So, these would probably go for 14k yen each? yeah? looks like i'll have to live like a pauper in the next few months
-
The TomyTecs haven't even showed up yet now there's more stuff to budget for T_T
-
Thanks for the replies

Does this model need to be painted? It's tempting but I don't want to paint stuff.
-
I like the ED and Ikenai Borderline. But over-all music is meh. I've been spoiled by Macross Frontier and Kanno.
-
HS has the Draken up for pre-order http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10389708
But I'm not getting it since I want to complete the Walkure fighters instead.
-
August is still too far away...And now HS ran out of Luminescence Unit already.

Not sure what shipping options you use outside of JAC, but normally I use either standard shipping (USPS) or priority (Fedex, UPS) when these options are available. Basically I need one that gives me a tracking number. I get my packages in 4-6 weeks for standard and a week or less for priority. It doesn't take months on average.
I'm talking about when packages are big, since volumetric computation pricing can be costlier than weight-based computation. For that sea freight is an option for those who want to save on costs (and of course delivery will take longer).
-
That's why you have to be careful with the size of the item too. With MSB you can also use sea freight it costs much less. But then you'd have to wait for months...

Ah! Kabayan!
Customs in the Philippines... is putting money to government people's deep pockets.
Yeah, a huge chunk of taxes are wasted due to corruption.
Unfortunately for me I have found these forwarders convenient and I haven't been able to keep track of my expenses properly.
-
I use Johnny Air Cargo and MyShoppingBox to forward stuff (mostly books) to the Philippines. I don't like to wait months so I just bear with the extra cost.
-
I order stuff from Amazon and I use a forwarder. I don't trust and don't want to deal with the local post office and customs.

what do you think are the 'gimmicks' for the battroids?
Never mind...found the hints at hobby search. On the other hand, I wanted to get the VF-1A fighters yesterday but reservations were closed. T_T

Dx vf 31 is so tempting. But i dont have space for it...
-
sure, at least we'd have an idea what to expect with these kits.
-
If I had the space to display stuff I'd get into the 1/60, no doubt bigger stuff is more impressive. That's why I'm not really that excited about the HMR valks (except maybe Miria/Max models). But reality is different, so I'll have to pass on 1/60 scale.

To the best of my knowledge, the USA does not charge import/customs fees... at least I've never encountered it, no matter how large the box or how high the declared value on the shipping label, whether if by SAL, EMS, or FedEx.
That's nice to know...eases my mind a bit

Since the Monster might be big and heavy, is it more likely to be charged by customs (US)? It would be my first time to order from Japan to US.

I use the Loctite Super Glue Ultra Liquid Control which you can find at your local Home Depot.
I just put a drop or 2 on a plate then use a toothpick to apply.
I've no experience on kits needing glue. Could you recommend something for a beginner? I want to some practice first. I just preordered the macross delta 31c and 31j and I really don't want to mess up when the time comes to assemble them.
-
Are you also gonna do a Macross 7 marathon?

I want those m&m's!
I actually have Max's 1/48 VF-1A and it's just too big for me.
-
VF-31C and VF-31J for me.

Ok. Thanks!

Mirage's valk would be my 1st priority. Then 2nd would be Hayate's since I like blue. The rest, well, if I won the lottery maybe I'll get them then
