    I actually want to see a sports Macross show where Aeronotic schools (like the one Alto was in) of different colonies compete in mock Valkyrie combat and performances. It will have no war but to show the lives of people in the colonies.

    I dont think Aerial Knights immature only Bogue. They are soldiers in a war that they thinj is just. Im actually expecting Hermanand Quasim as the voice of reason. The show wont paint the Windermerians as completely in the wrong. Also inevitable cute Freyja and Bogue moments they both cant control their runes. Hope Herman survives and becomes an apple farmer.

    Zentradi had an extremely high body count too but we are expected to just accept that they are allies now. Such is war.

    Reina and Makina are described as being like sisters and in Asian cultures skinship is a thing, no homo really. Also gay japanese guys like being flamboyant. What you see as a caricature is par the course in Japan because they are making a statement. I mean Vash and Bobby are typical in the context of Japan.

    Ragna and Windemere never had a choice in alien intervention. I see Windremere and Ragna like Native Americans and Polynesians who werr visited by colonizers. No matter the intenition Spacy had bearing down on primitives is going to have severe consrquences. Windemerians probably see their own culture disappearing and assimilating to the Aliens. "uplifiting" is a more modern term of colonization.

    So I assume Macross fleets have no Prime Directive ala Star Trek? Seems to me Ragna and Windemere fleets just landed on pre fold civilizations and pushed their way of life on them.

    Maybe because Macross as a whole has human/living spirit trumps vocaloids and artificial constructs. That and Sharon Wasatch psycho AI who didn't save humanity.

    More assumptions. Smaller lifespans does not equal immaturity of a race. If so Zentradi would be paragons of wisdom due to their immense lifespans. There's a always a reason and until I see the reason I'm not painting them as true bad guys. They might have their reasons it's not never that simple. I thought watching Macross series antagonists might have not clued you in. I'm not saying there aren't bad elements in the kingdom of the wind but with so little info, I'm not writing them off as iredeemebly evil just yet until I get more info. Secession isn't always a bad thing and their revolution may have been just but coopted by corrupt elements. And I don't think it's plausable that NUNs may have wronged them in some way, they are the natives after all and they have claim over Windemere and no one can tell them otherwise. Our own history shows how friction generates when more technologicaly advanced race meets the natives of a more primitive society. Like true Macross fashion I expect the what's left of the Aerial Knights and Delta Squadron to be flying side by side to fight a larger threat backed by love and song, ending with a compromise between Windemere and NUNs to further the shows message of peace.

    Can't you not make assumptions on the reason for driving of NUNs? We haven't been given any perspective on what happened. You're just making theories that have little support since the show hasn't gotten to the heart of the conflict. You are quick to assume that Windemere is in the wrong when Macross rarely is black&white in its conflicts.

    Some of you guys sure treat Macross as if it was hard sci fi. Shoji Kawamori who is an aviation engineer knows his physics but also knows to throw them out the window for something cool. Also I hope they dont portray Windemeres cessation as a bad thing. Hoping it was justified but corrupted by fanatics. I felt sad that the unification of earth under UN Sapcy was done violently. Join UN or else! There tons of problems with one world Governments.

    The idol industry is not about talent but mostly about marketing an experience and fantasy. It's about the illusion that the idols are your close friends. An idol having a relationship is said to distance them too much from their fans. Weird logic but that's why its there. It's also not exclusive to women, popular male performers are told to be single as well so that their female fans won't feel threatened.
