

Good points. However you want to put it, I've always had a thing for skulls on fighter planes from childhood reading books, building models and watching them take off/land at airstrips. That's part of how Macross hooked me from the start!

I Prefer tailart as well. I wish the HMR Messer VF-1 had the emblem on the tailfins instead of the spine.

Haha this! I don't hate the show like so many others but the biggest draw to me is Valks and the Skull insignia and the evolution of it appeals to me. I never opened my regular 31J because I'd rather have the Kai but never imagined it would be this much of a pain to get. If I don't end up with one, I guess I'll finally open my regular one.
  10. Very nice! Man I need to open some stuff. This MechaG is looking so good. I don't have time or space for it ATM so I've been holding off on taking mine out, along with the Sentinel AntiG EVA.
  11. Love it! Only Macross gets the CF BG treatment?

Damn, you got the two hardest ones to get! Well, I guess the 31A isn't exactly hard to get right now but probably will be later.
  13. Damn, that's really tempting! Probably have to pass though.
  14. Again, I'm not too concerned with matching inconsistent animation frames. I'm more into just how the armaments would be mounted logically. As for the 1/48 sets, man I hope I can find my Max someday...I look forward to be able to mount those missiles correctly for once if that is the case.
  15. That's how I do it. My DYRL style valks with strike packs have the missile cluster inside and dual reaction missiles outside. Again, that configuration makes sense to me. My SDFM style valks have dual reaction inside and single outside...again, just makes more sense and looks better. Anyways, I need to open this stuff, might go with that medium sized tripack in some way just to mix things up. I have my 0S loaded up with those right now. Damn, I want Max and some 1/60 1As now too. BTW, that second pic makes the Valk look real goofy. Like some sort of tiny head.
  16. Thanks! Two young kids are putting strain on my relationship with my wife...they are amazing kids but we have no help and no time off from them in nearly 5 years. It gets really tough. Thats one of the things, I love taking pics when I open stuff and I barely have time to just sit for a minute. I'm glad you and others are posting all these incredible pictures though!
  17. Yeah, been meaning to...life gets in the way sometimes. My collections are getting out of hand again where I'm getting more shipments than I have time to open them. That's how I reached endpoint last time I quit collecting.
  18. You're making it really hard for me to resist opening mine. Still haven't opened Hikaru 1S either yet.
  19. That definitely looks like they are attached to one dual point like the toy. But in that configuration it does make sense. I think they could still do two points per wing but just give two options for the dual point, one that's the same as the one they make now and one that's offset a bit and spaced so when you do 3 reaction missiles per wing, they look like they are on individual pylons. I'm clearly much more nitpicky with stuff like this than I am about a shade of color difference but it's because I'm more interested in military hardware than I am with color coordination and matching warplanes.
  20. I've seen something like that before but it just doesn't make sense to me. It really should be three separate like this:
  21. Yeah, you are right that those missiles should each be on their own individual hard point but I guess that doesn't work as well for all the different payload options.
  22. Beaut! It seems like I'm the only one who prefers the dual missles on the inside. Makes more sense to me that way but I always see it the other way in instructions and pics.
  23. True! I've had paint come off after minutes on one of those stands. Some seran wrap or paper over the tips should solve the problem though.
  24. Nice shot @hardreturn!
  25. Looking good! I gotta open mine but kinda feel like waiting for Max
