Even before bootlegs were mentioned I think Arcadia already had a problem with their business model. It is not the customer's fault. That said I do not want Arcadia to fail, as more competition means more choices and reasonable prices (I wish).

You can pay with creditcard in euro, since that's what their official currency, but other currency works too.  If your credit card don't card foreign transaction fee it would not matter what you choose.  

 

I only brought 2 items from them and they delivered without issues.  I'm sure others brought from them here and there too.

My excitement is tempered by the worry that MyKombini will cancel my HMR Miria order like they did with the Glaug. I hope this time they don't do the paypal BS and just ship it...

August release for VF31C sounds good for me, gives more time to save for it. Might also have to delay or just shelve my planned Amazon purchases. As to getting a preorder, on the other hand, well, we'll see on preorder day.

I got the MyKombini refund but not in the mood to buy anything right now. Maybe it's the universe telling me I don't need the Glaug in my collection

I haven't received a cancellation for my Millia preorder. But I will be looking at alternatives now that there is a possibility they will cancel my order.

So MyKombini hasn't answered my email regarding the Glaug order cancellation. I'm now really worried about my Milia preorder. I've also decided that will be my last order with them. I paid as I should but I won't be putting up with the Paypal bullshit just to get some toys.

So MyKombini cancelled my Glaug order. Reason was " Unfortunately,we have refunded your payment because you are not eligilbe to seller protection so we can't ship your parcel.
If you want to buy in our store you must use paypal. "

I have sent an email for further explanation. I have a preorder for HMR Milia with them that was paid partially and I dread asking about it. T_T

Finally got the not-Hikky armored valk out of the box. Pic is sideways as he looks unbalanced from the front. I only found the adaptor for stands after I cleaned up and put the remaining stuff in the box. I also failed to read about it in the manual in my excitement lol. I'll try again when HMR Milia becomes available. It's gonna be one big happy group pic!

I'm kinda glad I bought this one over the VF1S Hikky as he looks awesome. He's gonna be displayed permanently as removing those armor just to put him back in the box is tedious. What I am worried about is the leg articulation. I wanted to raise his right leg a little more but the joint is too stiff. Is that normal? I'm afraid I'll break it if put more pressure to bend it.

That said, I was kinda disappointed that there's barely any HMR on the shelves, while there were loads of Gundam robot damashii here, Gundam gunpla there. But I guess sold out is better so that Bandai makes more Macross HMR.

My Macross loot from Japan. (I bought other stuff but they're accessories and it's hard getting them together in a picture with a nice background.) There were also other stuff I saw but I was going to stick to my list no matter what to prevent overspending. (THough I still overspent on other stuff especially food lol.) So from my toys list these are the only ones I could find. Sheryl as Basara was an exception because she was a) cheap, and b) she was cosplaying as Basara! They're two of the most powerful singers in Macross! How could I resist.

Yes it was a good price but still was almost 12k with shipping. It would have been cheaper if I bought it in Japan but after the experience dragging my luggage through snow I have no regrets.

I should have gone to sleep but I wanted to check how many points I had at MyKombini. And behold a Glaug was in stock! You know what happens next...

Now my wallet is very much lighter my inner fiscally responsible conscience is crying I need to work harder now where do I get extra money T_T

At least I no longer have the urge to buy other stuff like the diecast tachikomas. I'm concentrating on Macross from now on (HMRs and the Tomytecs). I'm not even enthusiastic about watching Logan anymore...

If I'd just seen this thread I wouldn't have ordered stuff from HLJ today T_T
