Just paid for the HMR Max and shipping. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

So I finally got to assemble the battroid over the weekend. Sad to say it took me not 30 minutes, but hours lol. Mostly I was being careful in cutting the parts from the sprues and then trimming it. It was my first time with such small parts, it was not so easy and my hands aren't big! Haha. Sometimes when I cut a part it would pop away and minutes are spent looking for that tiny part. I had several instances where I feared either I'd lose the part or I'd accidentally step on it. I probably wouldn't be getting another battroid unless it's a VF-1D. It's not a toy I can play with unfortunately. But I like the fighters for display purposes.

Not sure when I can start on the fighter as I can only work on it on weekends. And HMR Max is coming soon anyway, might make me even forget about the Tomytecs for a while.

I liked the movie a lot. I was thinking of seeing it again in 3D but I changed my mind when I remembered HMR Max is coming soon

I can't say I'm a particular fan of the faceup on this one. If pricing holds from the previous Macross DD release, she'll probably come in at 65k-70k jpy. I would venture to guess that the stage outfit will be the default with the travel/casual outfit to be an add-on (both Sheryl and Ranka shipped with stage outfits).

My VF31C and VF31J fighter kits finally arrived. But I still have the SDF Macross kits to assemble so they'll have to wait for their turn.

I'm only 1/4 through and they sound really hyper talking so fast. Can't really say much as my brain is tired. Anyway thanks for posting this. I now have something more to listen to during lunch hour at work.

My Max order is in danger! My card got refused when I tried to pay for something I ordered recently--it always happens with Paypal!!

On the other hand, it's good to know I have this problem in advance. I'll have to use another card just in case. Or if the worst comes I'll have to order somewhere else IF another Max is available T_T

Is TomyTec owned by Bandai? If so, I want that VF-1D and those Frontier valks too.

I also want a TV Roy HMR, web exclusive or not. I missed out on the first wave (only knew about HMR while I was in Japan and by that time only the regults were left on display).

Macross 7 taught me how to enjoy valkyrie designs despite being in an awful show.

Haha. Seriously, I was really excited when the first few episodes came up. And then things went slowly downhill. So the only one I cared about by the end was Mirage. She was always shedding a tear or two. I'm thinking of getting the 1/72 kit if I pass on the DX. Though my model painting skills are nil...

An unintended consequence of Delta's dismal 2nd half was that I wasn't drooling that much anymore over these. I imagine I'd be stressed enough not getting these if Delta met my expectations. But if they release Mirage's after I recover from the hit from HMR Miria I might reconsider...

Good thing I made allowances for that. The trend seems to release these valks earlier. Now I was planning on having the 3rd sortie book shipped I hope they don't arrive at the same time. Last time I picked up my stuff from the post office I had to pick up 2 boxes but I was worried about getting taxed. On the bright side I only had to go just once to pick up the 2 boxes instead of twice.

I liked Emilia's singing voice more than Mylene's. Quite powerful. I think it would have been great to have more epic duets with her and Basara.

8 year old? Nope. Too many small parts and too fragile in comparison to say a standard 3 3/4 Iron man action figure.

It's not anime but is Legacy of Revoltech Iron Man Mark VII an ok gift for an 8 year old? Or anything else from that line. Will it withstand some rough handling?

Finally I got my battroids after 2 months of waiting! The battroid small parts are not as scary as the fighter kit's, so I might assemble the battroids first. But before that I'll still need to practice on a gunpla it's been a while since I assembled a kit.

I mean, after all those repeating songs you'll welcome the new songs haha. I loved Heart & Soul and Angel Voice.

Why not new songs? Basara's always singing every opportunity he gets lol. (I guess I'm not overly impressed with the Delta songs, there are only a few songs I really like. I'm not really looking forward to hearing from them again aside from JUNNA.)
